3 October 10, 2018 The regular meeting of the Highway Committee was called to order Chairman Mulder at 4:30 PM on Wednesday October 10, The requirements of the Open Meeting Law was certified as being met. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Present: David Abendroth Absent: Vicki Bernhagen Dennis Mulder Robert Schweder Charlie Wielgosh Others Present: Tyrone Johnson, Commissioner; Becky Pence, Administrative Assistant; Cathy Schmit, County Administrator; Harley Reabe County Board Chair; Dawn Klockow, Corporation Counsel; Bob Shaffer, Fleet/Warehouse Superintendent Approval of Minutes Motion/second (Abendroth/Bernhagen) to approve the minutes of 09/12/18. All ayes. Motion Carried. Correspondence None Public Comment None DOT Request for Services Motion/second (Abendroth/Schweder) to approve Wis DOT Discretionary Maintenance Agreement as presented. All Ayes. Motion Carried. Financial Reports The Committee reviewed the Financial Reports Budget The Committee reviewed the 2019 Budget. Building and Grounds, Cold Storage Building Shop 2 Update The Committee members were updated on permit status regarding the post frame building. Purchase Requests, I-Phone, Commissioner Truck Motion/second (Bernhagen/Weilgosh) to approve purchase of I-Phone for Patrol Superintendent. All Ayes. Motion Carried. Discussion held on the Commissioner truck purchase. Motion/second (Schweder/Weilgosh) to rebid on an F250 Crew Cab with plow instead of an F150. A special P&I meeting to be schedule prior to County Board. All ayes. Motion carried. Salt Sheds Roof Updates Commissioner Johnson updated Committee members on salt shed repairs that are needed in order to stay in compliance. Motion/second (Abendroth/Schweder) to approve purchase of F250 Pickup Truck for $35,808. All Ayes. Motion Carried. V Plow quotes received from Fox Valley Truck, Kelley s Repair, Service Oil, and Darrell s Auto Repair. Motion/second (Schweder) to purchase V Plow from Darrell s Auto Repair. No second. Motion Failed. Discussion held. Motion/second (Abendroth/Wielgosh) to purchase (1) V Plow from Darrell s Auto Repair without upgraded springs for $$6, All Ayes. Motion Carried. Sale of 2017 Ford Escape Ford Escape is not suitable for attaching a plow and is not useable on construction site. This vehicle will be advertised on the Wisconsin Surplus Website. 35 GREEN LAKE COUNTY HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER Commissioners Report Highway Committee Meeting November 14, 2018 HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT ACTIVITES October: Office: Fax: Field Staff/Shop: Highway crews have been patching; treeing/brushing; mowing; drainage; shoulder maintenance, center-lining, CTH AW pavement marking, Crack Sealing on County roads; and storm/flood cleanup City of Princeton. Administrative/Supervisory: payroll; accounts payable & receivable; inventory; bridge inspections. Building & Grounds: Regular maintenance as required. 36 ROAD REVIEW/ PROJECT STATUS: Reconstruction: Project Limits: Project Status: CTH AW 3.5 Miles STH 73 STH 49 Paving completed. Center lining completed Project was completed in four counties CTH O 1.5 Miles Markesan C. Limits Lovers Ln.
