Your right to cacel the Isurace If this cover is ot suitable for you ad you wat to cacel your isurace, you must cotact AIG Customer Service by ig travel.ie@aig.com withi 14 days of buyig your isurace or the date you receive your isurace documets. We will refud the premium you have paid withi 5 workig days of the date you cotact us to ask to cacel the isurace provided you have ot travelled, made a claim or a evet which could give rise to a claim has ot occurred before you asked to cacel the isurace withi the 14-day period. Our right to cacel the Isurace We have the right to cacel this isurace by givig at least 30 days otice i writig to you at your last kow address. A pro rata refud of the premium paid will be made to you from the date we cacel the isurace. 5 If there is a chage i the state of health of yourself, ayoe travellig with you, a relative or busiess associate occurrig after you have bought this isurace but before you travel, ad upo whom your trip depeds, you must cotact AIG Customer Service immediately o or travel.ie@aig.com. Health agreemets If you are travellig to a coutry i the Europea Uio, you should take a Europea Health Isurace Card (EHIC) with you. Applicatio forms to obtai a EHIC are available from your local Health Office or you ca dowload a applicatio form from the followig website: This etitles Europea citizes to beefit from the health agreemets which exist betwee coutries i the Europea Uio/EEA. If you are travellig to Australia or New Zealad ad you eed medical treatmet, you should erol with Medicare or the equivalet scheme of these coutries. Further iformatio is available from the followig website: If you preset your EHIC to the treatig doctor or hospital if you eed medical treatmet withi the Europea Uio or you erol with Medicare whe travellig to Australia or New Zealad, this will save you payig the excess uder sectio B1 (Medical ad other expeses outside of the Republic of Irelad) if your medical costs are reduced as a result of usig your EHIC or Medicare beig ivolved. Residece Limitatio This policy offers coverage oly to idividuals ordiarily residet i the Republic of Irelad ad is ull ad void as to o-residets of the Republic of Irelad. Travel delays - EC Regulatios This policy is ot desiged to cover costs which are met uder the EC Regulatio No. 261/2004. Uder this Regulatio if you have a cofirmed reservatio o a flight, ad that flight is delayed by betwee 2 ad 4 hours (legth of time depeds o the legth of your flight) the airlie must offer you meals, refreshmets ad hotel accommodatio. If the delay is more tha 5 hours, the airlie must offer to refud your ticket. The Regulatios should apply to all flights, whether budget, chartered or scheduled, origiatig i the EU, or flyig ito the EU usig a EU carrier. If your flight is delayed or cacelled due to a atural catastrophe, you must i the first istace approach your airlie ad clarify with them what costs they will pay uder the Regulatio. Automatic repurchase If you are a Aual Multi-Trip policyholder, we will automatically repurchase your policy each year uless the lead isured has advised us that they do ot wat your policy to be automatically repurchased or you o loger meet the eligibility criteria to be a AIG travel isurace policyholder. We will write to the lead isured prior to the ed date of your policy to remid them that your policy is due to be repurchased. Uless the lead isured has previously advised us that they do ot wat your policy to be repurchased or prior to the ed date of your policy the lead isured has advised us that they o loger wish to repurchase your policy or you are o loger eligible for cover, the repurchase premium will agai be collected from the lead isured s specified credit or debit card to make sure that you are always covered. You should also be aware that we ca oly automatically repurchase your policy whe: you have made us aware of ay chages to your policy details, if ay; the credit or debit card details we have o record have ot chaged; ad the credit or debit card holder has give his or her coset for his or her card beig charged the followig year. If we are uable to auto-repurchase your policy (for example, if the lead isured s repurchase premium has chaged or there have bee chages made to the terms ad coditios of the policy) or if you o loger meet the eligibility criteria for auto-repurchase, we will otify the lead isured of this at least 21 days prior to the ed date of your policy. We are etitled to assume at repurchase that your details have ot chaged ad the lead isured has the coset of the credit or debit card holder, uless you iform us otherwise. We will through our admiistrative bak charge the paymet details to the credit or debit card held o record for the repurchase premium due. If you have arraged Premier or Premier Plus Isurace, by payig a additioal premium you ca buy cover for witer sports for the duratio of your trip. Aual Multi-Trip This gives you cover to travel as may times as you like withi the period of isurace provided o sigle trip lasts loger tha 31 days uder Budget Isurace, 45 days uder Premier Isurace or 60 days uder Premier Plus Isurace. Cover is provided for up to 17 days i total for witer sports withi the period of isurace. Adults are etitled to travel idepedetly. Childre uder 18 years of age are oly etitled to travel separately to the mai isured perso if they are travellig with a relative, guardia or perso with a legal duty of care. Cover is oly provided i the Republic of Irelad if you stay i pre-booked accommodatio for at least oe ight away from where you usually live. Exteded Stay Oe trip of up to 12 moths. Please ote: Uless you have bought a Aual Multi- Trip Isurace, it does ot matter how log you buy cover for, it eds whe you retur to the Republic of Irelad. Period of cover Cover uder sectio A (Cacellig your trip) starts at the time you book the trip or pay the isurace premium, whichever is the later. If you have arraged a Aual Multi-Trip policy, cover uder sectio A (Cacellig your trip) starts at the time that you book the trip or the first day of the period of cover as show o your policy schedule, whichever is the later. For Sigle Trip ad Aual Multi-Trip policies cover uder sectio A (Cacellig your trip) eds as soo as you start your trip. For Exteded Stay policies cover uder sectio A (Cacellig your trip) cotiues throughout the period of cover as show o your policy schedule, for additioal travel booked oce you are outside of the Republic of Irelad. Cover uder all other sectios starts whe you leave your home address i the Republic of Irelad (but ot earlier tha 24 hours before the booked departure time) or from the first day of the period of cover as show o your policy schedule, whichever is the later. Cover eds whe you retur to your home address i the Republic of Irelad (but ot later tha 24 hours after your retur to the Republic of Irelad) or at the ed of the period of cover as show o your policy schedule, whichever is the earlier. Extesios ca usually oly be cosidered if there has bee o chage i your health (or that of a relative or busiess associate), you are ot waitig for a claim to be settled ad you do ot kow of a reaso for a claim to arise. However, should there have bee a chage i health or a claim arose uder the origial isurace the we may still be able to cosider the extesio provided full details are passed to AIG Customer Service for cosideratio. If, due to uexpected circumstaces beyod your cotrol which fall withi the coditios of this cover, your holiday caot be completed withi the period of isurace outlied i your policy schedule, cover will be exteded for you at o extra cost for up to 30 days. This also applies to oe perso travellig with you who is authorised to stay with you by the Medical Emergecy Assistace Compay if the extesio is due to medical reasos. They provide a 24-hour emergecy service 365 days a year. You must reimburse us ad/or assist us fully i recoverig ay moey that we have paid uder the isurace ad which you are also etitled to recover from ayoe else or from other isurers (icludig the Departmet of Social Welfare). 4. If you try to make a fraudulet claim or if ay fraudulet meas or devices are used whe tryig to make a claim, this isurace may become void ad the premium you have paid may be forfeited. Ay beefits already paid to you must be repaid ifull. 5. You must agree to have a medical examiatio if we ask. If you die, we are etitled to have a post-mortem examiatio. 6. If you become pregat after the date you arraged this isurace cover (or booked your trip, whichever is earlier, if you have arraged Aual-Multi Trip Isurace) ad you will be more tha 26 weeks pregat at the start of or durig your trip.
