Backgrund Under the Husing Services Act, the Regin f Durham may establish lcal incme limits t be eligible fr rent-geared-t-incme (RGI). Incme limits may be updated annually as a result f changes t the husehld incme limits set ut in Schedule 2 f Ontari Regulatin 370/11 and the average market rents fr the regin f Durham set ut in the fall editin f the Rental Market Reprt fr the Greater Trnt Area published by the Canada Mrtgage and Husing Crpratin (CMHC). Incme Limits The incme limits are as fllws: Bachelr / 1 Bedrm 2 Bedrms 3 Bedrms 4+ Bedrms $42,000 $47,000 $53,000 $71,000 Incme limits apply in relatin t the largest unit fr which the husehld is eligible under the ccupancy standards. Excluded Incme Incme that is excluded frm RGI calculatins under subsectin 50(3) f Ontari Regulatin 298/01 is als excluded frm cnsideratin under the lcal incme limits, except fr paragraphs 42 t 47 f that sectin. 2 Applicatin Incme limits apply nly t RGI applicants t determine eligibility fr placement n the Durham Access t Scial Husing (DASH) wait list. They d nt apply t current RGI tenants and c-p members, r t current market tenants/c-p members in scial husing wh are applying fr in-situ RGI. DASH Prcess Durham Access t Scial Husing (DASH) will review the regular nging grss incme f the husehld: at the time f applicatin annually after placement n the wait list. Grss husehld incme will be determined as declared by the applicant at the time f applicatin r annual review. DASH will nt nrmally verify incme, but may request cnfirmatin at its discretin. Grace Perid If an applicant was remved frm the waiting list due t incme and reapplies within12 mnths with incme belw the applicable incme limit, they may retain the applicatin date that was in place at the time that they were remved frm the waiting list. Effective Date These incme limits cme int effect January 1, Repealed Rules This directive replaces Directive RGI Incme Limits.
