Since 2006, the Orchestra has develped an internatinally acclaimed musical partnership with ur Chief Cnductr, Vasily Petrenk fr their cncerts, bradcasts and recrdings, and thrugh cllabratins with ther majr artists. 4 Jb Descriptin Title: Reprts t: Respnsible fr: Lcatin: Salary: Cntract: Facilities Manager Executive Directr, Audiences and Develpment Building and Maintenance Manager, Premises Officer, Friary and Receptinists (4) The nrmal place f wrk is Liverpl Philharmnic Hall r any reasnable lcatin dependent upn the requirements f the pst. Up t 30,000 depending n experience Full time, Permanent (35 hurs per week) Principal Rle: The Facilities Manager is respnsible fr management f the maintenance and upkeep prgramme f all Liverpl Philharmnic venues, including Liverpl Philharmnic Hall and Liverpl Philharmnic at the Friary. Key Respnsibilities Lead the investment and maintenance prgramme fr Liverpl Philharmnic Hall, The Friary and ther buildings and assets, ensuring that planned and preventative maintenance is cmpleted n time and within budget, and that service level agreements with maintenance and service cntractrs are implemented and adhered t. Ownership and management f Liverpl Philharmnic s Lng Term Majr Maintenance prgramme, including identificatin and prject management f majr wrks frm inceptin t cmpletin. Yu ll reprt t the Executive team n recmmended investment decisins and prvide annual statements f activity. Manage the maintenance and premises fficer staff, t prvide fr the nging, rutine, maintenance and upkeep f the building. Management f the receptinist team, t prvide an excellent and secure welcme t the building, whilst prviding administrative supprt generally. Management f the access-cntrl systems and building sign-in system. Ensure that Liverpl Philharmnic is presented t visitrs in accrdance with the brand and quality standards at all times. Yu and yur team are respnsible fr rms being set up t brand standards each day. Review and management f all utilities cntracts. Creating, managing and reprting n facilities, and maintenance budgets. Management f fire warden team, ensuring we have sufficient trained staff

5 Effective management and mnitring f cleaning cntractr and ther external cntractrs (BMS system, alarm systems, fire management systems, ut f hurs maintenance, keyhlder, car park management etc) thrugh service level agreements and perfrmance measures t secure value fr mney. Respnsible fr the Liverpl Philharmnic Business Cntinuity Plan, ensuring that any risks are highlighted t the Executive team. Respnding and managing ut f hurs emergency calls, as and when available, in rder t ensure the business is always supprted and maintained. Respnsible fr all security-related issues, including versight f an external SIA prvider, develpment f security-related SOPs, staff training, etc. Write and update standard SOPs related t the building and its use, including evacuatin plans, fire plans, fire drills, etc. Oversight f car park peratins, and primary liaisn with car park management cmpany. Develp and ensure the delivery f Liverpl Philharmnic s Operatinal Plans t achieve ur verall Visin, Strategy and Business Plan. Lead the develpment and delivery f specific crss- rganisatinal prgrammes f wrk within Liverpl Philharmnic s Strategic Plan. Uphld Liverpl Philharmnic s rganisatinal values. Gd all-rund understanding f facilities management and peratins. Prject management experience. Must have perated in high prfile sites, such as a htel r retail envirnment, with 5* standards where custmer service, attentin t detail and quality service are maintained. Plished, client fcused, rganised and able t wrk in a very busy envirnment while remaining in cntrl and prfessinal. Experience f managing cmmercial tenders and excellent cntract management skills. Prven ability t wrk effectively with a range f cntract prviders including establishing and mnitring Key Perfrmance Indicatrs and negtiating cmmercially advantageus utcmes. Member f prfessinal accredited bdy r qualificatin in facilities management wuld be desirable. Understanding f the challenges f wrking in the perfrming arts sectr, with a different prgramme f activity every day. 7 Cnditins f Emplyment Salary Up t 30,000 depending n experience. Prbatin and perfrmance appraisal The prbatin perid fr this pst is six mnths. The Executive Directr (Audiences and Develpment) will set bjectives fr the pst hlder annually and he r she will appraise perfrmance n an annual basis. Hurs f wrk The standard cntracted hurs fr this pst are 35 hurs per week. Nrmal ffice hurs are Mnday-Friday, 9.30am t 5.30pm. Yu may be required t wrk ver and abve these nrmal wrking hurs frm time t time depending n Liverpl Philharmnic s business requirements. Overtime is nt payable hwever time ff in lieu can be arranged with yur Line Manager. Hlidays The annual leave entitlement is 26 days, plus the 8 days in recgnitin f bank hlidays. These will be taken at times t be agreed with the Executive Directr (Audiences and Develpment). Pensin Liverpl Philharmnic perates a Grup Persnal Pensin Scheme whereby emplyees can elect t jin end enjy emplyer cntributins. In accrdance with the Pensin Act 2008, all qualifying emplyees are t be aut enrlled int the Grup Persnal Pensin scheme. Sickness Payments Liverpl Philharmnic has a sickness absence plicy and payments during sickness absence will be made in accrdance with the plicy. Details f the plicy are available n request. Other expenses Other expenses, necessarily incurred in the perfrmance f the duties f the jb, will be prvided, subject t authrisatin by the Executive Directr (Audiences and Develpment). Whle Time Service During yur emplyment with the Ryal Liverpl Philharmnic, yu must nt, withut written cnsent frm the Chief Executive, undertake any utside wrk, paid r unpaid. Wrk f a literary r artistic nature is excluded frm this cnditin, prvided it des nt create a ptential cnflict f interest. Perid f Ntice The ntice perid fr the terminatin f the cntract f emplyment will be three calendar mnths.
