( Lakers ) and the Ls Angeles Lakers Yuth Fundatin ( Fundatin ) are excited t annunce the 2018 Annual Mentring Rad Trip Cntest ( Cntest ) which ffers Ls Angeles Cunty mentring pairs frm selected mentring rganizatins the chance t earn the trip f a lifetime! The Cntest is pen t mentring pairs wh are currently registered with a mentring rganizatin that is registered with 501(c)(3) entity, that is lcated in Ls Angeles Cunty and in which the mentr is at least 18 years f age and in which the mentee is a student in grades 6 thrugh 12. The Cntest has tw cmpnents: 1. An essay f 350 wrds r less, written by the student/mentee abut their experience with mentring; and 2. A vide f tw minutes f less, created by the mentring pair which intrduces themselves and explains what is special abut their mentring relatinship. Up t fur (4) lucky mentring pairs and adult chapernes frm the Lakers will fly t Atlanta, GA n Friday, February 23, 2018 fr an exciting 4 day / 3 night adventure and will attend the February 26, 2018 Lakers rad game versus the Atlanta Hawks! T enter the Cntest, please review the Mentring Rad Trip Official Rules. Yur entry must include: 1. An essay f nt mre than 350 wrds, written by the student/mentee. 2. A vide f nt mre than tw (2) minutes in length, created by the mentring pair, explaining what is special abut their relatinship. 3. A cmpleted Student Infrmatin/Release and Authrizatin Frm signed by the mentee and his r her parent r legal guardian, and als signed by the mentr. All entries must cmply with all f the Official Rules listed belw and must be received by the Ls Angeles Lakers by 2:00 pm Pacific Time ( PT ) n Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 2275 E Maripsa Ave., El Segund, CA 90245, Attn: Mentring Rad Trip Cntest. In additin, the applicable mentring rganizatin frm which any entries are received must cmplete and return an affidavit and license agreement affirming that the mentee / mentr entrant pairs are affiliated with their rganizatin, that the rganizatin has cnducted all required backgrund and ther checks n the mentr and that the rganizatin authrizes the Lakers and the Fundatin t use the name and lg f the rganizatin in all media in cnnectin with any and all advertising, prmtin and marketing f the Cntest and the trip. Winners will be ntified n r befre January 19, 2018, at 7:00 pm PT and at that time, will be given specific traveling instructins and trip details.

5 OFFICIAL RULES Ls Angeles Lakers Mentring Rad Trip Cntest NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN ANY PRIZE. CONTEST VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. 1. Cntest: The Ls Angeles Lakers, Inc. ( Lakers ) and the Ls Angeles Lakers Yuth Fundatin ( Fundatin, r smetimes cllectively with Lakers referred t herein as Spnsrs ) are lking fr mentring pairs ( Mentring Pair ) registered with ne f the rganizatins listed belw in these Official Rules, cnsisting f a mentr wh is at least 18 years f age ( Mentr ) and a student mentee in grades 6 thrugh 12 ( Mentee, and smetimes with the Mentr, cllectively referred t herein as the Mentring Pair ), wh are registered with a Mentring Organizatin (as hereinafter defined) lcated within the Cunty f Ls Angeles. Mentring Organizatins are thse rganizatins that are registered with the State f Califrnia as a 501(c)(3) nn-prfit rganizatin. T enter the Cntest, Mentees must write an essay f nt mre than 350 wrds ( Essay ) and the Mentring Pair must create a vide f nt mre than tw (2) minutes ( Vide, and cllectively with the Essay, smetimes referred t herein as the Entry ), within the specified guidelines stated belw in these Official Rules. Odds f winning are dependent in part upn the number f Valid Entries (as hereinafter defined), but winners will be selected frm amng all Valid Entries based upn the quality f the Entry as determined by Spnsrs, in their sle and abslute discretin. 2. T Enter: The Cntest will be pen frm 12:00 PM Pacific Time ( PT ) n Mnday, January 8, 2018 thrugh 2:00 PM PT n January 18, 2018 ( Clsing Date ). T enter, yu must (a) cmplete, and have signed, a Cntestant Release and Authrizatin Frm ( CRA Frm ); (b) cmplete, and have signed by the Mentee s Parent/Guardian a Cnsent Agreement; (c) the Mentee must write and submit an Essay; (d) the Mentring Pair must prduce and submit a Vide. CRA Frms, Cnsent Agreements, Essay and YuTube links t a Vide can be submitted via t cmmunity@lakers.cm. Alternatively, CRA Frms, Cnsent Agreement, Essays and a DVD r USB memry stick/flash drive cntaining the Vide can be submitted by mail r hand delivery, t the Ls Angeles Lakers, 2275 E Maripsa Ave., El Segund, CA 90245, Attn: Mentring Rad Trip Cntest. In additin, in rder t be eligible t win, the Mentring Organizatin f the Mentr Pair must cmplete and return an Affidavit and License Agreement. Only entries that meet all the requirements specified in these Official Rules and are received by the Spnsrs n r befre the Clsing Date at the address listed belw in these Official Rules will be cnsidered a valid entry ( Valid Entry ). If mailing by U.S. Pstal Service, please allw at least 5 business days fr entries t arrive befre the Clsing Date. Entries pstmarked n the Clsing Date r delivered after the Clsing Date will be cnsidered late and will NOT be accepted r be cnsidered a Valid Entry. Only ne entry per Mentring Pair is allwed. 3. Eligibility: Only Valid Entries submitted by a Mentring Pair currently registered with a Mentring Organizatin and fr which bth the Mentr and Mentee currently reside in the Cunty f Ls Angeles will be cnsidered Valid Entries. Entries must be legible and include all elements f a Valid Entry in rder t be eligible. By entering, winners irrevcably agree t allw all r any prtin f their Entry t be used, displayed, reprduced and distributed by Spnsrs in any and all media, including, but nt limited t, shwn n the vide bards at Lakers hme games at STAPLES Center during the mnth f February, March and April f 2018 and n the Lakers website. Children f emplyees and immediate family members f Spnsrs, the Natinal Basketball Assciatin and its Member Teams, NBA Prperties, Inc., and each f their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, and their directrs, fficers, members, managers, wners, emplyees, agents, representatives, successrs and assigns ( Lakers Entities ), and thse residing in the husehlds f such individuals, are ineligible. 4. Selectin Prcess: Individuals selected by Spnsrs will review all Valid Entries and select a minimum f three (3) winning Entries and a maximum f fur (4) winning Entries. Selectin f winning Entries will be made by the individuals selected by Spnsrs in their sle and abslute discretin, and all decisins f such individuals and f Spnsrs are final and binding.

A fur day/ three night trip t Atlanta, GA, frm Friday, February 23, 2018 thrugh Tuesday, February 27, 2018 fr bth the Mentr and Mentee, including: Rundtrip cach airfare between Ls Angeles Internatinal Airprt and Atlanta, GA. Duble ccupancy (Mentee/students rming with ther Mentee/students and Mentrs rming with ther Mentrs) htel accmmdatins at a htel in Atlanta, GA selected by Spnsrs. Visits t pints f interest in Atlanta, GA selected by Spnsrs. Grund transprtatin frm the airprt in Atlanta, GA t the htel, during visits t ther pints f interest arranged by Spnsrs, t the Lakers game against the Atlanta Hawks n February 26, 2018, and frm the htel in Atlanta, GA back t the airprt in Atlanta, GA. Tickets t the Ls Angeles Lakers versus Atlanta Hawks basketball game at Verizn Center n February 26, The apprximate retail value f each Prize ( ARV ) is $3,000. Spnsrs reserve the right t substitute all r any prtin f any Prize with ther elements f apprximately the same value, as determined by Spnsrs, in their sle and abslute discretin, and n respnsibility is assumed by the Spnsrs r any f the Lakers Entities fr cancelled, delayed, suspended, rescheduled r substitutes Prize elements. Transprtatin f the winning Mentrs and Mentees t and frm LAX, and any ther expenses relating t the Prize nt expressly prvided herein, are the respnsibility f the winners. 6. Prize Ntificatin: Winners will be ntified by phne, at the number prvided by the Mentr and Mentee, n r befre Friday, January 19, 2018 a 7:00 PM, PT. Winning Mentrs and winning Mentees and their parent r legal guardian will have 48 hurs frm ntificatin f winning t ntify the Lakers that the winning Mentr Pair accepts the Prize and are willing and available t participate in all elements f the Prize and abide by these Official Rules. Within five (5) days f the date f the prize ntificatin and acceptance, the winning Mentr and the winning Mentee and the winning Mentee s parent r legal guardian shall be required t sign and return the Prize Affidavit, Release and License Agreement and any ther dcuments required t accept and claim the Prize, as determined by the Spnsrs. Each winning Mentee must have apprpriate identificatin t satisfy air travel security requirements. Failure t respnd within 48 hurs f prize ntificatin r failure t return the required dcuments within the time prvided will result in a frfeiture f the prize which may be awarded t anther Winner selected frm the remaining Valid Entries in a manner determined by Spnsrs in their sle and abslute discretin. 7. Prize Restrictins: The Prize is nn-transferable, and must be accepted as awarded, with n substitutins f any kind, whether in cash r therwise; prvided, hwever, that Spnsrs reserve the right t substitute all r any prtin f a Prize with a prize r element f apprximately the same value as determined by Spnsrs in their sle and abslute discretin. Bth members f the Mentring Pair must accept the Prize. If either a Mentr r Mentee f a Mentring Pair is unwilling r unable, fr any reasn, t accept and use the full Prize then the Prize ffer shall be rescinded and ffered t anther Mentring Pair selected by Spnsrs in their sle and abslute discretin, and n substitute Prize r cmpensatin shall be awarded t the riginal Mentring Pair r either f them. Each winner f a Mentring Pair is respnsible fr any and all federal, state and lcal taxes, including incme taxes, if any, impsed as a result f r in cnnectin with winning r awarding f a Prize r any prtin theref. When required, each member f a winning Mentring Pair will receive an IRS Frm 1099 frm Spnsrs fr ne-half f the ARV f the Prize. 8.
