1 PETRONAS DAGANGAN BERHAD PROMOSI KOMBO RM5 UNTUK CUTI IDAMAN TERMS AND CONDITIONS Contest 1.0 Organizer: PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad ( PDB ) is the organizer of this PETRONAS PROMOSI KOMBO RM5 UNTUK CUTI IDAMAN ( Contest ). 2.0 Eligibility: 2.1 This Contest is open to all PETRONAS Station customers, with Malaysian citizenship, aged eighteen (18) and above ( Participants ) subject to the following Terms and Conditions. 2.2 This Contest is open to all Participants, except for the following category of person who are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in the Contest: (a) (b) (c) Permanent/Contract employee of PETRONAS and their immediate family members specially defined as father, mother, spouses and children PETRONAS Station dealers and Krew PETRONAS and their immediate family members specially defined as father, mother, spouses and children Employees of advertising and promotional agencies for PDB 2.3 In the event a Participant is found to be ineligible at any point of time during or after the Contest Period, PDB reserves the right to disqualify the said Participant and to cancel/withdraw/recall any Prize won by the Participant, failing which, the Participant agrees and undertakes to indemnify PDB for the costs of such prizes. PDB shall have the right to initiate any action it deems necessary against the said Participant. 3.0 Contest Period: Unless otherwise notified by PDB, the Contest Period will run from 1 July to 31 August 2015 ( Contest Period ), both dates inclusive. 4.0 The Contest Mechanics: 4.1 To be eligible for the Contest, Participants have to make: a) Minimum purchase of RM5 of any promotional items ( Combo ) in single or multiple units at any Kedai Mesra of PETRONAS stations in a single 1

2 transaction via cash or credit card or SmartPay or PETRONAS Gift Card or using Mesra card points within Contest Period. b) Participants are required to present and swipe Mesra card during the payment transaction in order to enter the Contest. (No contest form required, participation via electronic only) c) For every minimum purchase of RM5 in single transaction will entitled Participant for one (1) entry Ilustration 1 : Participant make minimum purchase (Combo Items) of RM 10 or more using Mesra Card in single transaction i. Participant will get one (1) entry for every RM5 spent. Example RM10 = 2 entry, RM15 = 3 entry Ilustration 2 : Participant make minimum purchase (Combo Items) of RM5 (500 points) or more using Mesra Card points (redemption) in single transaction i. Participant will get one (1) entry for every redemption of 500 Mesra points (RM5). Example: RM10 (1,000 points) = 2 entry, RM15 (1,500 points)= 3 entry Ilustration 3 : Participant make minimum purchase (Combo Items) of RM5 using Mesra Card in multiple transaction i.e RM2 spent in one transaction and RM3 in another transaction i. Participant will get zero entry ii. Minimum purchase of RM5 must be in single transaction 4.5 By the end of the contest period, 824 winners will be selected by PDB via computerized selection system witnessed by the appointed external auditor. PDB s decision on all matters relating to this Contest (including the selection of winners) shall be final and binding. No enquiries on winners selection will be entertained. 4.6 The lucky winners will be contacted and one question will be asked to qualify them to win their dream holiday package. 4.7 Prizes offered are as listed in Item 5.0 below. 5.0 The Contest Prizes: The Prizes are as follows: a. Grand prize X 12 Winners 2

3 - Travel voucher worth RM15,000 - RM5,000 cash b. Monthly Main Prizes X 6 Winners/month (July & August) - Travel voucher worth RM3,000 - RM2,000 cash c. Consolation Prize X 800 Winners - PETRONAS Gift Card worth RM Miscellaneous: 6.1 The name of all prize winners will be notified via prize giving ceremony and through PDB s website at Upon notification of winners, the winners will be advised to collect their Prizes at the events organised by PDB or through other means as notified by PDB. The winners are required to fill in a declaration form. 6.3 PDB will contact the potential winner(s) via phone (the telephone number as per registered in Mesra card application via form or online). 6.4 In the event that PDB opts to contact the potential winner by phone and is unable to get through the potential winner(s) due to any reason whatsoever such as the call being out of coverage, unanswered or out of service, PDB will then make another two (2) attempts to contact the potential winner(s) within four (4) hours. Where such attempts are unsuccessful, PDB hereby reserves the right to select the next potential winner where the same process of selecting the winner will be repeated until a winner is identified. 6.5 All winners shall be bound by further terms and conditions as determined by PDB at its sole discretion. 6.6 All Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months from the date of publication of the winners names mentioned in Item 6.1 above. All Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or any other items or packages. Winners are not allowed to claim for the Prizes after the period stated in this clause. 6.7 PDB reserves the right at anytime at its absolute discretion without prior notice, to substitute any of the Prizes with other items of similar or higher value. 6.8 PDB reserves the right to choose the specifications of the Prizes and PDB s decision on this matter is final. 6.9 By entering or participating in the Contest, Participants hereby fully and unconditionally agree and accept all Terms and Conditions herein contained and agrees that the decisions of PDB regarding the Contest and all matters 3

4 relating to or in connection thereto are final and binding and no such queries, appeals or correspondences will be entertained Non-compliance by the Participants and/or winners with any of the Terms and Conditions herein contained shall entitle PDB to disqualify any entry and/or revoke any Prizes awarded PDB reserves the right to cancel, shorten, extend, suspend or terminate the Contest at any time prior to the expiry of the Contest Period without prior notice. For avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, extension, suspension or termination of the Contest Period at any time prior to the expiry of the Contest Period shall not entitle the Participants to claim any compensation from PDB for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Participants as a result of the said cancellation, extension, suspension or termination. PDB also reserves the right to amend, modify, delete or change any of the Terms and Conditions herein contained at any time at its absolute discretion without prior notice. Continued participation in the Contest following any such changes and/or amendments shall constitute your unconditional acknowledgment, understanding, agreement and acceptance of such changes in respect of the Terms and Conditions 6.12 PDB reserves the right to use the names, addresses, photographs, information and documents of the Participants and/or winners as materials in advertisements and other form of publicity for the current and future marketing purposes from time to time without prior notice to the Participants and/or winners and the Participant and winner shall not claim ownership of the material. Participation of the Participants in the Contest constitutes their consent to such use, without further notice, payment or consideration PDB shall not be held responsible or liable for any claims of loss or damage to property or personal injury or loss of life by the Participants, winners and/or any party resulting from or arising out of or in connection with this Contest or the Prizes given under this Contest These Terms and Conditions prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any brochure or other promotional materials advertised under this Contest In the event of any inconsistency between the English Language and the Bahasa Malaysia versions, the Terms and Conditions in the English version shall prevail PDB is the final authority to decide on the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions and as to any other matters relating to this Contest For any enquiries, please call MESRALINK at

5 7.0 Personal Data 7.1 By participating in the Contest, Participants are deemed to have agreed and consented to the collection, processing, use, disclosure and retention by PDB of your personal data in the manner as set out in the Personal Data Notice given pursuant to Section 7 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, which can be viewed at 5
