3 PROPOSER & SPONSOR QUALIFICATIONS 1. Must be a member in good standing of Race Brook Country Club to be able to propose or sponsor a prospective member (Applicant). 2. Must not be related by blood or marriage to the Applicant. 3. A House member can propose or sponsor a prospective member applying for any membership category. ADMISSION PROCEDURES & GUIDELINES 1. The Proposer should obtain an Admissions Packet from the business office of the Club on behalf of the prospective member. The various forms are to be completed by the Proposer, Sponsor and Applicant. 2. The completed forms are to be submitted by the Proposer to the business office of the Club on behalf of the Applicant. The materials are to be addressed to the Chair(s) of the Admissions Committee. 3. The business office of the Club will contact the Chair(s) of the Admissions Committee to arrange an interview with the Applicant. 4. Upon approval by the Admissions Committee, the Applicant s name is presented to the Board of Governors and then posted until the next Board meeting, to notify the general membership. 5. The Applicant will be notified of his or her financial Obligations and a check for this amount must be returned to the business office prior to the next Board of Governor s monthly meeting. 6. All prospective members must attend a reception with the Officers and Board members before being voted on. In case of Household Full membership, the two adults must attend. Spouses of single membership Applicants are encouraged to attend the reception. 7. After all of the above requirements have been satisfactorily completed, the Board will vote on the admission of the Applicant(s). Depending upon the timing of when the paperwork is received, the complete admissions process can take up to two (2) months.

7 INITIATION PLAN SELECTION Choose one: I will pay the Initiation Fee in one payment. I choose the 3-Year Initiation Plan. In the event that I, the Applicant, choose the payment plan offered by Race Brook Country Club, and during the next three years I either change Membership class or resign from Race Brook Country Club, I shall be responsible for the remaining balance of my initial initiation. I understand that I will not be entitled to a refund of any of the monies that I have paid towards my initial initiation fee. If my account shall become delinquent, the account may be referred to a collection agency, attorney, or both. In such an event, I understand that I shall be liable for the balance due plus collection agency and reasonable attorney s fee, court costs and all other charges associated with the collection of the debt, together with interest at the maximum allowed by law. Any check I remit may be applied by Race Brook Country Club against any obligation owing from me to Race Brook Country Club, regardless of any statement appearing on or referring to such check, without discharging my liability for any additional amounts owing to Race Brook Country Club. The acceptance by Race Brook Country Club of such check shall not constitute a waiver of Race Brook Country Club s right to pursue the collection of any remaining balance. 8 DEPOSIT IN ADVANCE (D.A.) ACCOUNT & MINIMUM SPENDING Member s individual charge accounts are referred to as Deposit in Advance Accounts (D.A.). Members are required to have a positive cash balance in their D.A. at all times. You should anticipate what your spending will be for the upcoming month and put sufficient funds in your account to cover all charges, including dues and assessments. If your account is overdrawn at the end of the month, you will have until the 13 th of the following month to get your account paid. It will not matter if the 13 th day falls on a weekend or holiday. If the account is not paid up in full by the 13 th day of the month, you will be charged a late fee in accordance with the following schedule: Amount of Delinquency Late Payment Charge Up to $25 $5 $26 - $100 $20 $101 - $500 $50 $501 1,000 $100 Over $1,000 $200 If the account is still in arrears on the 22 nd day of the month, the member will be notified that on the last day of the month his credit will be shut off and all club privileges suspended. As a reminder, a table of the various membership categories and the respective minimum spending amounts associated with each appears below. Race Brook County Club imposes the minimum spending requirement for 10 months of the year; January and February have no minimum spending requirements.
