2 You re invited to the National Association of State Retirement Administrators 60 th Annual Conference in Asheville, North Carolina Pension plans seek balance between accommodating short-term pressures and meeting long-term benefit commitments. Shifting political and fiscal realities threaten to disrupt this balance, challenging the ability of plans to focus on the long view when managing assets and liabilities. The 60th Annual NASRA Conference will provide you with information and ideas that will help with the challenges we all face in today s environment. Asheville, North Carolina, is situated in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is one of America s most vibrant destinations. The breathtaking mountain scenery is the backdrop for a thriving arts community, diverse outdoor adventures, a fun and inviting downtown, and historic attractions. The Grove Park Inn is the site of this year s meeting. Opened in 1913 and fully renovated in 2013, the Inn is truly built for the ages, as Secretary of State, William Jennings Bryan, declared 100 years ago. Today it retains its vintage details including original solid oak Arts and Crafts style furnishings made by Stickley and Roycroft and outstanding granite masonry, while offering the comforts and amenities of a modern conference facility. Registration Fees System Members, Education Alliance Members, Staff and Trustees: $1,000 (early bird by June 20 $900) Associate Members: $2,200 (early bird by June 20 $1,900) Guest Fees: System and Education Alliance Adult Guest: $200 Premium Associate and Associate Adult Guest: $300 System and Education Alliance Child (18 or younger): $100 Associate Child (18 or younger): $150 Please note: A guest must be a family member or personal friend, not a business associate or staff colleague. Conference Policies Cancellation Cancellations must be submitted in writing to mary@nasra.org for reimbursement accordingly: July 7: full refund; July 8 to July 21: 50% of the registration fee (no refund for guest or activity fees); After July 22: no refund.
