1 THALYS COMPETITION RULES Le Cat takes the Thalys ARTICLE 1 The company SA THI Factory (hereafter referred to as Thalys ), registered with the Crossroads Bank for Entreprises with number , RPR Brussels and its registered office at Place Stéphanie 20, 1050 Brussels, Belgium, is holding a Competition, with no obligation to purchase. The general conditions of participation are described below. Participation in the Competition is only possible on the website: The Competition is being held Belgium. ARTICLE 2 The Competition will take place from 23 February 2016 at 00:00 (GMT + 1) to 20 March 2016 at 23:59 (GMT + 1). ARTICLE 3 Participation in the Competition is open to all adults living in Belgium, with the exception of employees of Thalys, the Competition organiser, and all direct and indirect collaborators who have worked on the organisation of this Competition. First-degree relatives of the persons enumerated in the preceding paragraph are also excluded from participation. Participation in the Competition is free and no purchase is necessary. ARTICLE 4 Thalys reserves the right to verify the accuracy of information provided by Participants. Thalys may permanently exclude a participant from the Competition at any time if any of the conditions of participation are breached or if false information as defined in Article 9 is provided, or in the event of abuse, cheating or a breach of trust during participation in the Competition.

2 ARTICLE 5 In order to validate their participation in the Contest, the Participant must go to the website to take part in the contest under the conditions described below. To be able to play, the Participant must enter his/her correct contact information (title, first name, last name, , country of residence and language) in the form provided. Participation in the Contest must take place between 23 February 2016 at 00h00 (GMT+1) and 20 March 2016, at 23:59 (GMT +1) at the latest. Only entries recorded between these dates will be accepted. The prizes won by Contest Winners are described below in Article 7.2. ARTICLE 6 Thalys gives no guarantee regarding the Prizes and cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damages directly or indirectly related to the Prize won. The Prize is indivisible and must be accepted as it is given. ARTICLE Procedures for naming the Winners and awarding the Prize: The Participant must complete the questionnaire given by Thalys to validate the participation. The Participant must correctly answer the following three questions: Who is the author of Le Cat? 1) Prince Laurent of Belgium 2) Philippe Geluck 3) Tintin In which Belgian newspaper did Le Cat first appear in 1983? 1) Le Soir 2) Le Monde 3) Metro What is the name of Le Cat's barman? 1) Maurice 2) Leo 3) Roger

3 After completing the questionnaire, the Participant must also answer the following question: "How many people will try their luck and enter the contest by 20 March 2016 at midnight? The scores of Participants who share the Contest on Facebook or Twitter or send an to their friends will be doubled 1. Thalys will announce eleven Winners by by 15 April 2016 at the latest. The Winners will be the eleven Participants who correctly answered the three questions and gave the closest answer to the fourth question. In the event that the answers to the first three questions are correct and several Participants give the same answer to the fourth question, Thalys will have a drawing to determine a single winner. The prizes awarded to Contest Winners are described in Article The Prizes 1 st Prize : One weekend in Paris for a family (4 people) of a total value of 1383, all taxes included, with: Four round-trip Thalys tickets in Comfort 1 between two cities with Thalys service in Belgium only and Paris, worth 928, all taxes included. Tickets are non-exchangeable, non-refundable and subject to availability. The booking must take place at least three weeks before the date of travel and within a period of four months from when the Winner is awarded the Prize as specified in article 7.3. A night at the Novotel Paris Porte d Orléans, with breakfast included, worth 231, all taxes included. The Novotel Paris Porte d Orléans will welcome you for one night in a 45m2 Suite with a view of Paris. The designer Suite is very large with a bedroom, living-room and a bathroom. It provides top-notch amenities such as WiFi, minibar, Nespresso machine, bathrobes and slippers and two flat-screen televisions (for two adults and two children maximum). Four free admissions to the "L'Art et le Chat" exhibition at the Musée en Herbe, worth 24, all taxes included. One deluxe copy of "Le Chat fait des petits" valued at 200, all taxes included. 2 nd to 6 th Prizes: One copy of "L Art et le Chat", valued at 14.50, all taxes included. 1 Participants agree not to send electronic messages to third parties to solicit their participation in the Contest, unless prior approval of said third parties has been obtained. Thalys does not save or use the addresses to which the Contest link has been sent.

4 7 th to 11 th Prizes: One copy of "Le Chat fait des petits" valued at 17.95, all taxes included Awarding the Prize to the winners: Thalys will inform the Winners by contacting them via the address they provided when they registered for the Contest. If necessary, the Winner must produce a copy of his identity card for identification purposes. If the data on the identity card is not identical to that on the entry form, the Prize will not be awarded. Thalys will then draw lots to decide the Winner. The Prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed in cash. Therefore, under no circumstances may financial compensation be requested in place of the Prize awarded. Thalys can replace one (or more) of the prizes announced with another (or other) prize(s) of equivalent value if forced to do so by external factors Competition participation costs: Competition Participants may obtain free reimbursement of Internet connection costs, exclusive of all other Competition costs, by making a written request to the Competition s postal address. Postage costs paid by Participants for reimbursement requests will be reimbursed at current second-class post rates when a request is included to this effect with the request for reimbursement of Internet charges. Given that under current service offers and technical capacities, some Internet service providers provide Internet connections free of charge or as part of an all-inclusive price for Internet users, it is specifically agreed that access to the website on a free-of-charge basis or as part of an all-inclusive price (by cable, ADSL or specialist connection, etc.) shall in no event be reimbursed, inasmuch as subscription to the service provider s services is in this case part of a contract entered into by the Internet user for overall Internet use, and that the fact that the Participant connected to the website and took part in the Competition does not incur any additional expenses or outlay for them. For Internet connections that are invoiced on a pro rata basis according to use, the cost of connecting to the site to participate in the competition will be reimbursed by bank transfer only upon written request from the Participant. To obtain reimbursement of the connection fees and postage for their refund request, Participants must submit a written request to the Competition address on plain paper containing the following: Surname, first name, personal postal address and address

5 A photocopy of their identity card The dates, times and durations of the connections to the site A copy or copies of the details of the invoice(s) from the telephone service and/or access provider to which they subscribe, showing the dates and times of connections to the site The Participant's bank account details. Refunds will be made by transfer only. Participants (same name, same address) may only make one reimbursement request for the duration of the Competition. Reimbursement will be made on a fixed basis of two minutes flat connection, that is, 0.45, tax included, per questionnaire completed. Reimbursement will be made within two months. ARTICLE 8 Except as stated in Article 12, Participants will not send any correspondence to Thalys, nor attempt to telephone or communicate with them in any other way during and after the Competition. ARTICLE 9 Participants agree to any checks being carried out in relation to their identity. Participants providing a false identity or address shall be excluded from the Competition. ARTICLE 10 Participation in the Competition implies full and unconditional acceptance of these rules and no challenge in this respect shall be considered. Any complaints relating to this Competition must be sent in writing within 7 working days of the end of the Competition to Thalys registered office at the address stated above. Complaints will not under any circumstances be dealt with verbally or by telephone. Complaints which do not comply will not be processed. ARTICLE 11 As organiser of this Competition, Thalys cannot be held liable for the suspension, postponement, modification (including changes to the prizes awarded) or cancellation of the Competition in the event of Force Majeure, or of unforeseeable circumstances or circumstances beyond its control, and no compensation shall be owed to Participants on account thereof. Thalys has absolute discretion in this respect and its decisions are final.

6 ARTICLE 12 These rules are available to Participants in full and free of charge at They can also be sent free of charge to anyone who sends a written request by post to the following address: THI Factory, Digital Campaigns & Content Strategy, Le Cat takes the Thalys Competition, Place Stéphanie 20, 1050 Brussels, Belgium. In this case, the postage will be refunded by mail at current second-class post rates, if the Participant makes an explicit request in his letter and includes his banking information. ARTICLE 13 The information supplied by Participants when registering for the Contest will be used to award the Prizes to Winners. In the context of this Competition, personal data provided by Participants will be processed by THI Factory S.A. and, if applicable, by Thalys International S.C.R.L., in accordance with the Thalys privacy policy available at ARTICLE 14 In the event that one of the provisions of these rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This condition applies to the extent that it is authorised by law. Any breach of the rules and any attempt at fraud and/or cheating shall result in the immediate exclusion of the Participant from the Contest. No claim may be brought against Thalys on the grounds of a misprint, spelling mistake, typographical error or any similar error. Thalys cannot be held liable for technical problems in relation to the website and/or computers in stores and/or the electronic mail system - Internet problems. Thalys cannot be held liable for any problems that may arise in relation to configuration of hardware and/or software and/or computer communications.

7 ARTICLE 15 These competition rules are governed by Belgian law, without reference to conflict of law provisions. The Participant accepts that any legal action arising from participation in the Competition or regarding the Competition rules will be the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels (Belgium) and agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of any such court for the purposes of such action.
