1 Examples of FTA Eligible Revenues by Category A. TRANSPORTATION REVENUES DESCRIPTION OF REVENUES Includes regular and discounted cash fares, pre-purchased tickets or tokens, and cash contributions or donations ( 1) 401 PASSENGER FARES FOR TRANSIT SERVICE from passengers. Includes contract revenues received for transporting clients of local agencies or organizations (ex: JFS, MRDD, ( 2) 402 SPECIAL TRANSIT FARES (Contract Revenues) Aging, etc.) Includes revenues received for operating vehicles under charter contracts within the project service area. ( 3) INCIDENTAL CHARTER SERVICE Incidental charter service cannot interrupt normal service. ( 4) ADVERTISING Includes revenues received for selling advertising space on the interior or exterior of operating vehicles. B. NON-TRANSPORTATION REVENUES DESCRIPTION OF REVENUES Includes revenues received for performing maintenance services on vehicles and equipment owned by other agencies, organizations, and individuals. Net profits may be used as local matching funds; however, net losses ( 7) SALE OF MAINTENANCE SERVICES are not eligible for Federal funding. ( 8) INVESTMENT INCOME ( 9) 409 LOCAL CASH GRANTS & REIMBURSE. (10) STATE SENIOR CITIZENS FARE ASSIS. (11) 413 FEDERAL CASH GRANTS & REIMBURSE. * Includes interest earned on deposited public transit funds. Interest revenue may be used as local matching funds toward the grantees current operating grant or may be placed on reserve in a capital replacement fund. Includes funds obtained for local government units that assist in defraying the costs of providing public transit services. Includes revenues received from the Ohio Elderly and Disabled Transit Fare Assistance Program (E&D funds). Includes funds received from the Federal government that help defray the costs of providing public transportation services. NOTE: These funds DOT NOT include revenues through the FTA. (12) 430 CONTRIBUTED SERVICES (13) 499 OTHER REVENUES Includes in-kind services received from another agency, organization, or individual in which the grantee is under no obligation to pay for the services. All in-kind revenue must be matched by offsetting costs in the appropriate expense accounts. All in-kind expenses and revenues must be documented. Includes revenues that cannot be placed in any other revenue category.

Maintenance and repair of heating and A/C (one time), pest and bug exterminators On-going technical assistance for maintenance software Temporary Help Kelly services, Account Temps, not permanent employees Contract Maintenance Services Maintenance and repair of copier, office equipment, or computer equipment maintenance and repair of radio equipment, maintenance and repair of heating and a/c if ongoing service agreement Repairs and oil changes done other than in house Custodial Services If pay to have facilities cleaned by janitorial services Other Services Safety services, monthly charge for security system, D&A tests, Hep B shots Physicals, BCI checks, ongoing maintenance and repair to facility
