1 Jb Descriptin Psitin: Accuntability: Functin: Chief Executive Bard f Directrs The Chief Executive is respnsible t the Bard f Directrs thrugh the Chair f the Bard. The Pst Hlder has delegated respnsibility frm the Bard fr the cnduct f the whle business. Cntext Statement The Chief Executive f the Credit Unin has statutry respnsibilities, the delivery f which are pliced by The Financial Cnduct Authrity (FCA) and The Prudential Regulatin Authrity (PRA). Failure t cmply with these respnsibilities will render the Pst Hlder liable t persnal prsecutin and expsure t significant fines and/r imprisnment. Main Areas f Respnsibility The Pst Hlder, as head f the paid staff f the Credit Unin, must act as Ambassadr in Chief fr the Unin. They must display qualities f leadership and visin as well as the drive and integrity needed t enact the strategic directin established by the Bard f Directrs. The Pst Hlder is the main cnduit whereby staff views will be cmmunicated t the Bard and Bard Directins fed back t the staff. T perfrm the Chief Executive (CF3) rle as detailed as cntrlled functin f the Apprved Persns regime. (The definitin f this functin is having respnsibility under the immediate authrity f the Bard f Directrs, fr the cnduct f the whle f the business.) T assume the Apprtinment and Oversight functin (CF8) under the cntrlled functins f the apprved persns regime. (The apprtinment and versight functin is the functin f acting in the capacity f a senir manager respnsible fr bth the apprtinment functin and the versight functin set ut in SYSC 2.1.3R. [Senir Management Arrangements, Systems and Cntrls]) T ensure that the Credit Unin and its administratin cmply with relevant laws under the Risk Assessment (CF14) cntrlled functin. (The Risk Assessment functin has the respnsibility fr reprting t the Bard in relatin t setting and cntrlling its risk expsure.) T develp the business f Plane Saver Credit Unin Limited, wrking t the plicies f, and prviding strategic advice t the Bard and its cmmittees.
2 T implement the Credit Unin s business plan thrugh sund management and prvide cmprehensive and financial advice t the Bard and its cmmittees. Specific Respnsibility and Remit T lead the develpment strategy fr the Unin, making recmmendatins t the Bard as apprpriate. T lead the develpment f the Executive and Management Infrmatin Systems sufficient t satisfy the infrmatin requirements f the Bard and management. T lead the crprate gvernance activities f the Bard including the maintenance and develpment f financial cntrls and the develpment f a Schedule f Delegatin. T establish targets and mnitr achievement f highest quality membership care. Optimise the ptential f the staff grup thrugh clear perfrmance management, staff develpment and supprt systems. Lead the staff grup in prviding a prfessinal and quality service t members and vlunteers. T ensure the Bard Plicies are recrded, prcedures dcumented, adhered t and fllwed at all times. T ensure apprpriate systems are in place t prvide effective infrmatin services t the Bard and cmmittees fr the purpse f strategic management. T lead the staff supprt fr the servicing f the Bard and its cmmittees. T be respnsible fr the cmpilatin and timeus return f all infrmatin demanded by the regulatry bdies. T ensure that all prper Insurance Plicies and Maintenance & Service Agreements are in place and maintained t prtect the members assets. T ensure that the peratin f the Credit Unin cmplies with all necessary legislatin, in particular; Mney Laundering, Data Prtectin, Health & Safety, Equality, Emplyment and Cnsumer Credit regulatins. T ensure that cmmunicatins with spnsring emplyers, members, nn-members and the media are ptimised and carried ut in a prfessinal manner t maintain and enhance the Credit Unin s crprate image. Develpment, Strategic and Financial Management T ensure that key marketing develpments and pprtunities are cmmunicated t cmmittees and acted n timeusly.
3 T cntribute t strategic, annual planning and budgeting prcesses, als managing the implementatin f these int the daily wrking practice f the staff grup. T be respnsible fr the grwth f the Credit Unin and fr advising the Bard and cmmittees f deviatins frm agreed targets. T prduce infrmatin fr the annual review f the strategic plan. T dcument and reprt financial prjectins, frecasts fr cash, revenue and asset utilisatin fr target setting. T ensure that all systems and prcedures are dcumented, adhered t and regularly checked fr accuracy, cmpliance and effectiveness. T wrk with the Supervisry Cmmittee and internal and external auditrs thus ensuring that the auditing f the Credit Unin is carried ut regularly, prmptly and efficiently. T mnitr financial perfrmance and make recmmendatins fr apprpriate actin. T represent the Credit Unin and undertake any ther duties as requested by the Bard f Directrs. Hurs f Wrk Hurs f wrk are hurs per week. Evening and weekend wrk will be required n a regular basis and attendance at lcal, natinal and internatinal cnferences is als expected.
