6 5 Objectives Provide the technology and know-how for the protection of buildings and people against terrorist threats and to minimize the consequences of a terrorist attack in terms of number of casualties/injuries, damage and loss of functionality and services Philosophy Try to marry security and safety as much as possible

22 21 Summary With the results of the SPIRIT project we will contribute to people safety and increase the resilience of built infrastructure against a terrorist threat by providing an integrated approach to counter CBREthreats, including proposed guidelines for a EU Regulatory Framework Similar to other construction With this approach, government, end users of buildings and designers can define and achieve a desired level of protection
