General Information DATES: Luggage Check Wednesday March 1, 2017 Depart Thursday March 2, 2017 Return Monday March 7, 2017 APPROXIMATE COST: $1450, (Final amount may change based on airfare costs) which covers: Plane tickets Hotel room (4 people to a room) T-Shirt & bag Souvenir 8 x 10 color group photo 1 meal coupon per day $5.00 per day 4 Day Disney World Passport Premium Park Hopper with 4 fun visits Bus transportation to and from airports HOTEL: Disney s All Star Sports Resort - The hotel is on Disney property. Students use Disney buses (no charge) to travel from park to park. Hotel security is on duty from 11pm 5am. WALT DISNEY WORLD: Disney World includes Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney. Students may go to more than one park each day. Additionally there is one day admission to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon water parks. CHAPERONES: A nurse, an administrator, a security officer, plus teachers will chaperone the trip. There will be 2 chaperones on each floor (approximately 32 students on a floor). FIRST AID: At least two chaperones will remain at the hotel at all times. Our hotel phone numbers and all health information will be given to the first aid station at Disney. Chaperones at the hotel will check with the first aid station each hour. All medications will be administered by the nurse. PAYMENTS: CHECKS ONLY! Please return your completed Disney forms packet with the first deposit. These must be turned in together. Payment Schedule:

3 First deposit ($400) will be collected during lunch on June 6, 7, 8, 9 along with Disney forms packet. Second deposit ($500) Due by October 21, 2016 Third & final payment ($550) Due by November 15, 2016 It is important that due dates are met!!! Checks must be made payable to WWPHSN Class of 2017 The student s full name (printed) and Disney 2017 must be written on the memo of the check Checks and forms should be delivered to Mr. Buggé or Mrs. Stanley during lunch on June 6, 7, 8, 9, 2016 only. 4 2017 Senior Class Trio Parent/Student Contract 1. All payments are due on the posted date according to the schedule below. Checks or Money Orders only: no cash will be accepted! Checks must be made payable to WWPHSN Class of The student s first and last name (please print) and Disney 2017 MUST be written in the memo portion of the check. 2. We cannot guarantee any refunds. This includes students, who through their own actions (cuts, attendance, suspensions, etc.) are denied the privilege of accompanying the class to Florida. 3. Any student found under the influence of or in possession of an alcoholic beverage or illicit substance will be sent home at their parents expense and will be subject to any disciplinary action outlined in the student handbook. 4. According to Board of Education policy, there will be no smoking permitted on the trip. 5. Even if your child is or will be 18 years old at the time of the trip, a parent/guardian signature is still required. My child has my permission to attend the 2017 Senior Class Trip to Florida. 5 MEMO TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS ADDENDUM TO CONTRACT The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District Board of Education will be deciding the Senior Class Trip, March 2017 at the next board meeting on June 14, On the outside chance that the Board does not approve the trip all deposits will be refunded. We believe this trip will be an exciting opportunity for students. World events have led to heightened concerns about the safety and security of travel. Hence, the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District Board of Education has approved this upcoming trip for your child with the caveat that the Board of Education reserves the right to cancel the trip if it determines that cancellation is in the best interests and safety of students and staff. In light of the possibility of a cancellation, the Board of Education has deemed it necessary to condition its approval on a requirement that parents/guardians sign a permission form that states that no claims will be made against the Board of Education, its past, present, and future members or employees, related to a cancellation of the trip. This requirement should not be viewed by anyone as representing an intention of the Board of Education to cancel an approved trip, but rather as a reasonable action to protect public funds should a trip need to be cancelled due to safety concerns for students and staff. We are unable to guarantee any refunds after December 1, 2016 You are requested to return this initial contract & first payment by June 6,7, 8, 9, 2016 ADD TO CONDITIONS ON PERMISSION SLIP I hereby recognize and acknowledge that the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District Board of Education retains sole discretion to determine whether to cancel the Senior Class Trip, March In the event the Board of Education determines that it is in the best interests and safety of students and staff to cancel the Senior Class Trip, March 2017, I/we shall hold the Board of Education, its past, present, and future members or employees, harmless for (1) any costs or expenses related to or arising from a cancellation of the trip, including but not limited to any prepayments for airfare, lodging, or other expenses associated with my child s participation

6 on the trip that are not refunded and (2) any claims made by any other party related to any financial obligation associated with the trip.
