2 Q: When do we get the new emx platform? A: emx was released in December for all EMA advisors. Enterprise partners will receive emx access as part of a staggered rollout throughout Q. What are Morningstar Advisor Workstation SM and Morningstar Office SM? A. Morningstar Advisor Workstation SM is a web-based platform for financial advisors associated with broker dealers that brings together Morningstar s investment research, portfolio analysis, hypothetical illustrations, and planning capabilities. The end result is powerful, FINRA-reviewed reports that allow you to present your recommendations and showcase your value to clients and prospects. Morningstar Office SM is a complete practice and portfolio management system for independent financial advisors. This single, all-inclusive platform is designed to support the core aspects of an advisor's practice. It includes robust portfolio management and performance reporting, advanced research capabilities, investment planning, and intuitive customer relationship management features such as a secure client web portal and document vault. Morningstar Office users also have the option to outsource their account management and reconciliation with Morningstar Back Office Services SM. We re happy to discuss the solutions that best fit your practice. Please call or advisorsolutions@morningstar.com

3 Q: What is the cost for this integration? A: In order to use the full functionality of the integration between Morningstar and emoney, you will need to be a subscriber of both emoney and either Morningstar Advisor Workstation or Morningstar Office. There is no fee to use the integration; there is no fee to upgrade to the new version of emoney. Access to Morningstar research is included for all emx users. Q. I have Morningstar Advisor Workstation or Morningstar Office, what features will be available to me as part of the integration with emx? A. Depending on your business model, you will have the ability to view and generate Morningstar s security reports, such as the Morningstar Investment Detail and Morningstar Report, or Morningstar portfolio level reports directly from emoney s platform. Portfolio level reports include the Portfolio Snapshot report, the Portfolio X-Ray Report, and the Stock Intersection SM report, and are available from both the Client Overview page by clicking on an account or from within the Reports Center. Investment Detail reports are found by searching for a security on the Research and News page. Morningstar Advisor Workstation users will also have the ability to access their version of Advisor Workstation directly from emoney s application. Q. I am currently not a Morningstar subscriber. Are there any features available to me? A. Yes! emoney is offering access to the Morningstar Report (formerly known as the Quicktake ) to all users, regardless of whether you are a current Morningstar subscriber. The new Morningstar Research and News page can be accessed from the Applications menu in the User Navigation Bar. All users will have access to this page, and can perform security level searches to obtain Morningstar s industry-leading research reports.

4 Q. How do I access the Morningstar Advisor Workstation SM or Morningstar Office SM integration? A. From the emx Advisor Homepage, click Applications and select Setup from the menu provided to access the emx Select Page. Here, you will be able to conduct the initial sign-in for all the integration platforms available to you. After this initial sign-in, you can navigate to your integration at any point by clicking Applications and selecting Morningstar Advisor Workstation or Morningstar Office. Q. Do all members of my team have access to the integration features? A. Only users with an Advisor license will have access to the Morningstar integration. Access is not currently available for the Planner s or Assistant s licenses, however all users will be able to access the new Morningstar Research and News page. Q. Do my client s have access to Morningstar research on their client site? A. Capstone users will have access to the Morningstar Report via the Research button in the Investments area of the site. Q: Do all Advisor Workstation users who subscribe to emoney get access to the integration? A: Certain firms will not have access to the integration right away. Please contact Morningstar at to learn whether you have access. Q: What is the cost to subscribe to Morningstar through emoney? A: There are no pricing incentives to purchase Morningstar through emoney. We are independent offerings that are working together to increase efficiency. Please call or advisorsoftware@morningstar.com for pricing.

5 Q: Are any elements of emoney being added to Morningstar Office or Advisor Workstation, or are the changes only inside of emoney? A: The initial phase of the emoney and Morningstar integration is bringing elements from Morningstar into emoney. It is possible we will enhance the integration at a later time to include emoney elements in Morningstar products. Q: Does emoney get data directly from Morningstar? A: At the initial phase of the integration, Morningstar will not be sending client account details to emoney. This will be considered during phase 2 of the integration for Morningstar Office users. Q: Can you edit the portfolios in Morningstar? A: The portfolios within the integration are sent from emoney and cannot be edited in Morningstar. Q. I ve worked with Morningstar to design a custom cover page for my reports, will that be available from within emoney? A. Yes, emoney s Morningstar integration will retrieve a user s custom cover sheet for inclusion in report presentations. Q. Can Morningstar reports be included in Presentations created within emoney? A. No, Morningstar reports cannot be included in presentations created in emoney.

6 Q: Does every user have to have their own Morningstar credentials to view the information in emoney? A: This depends on the Morningstar product and firm setup. Please contact your Morningstar representative or call Q: How do we know if our Morningstar subscription qualifies for this integration? A: Please call or Q. Who should I contact if I am interested in purchasing a Morningstar product? A. emoney users who do not have a Morningstar Subscription and are interested in getting one should contact Morningstar Inside Sales at to purchase Morningstar Advisor Workstation or Morningstar Office. Q. Who do I call for support if I have a question or issue? A. emoney has a dedicated Client Engagement Team staffed with experts and certified professionals whose goal is to ensure that you get the most out of your emoney experience. They have a range of support options to meet your needs and can be contacted anytime at or customerservice@emoneyadvisor.com to answer questions about accessing and/or generating Morningstar data from within emx. Current Morningstar clients can contact the Morningstar support team with questions specific to Morningstar Reports or functionality at the following numbers: for Morningstar Office and for Advisor Workstation.
