A STATEMENT ABOUT OUR PAYMENT POLICY Home of Peace requires that all financial arrangements must be completed and paid in full prior to services. Prior to drafting any contract for goods or services, the responsible party or the decedent s survivor who is handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any pre-need agreement in the possession of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on behalf of the decedent. 2 For Families Desiring ITEMIZED SELECTIONS The goods and services shown below are those that we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BASIC SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR, STAFF AND OVERHEAD $1,800 This is the basic charge to each family, which we service for our basic services which include: consultation, everyday availability with the family or responsible part, clerical service, coordinating service plans with the cemetery, crematory and/or other involved parties, obtaining required authorizations and permits (locally), and a proportionate share of our overhead costs such as licenses, insurance, maintenance of facilities and equipment, utilities and other related business expenses necessary to serve the public in a professional manner. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, forwarding or receiving remains and our packaged service plans.) (Excludes shipping charges and shipping container) Receiving remains from another funeral home $1,895 This charge includes transfer of remains from common carrier within 50 mile radius of our facility, basic services of funeral director, staff and overhead, procurement of local disposition permit, sheltering or remains up to three (3) days and delivery to local cemetery. Immediate burial This charge includes transfer of remains to funeral home within 50 mile radius of our facility, discounted basic services of funeral director and staff, refrigeration (3 days), use of equipment and staff for supervision of immediate burial, and transportation to the cemetery within 50 mile radius of our facility. 4 CREMATION Direct Cremation This charge includes transfer of remains to our funeral home within 50 mile radius of our facility, discounted basic services of funeral director, staff and overhead, refrigeration, transfer to the crematory, local permit & filing fees. If you want to arrange a Direct Cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without outside covering). The containers we provide are hardwood, fiberboard and cardboard.
