The Twnship f Springwater s Official Plan was adpted n Octber 6th, 1997 and apprved n January 28, The Official Plan manages develpment and physical change in the Twnship fr a twenty year perid t The Twnship s Official Plan has undergne a number f amendments including the cmpletin and intrductin f Secndary Plans fr the Midhurst, Hillsdale, Centre Vespra, and Snw Valley Settlement Areas. Due t delays attributed t nging legislative revisins at the Prvincial level and the Cunty Official Plan cnfrmity/update, the Official Plan has nt undergne a majr revisin/update in nearly 20 years. Since it is anticipated that the majrity f the Cunty Official Plan will be apprved prir t year-end 2016, it is the apprpriate time t review/update the Twnship s Official Plan.

7 G R O W T H M A N G E M E N T S T R A T E G Y The Grwth Plan fr the Greater Glden Hrseshe s Simce Sub-Area plan frecasts grwth t Springwater f 24,000 persns t the year 2031 (an increase f rughly 5,700 persns frm 2011). Our apprach t grwth analysis and land budgeting includes: Accmmdating grwth in a sustainable manner that reflects lcal grwth and develpment pprtunities, histric grwth patterns, and unique cmmunity identities. Preparing allcatins which reasnably distribute grwth, bearing in mind municipal aspiratins and capabilities fr accmmdating grwth. Ratinalizing the density and intensificatin targets that reflect lcal grwth pprtunities and maintain cmmunity character.

8 C O M M U N I C A T I O N S S T R A T E G Y The Cmmunicatins Strategy will include a detailed plan fr stakehlder engagement, identifiable prject branding materials thrugh the use f a prject lg, cnsistent messaging and theming fr all prject deliverables, presentatin materials, and study advertising and ntices. We prpse 2 Visining Wrkshps and Open Huses: In Midhurst and in Elmvale; Open huse frmat with wrkshp cmpnent (break-ut grups); and survey/questinnaires Use f Twnship s scial media utlets t advertise meetings, receive input and generate interest. T assist us in understanding what residents value abut their cmmunity, we have used a simple cut-ut as shwn in the figure What I lve abut my cmmunity.
