4 Introduction The Insurance Solutions web-portal supports two exclusive file formats, fixed length and comma delimited. Customers have the option to use one or the other format to load the input data to process the inquiries in batch mode. This document provides details for the comma delimited file format. File Type - Comma Delimited Mapping Comma Delimited MVR batch input file data is categorized into two sections: MVR Batch Case information MVR Order Data information MVR ORDER DATA INFORMATION Last Name, First Name, Middle Name, Suffix, DLN State, DLN Number, Date of Birth, Sex Code, SSN, Force DMV Order, MVR Type, Amplified MVR, and Soundexing. Data Type Description This section explains the different codes to describe the data types. A N A/N Data Type Description Alpha characters including underscore and punctuation marks. 5 MVR Comma Delimited File - Field Length Validations MVR Batch Case Information Seq Length Field Data Type Description/ Business Rules 1 20 Case Id A/N Case ID is an internal (your) reference field that identifies each record. This caseid will be printed on the report as well as on your detail bill. If left blank in the input file then the system will generate a unique identifier. You also have the option to enter a global caseid when loading the file. 2 6 Account number N Account # (right justified, zero filled) 3 3 Account Suffix A Account Number Suffix (space fill) is provided to you by LexisNexis. This account number/suffix has your organization s account setup at LexisNexis. Account number is required; but if left blank, the system will populate it with your default account number Quoteback A/N Quoteback is record specific reference information. 5 5 Special Billing Id A/N Special Billing ID is used to identify the whole batch or individual records for specific billing needs. * = State dependent fields MVR Order Data Information Seq Length Field Data Type Description/ Business Rules 6 20 Last Name A Last Name of the MVR subject. License number format should match the format(s) supported by the state DMV 12 8 Date of Birth mmddyyyy N The DOB of the MVR subject. Each State DMV has their own specifications for searching the records. Please refer to the state requirements for details Gender (M/F) A The Gender of the MVR subject 14 9 SSN N SSN of the MVR subject Force DMV Order (Y=Yes, N=NO) A Force DMV Option. A Yes will forced the order to go to the state DMV Activity File Bit* A/N The Activity File Bit is primarily used to override the account setup for the number of months considered in the activity file search. Use of the activity file varies by the state. The following codes are used to specify the activity file search period, but not all are available in each state. For California, this bit is required because there is no account option setup for California. A - bypass Activity File Search B or 9-1 month search C or 1-6 month search D or 2-12 month search E or 3-36 month search F or 4-60 month search 17 1 Amplified MVR* A/N Amplified MVR bit for the states of Florida and Georgia. If a 7 year record is needed (amplified MVR), use a 1 or Y. For 3 year record, use 0 or N 18 1 Soundexing * A/N Soundexing is used to identify the Soundexing bit for the states of Illinois, Maryland, New Hampshire and Florida (Batch only).
