2 President s Letter Stuart Allen Dear ATO Members & Annual Meeting Sponsors, We are excited to start planning our 2018 ATO Annual Meeting! As always, we thank you for your continued support of ATO and look forward to seeing you at the beautiful Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona this coming fall. Not only will our meeting topics and networking opportunities be some of the best yet, but the golf should be amazing as well! This year, we will be holding our welcome reception at the infamous Mastro s Ocean Club walking distance from the hotel in the Kierland Commons shopping and resort area. The awards dinner the following evening will be hosted at the new state of the art Scottsdale OdySea Aquarium. We are in for a real treat both nights and some fun additions to our annual dinner! I am also thrilled to announce something new we will be adding this year to our organization. After much thoughtful consideration, our board of directors has established the Next Generation Leaders Network within ATO to help prepare future leaders within trust companies and departments. We feel this Rising Generation is crucial to the long term success of our industry and it is important that we as an association do all we can to help guide, mentor and prepare future leaders for success. Our call to action for you is simply this: please identify 1-3 people within your company that you would like to prepare for the future. Consider bringing them or sending them to our annual meeting (we have new additional company attendee levels this year that will help you send multiple attendees at a lower cost) and for them to participate in the Next Generation Leader Network. This group will have access to: 1) Lunch and Learn Webinars 2) Designated time specifically designed for them at the annual meeting 3) Semi-annual 2-day events that will promote leadership and networking 4) s regarding thought leadership and more. We will be sending you a survey soon to garner your thoughts on what your future leaders need from us as an organization to help them thrive.
