Master Plan submitted and MoE currently preparing PDPs, on instructions from the President of RMI, for each school they wish to be addressed. Lease for Aur received but no other data supplied to PMU.
10 FY05 PROJECTS WITH CONSTRAINTS Uliga Elementary School ($3,738,750) Status: The reclamation study has commenced and the Consortium s lawyer is working on Ownership issues/leases/land Use Agreements. Lease/LUA not yet secured. The Uliga Reclamation Consortium has been established and Cabinet has signed an MoA approving establishment of the Consortium. FY06 PROJECTS WITH CONSTRAINTS Kwajaleine Atoll High School ($2,544,028) Status: No change, project on HOLD. A suitably sized site and a lease have not yet been secured. Delap Elementary School IDMP 0037 ($1,453,000) Status: This project, to construct a six-classroom block, will proceed as soon as a budget line has been confirmed. The project s consultant has prepared designs, specifications and tender drawings and they are being held by the PMU. Ebeye Wastewater Status: No change from last report: awaiting Wastewater Control Group establishment. TRAINING/PMU STAFF ISSUES Beca has proposed an extension to their contract to manage the PMU till October The extension would include supervision and management of remaining construction projects to completion and provision of full hands-on training to MoPW in the running of all Maintenance projects. Beca s current contract expires on the 31 st January SITE SUPERVISORS An additional supervisor, required for Namdrik Elementary School, has still not been sourced. COASTAL MANAGEMENT GROUP Nothing to report. SCHOOL FURNITURE RES II furniture due to arrive early Feb. MAINTENANCE PROJECTS: REMAINING BUDGET The PMU s figures show remaining balances of: Health -$53,272 Education $80,859 These balances have still not been confirmed by the Ministry of Finance.
11 A & E BUDGET Ministry of Finance has been asked to supply drawdown figures and remaining balance. CAPITAL WORKS PROJECTS: REMAINING BUDGET No Change: Budget reallocations have not yet taken place and several projects are in need of very urgent cash injections. Last September it was proposed that approximately $950,000 be reallocated from the A&E Budget Line to projects in need of immediate funding. MoF has yet to make the reallocation.
