1 Farmers and USC VIP Experience SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES This Farmers and USC VIP Experience Sweepstakes ( Sweepstakes ), sponsored by Farmers Insurance Exchange ( Sponsor or Farmers ), is subject to and shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and applicable regulatory and industry rules, regulations and guidelines. Entrant s participation in this Sweepstakes constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules as well as all other applicable rules, terms, conditions, requirements and restrictions. 1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. A purchase, payment, or insurance quote from Farmers, a Farmers agent, or any of Farmers Affiliates does not and will not increase your chances of winning. 2. ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the state of California, age 18 or older at the time of entry. Any persons outside of the state of California are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win the Prize(s); current or former employees, agents, their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings, spouse, partners) and/or district managers of Farmers or any of the companies comprising the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies and/or members of their households (whether related or not). For the purposes of these Official Rules, Affiliates means and shall include any existing or future person that directly or indirectly, through one or more intermediaries, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control or management with Sponsor. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant: (1) agrees to abide by these Official Rules; (2) understands and agrees that the Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations; (3) agrees that all disputes relating to this Sweepstakes will be decided by the Sponsor in Sponsor s sole and absolute discretion; and (4) agrees that all decisions of the Sponsor will be final and cannot be contested. 3. ENTRY: Only one (1) Sweepstakes entry form per qualified entrant will be accepted, regardless of the method of entry. Any additional or duplicate entries will be discarded and may disqualify the entrant from the Sweepstakes. Any incomplete entry forms may be invalidated at the Sponsor s sole discretion. Individuals may enter the Sweepstakes by completing the Farmers and USC VIP EXPERIENCE Sweepstakes on Farmers Corporate Facebook page ( This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Each entrant understands that it is providing information to Sponsor and not to Facebook. The information each entrant provides will only be used for purposes of this

2 Sweepstakes. Any questions, comments or complaints about this Sweepstakes should be directed to the Sponsor, not to Facebook. If any part of these Official Rules are held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed in a manner consistent with applicable law to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intentions of the Sponsor, and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. These Official Rules and any matter related to this Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict of law provisions. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant deemed to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or Farmers website; (b) violating the Official Rules; (c) violating the Terms of Service or conditions of use; or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. 4. PRIZE & CONDITIONS: The Prize is two (2) tickets to the University of Southern California vs. Arizona State football game on November 10, 2012 and the opportunity to be part of the official game coin toss prior to game kick off on November 10, 2012 ( Prize ).The cost of the entire Prize will not exceed $ The estimated retail or suggested value of the Prize excludes federal, state and local taxes, airport fees, travel fees and any other expenses related to the acceptance and use of the Prize. Odds: All Sweepstakes entry forms will be combined to create an entry pool from which one Winner will be chosen by random drawing. The odds of winning depend on the total number of valid Sweepstakes entries received by the Sponsor. Prize Conditions & Restrictions: The Prize may NOT be sold, bartered, assigned, substituted or exchanged by any winner. No cash or other substitutions or equivalents of the prize are allowed. Prize must be redeemed and taken by no later than November 7 th, Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entrants who fail to follow these Official Rules, or who make any misrepresentations relative to this Sweepstakes and redemption of the Prize. Each winner shall be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a liability release, a publicity release, a general release, and other documents, including but not limited to tax documents, as applicable, except where prohibited by law. Each winner shall solely be responsible for all applicable taxes on the value of the Prize and, if applicable, will be issued an IRS 1099-MISC tax form for the retail value of the Prize. If Sponsor needs your Social Security Number in order to issue a 1099-Misc., winner agrees to provide it upon request, or forfeit the right to any Prize. By entering the Sweepstakes, each winner understands that he/she shall be liable for this tax responsibility, not Sponsor.

3 5. SWEEPSTAKES DURATION & DRAWING DETAILS: Sweepstakes runs from 12:00 A.M. Pacific time on October 20, 2012 through 11:59 P.M. Pacific time on November 4, All Sweepstakes entries must be received by the entry deadline of November 4, :59pm, Pacific time. Sponsor s computer is the official clock for all purposes related to the Sweepstakes entry. Proof of delivery or receipt of the Sweepstakes entry form will not be deemed by Sponsor as proof of entry into this Sweepstakes. Winner Notification: The winner will be notified by November 5, 2012, by and telephone, using the contact information provided by the entrant on the Sweepstakes entry form. The winner must contact the Sponsor to accept the Prize in accordance with the Prize acceptance instructions which will be provided to the winner, and the winner will have two (2) business days from notification by the Sponsor to claim the Prize. If the winner fails to comply with the Prize acceptance instructions, or does not provide Sponsor with the requested documents and/or information within two (2) days of the Sponsor s request, Sponsor may select an alternate winner via a random drawing. As required by law, the name of the winner will be provided upon request. PUBLICITY: As a condition of entry to the Sweepstakes and acceptance of the Prize, Sponsor has the right to publicize the winner of the Prize for any promotion or matter related to the Sweepstakes. By accepting the Prize, the winner consents fully and explicitly to the use of his/her name, as well as the use of his/her picture by Sponsor. The winner may be required by Sponsor to participate in a photo session. Winner acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor has the right to use his/her name and such publicity photos in any medium (including, but not limited to, television and the Internet), and in any reasonable manner Sponsor deems fit. Winner agrees to make himself/herself available for publicity purposes without charge. 7. RELEASE, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, INDEMNITY & DISCLAIMER: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants and/or the winner hereby agree to release Sponsor from any and all claims, damages or liabilities, including but not limited to bodily injury or death, arising from or relating to entrants and/or the winner s participation in the Sweepstakes. By acceptance of the Prize, each winner agrees to release Sponsor from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses of any kind to person or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Sweepstakes, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the Prize, or any typographical or other error in the Official Rules or the offering and announcement of Prize. Under no circumstances will entrants and/or the winner be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrants and/or the winner hereby waive all rights to: any claim(s), punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages whatsoever, including attorney s fees, other than the actual out-of-pocket expenses (including, not limited to, costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes). Furthermore, entrants and the winner agree that any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes and the Prize awarded shall be resolved solely by Sponsor, shall be final and binding, and without resort to any form of litigation, including, any class action. The winner understands and agrees that neither Sponsor nor any of Sponsor s Affiliates make, nor are they in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prize including but not limited to its quality, fitness for purpose or condition. Sponsor, and its Affiliates shall not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage delays, postponements, inclement weather, rescheduling or any other natural disasters outside their respective control. Sponsor is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, lack of transmission, deletion, defect, delay in operation, communications line failure, theft, destruction, or failure in communications for any Sweepstakes entry form submitted on-line. This includes, but is not limited to, any unavailability in any computer network, server, telephone line or other connections, failed software or hardware transmissions, other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic, including lost, late, incomplete, damaged, stolen, or misdirected Sweepstakes entry forms received on-line. All entrants agree to release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Facebook, Farmers and its Affiliates, as well as their respective directors, officers, agents, employees, attorneys-in-fact and shareholders from and against any and all claims, debts, liabilities, demands, obligations, costs, expenses, losses, actions, causes of action, judgments for damages, alleged claims or litigation arising out of, resulting from or in connection with the acceptance of the Prize or participation in the Sweepstakes including, but not limited to, loss of income, personal injury, damage to any property or to the Prize, whether such damage is direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise. Neither Sponsor nor any of its Affiliates will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred if, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is suspended, varied or terminated at any time, with

Neither Sponsor nor any of its Affiliates will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred arising from late, lost or misdirected Sweepstakes entry forms. Neither Sponsor nor any of its Affiliates will be liable to any person for any loss or damage sustained or incurred arising from any change to the value of the Prize occurring between the date the Sweepstakes begin and the date the Prize is claimed. Neither Sponsor nor any Affiliate will be liable for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Website. Use of the Website is at Entrant s own risk. 9. PRIVACY POLICY REGARDING THIS SWEEPSTAKES: Entrants will be required to enter a valid address, a valid phone number and their full name in order to enter this contest. Farmers will use this information only for administering this Sweepstakes or to comply with a legal requirement. Only employees that need to know this information will have access to it and this information will not be sold to any other person or organization. Entrants will not be solicited solely as a result of entering this Sweepstakes, unless entrant opts in to receive information from Sponsor. 10.
