3 Travel Incentive Program Question & Answers Incentive Information 1. What are the travel dates? Travel dates are April 8 11, What are the minimum requirements to earn a trip? Personally submit $15,000 in sales credit (points) within program dates. Personally sponsor two New Home Consultants with $2,000 in minimum personal sales each OR 10 new or renewed Collectors Club members New Home Consultant is defined as a person who hasn t been a Home Consultant between January 1 December 31, ,000 Trip Points 3. If I earn the trip but I am unable to travel, can I redeem trip points for products or gift certificates? No. This is a travel-only incentive and does not include other reward offerings or options. 4. If I earn only one trip and cannot travel alone due to medical reasons, do I have to buy-in someone to travel with me? Yes. Any earning traveler requiring a travel companion will be responsible for either earning additional guests trips, or you may buy-in additional guests. 5. What is a buy-in? A buy-in is the monetary expense you incur to buy-in guest(s). Buy-in costs are based on double occupancy. Buy-in costs include airfare. A maximum of three guest buy-ins are permitted for a total of four people in a room (you and three guests). Buy-ins are permitted based on availability. 6. How will buy-ins work? Once your first trip is earned, you may buy-in additional guests for $.085 per point. 30,000 trip points are needed for each trip. For example: You earned a total of 50,000 trip points. You want to take a guest. A total of 60,000 trip points are needed for two people. You are short 10,000 trip points. At $.085 cents per point, your buy-in would be $850 to bring that guest. 7. What is the maximum number of trips that I can earn or purchase? You can earn four trips and/or purchase a maximum of three trips (total of three guests) on the trip. For example, you may earn two trips and purchase two additional trips as buy-ins (still in your same room), based on availability. 8. If I want a guest to come and stay in my room, but he/she will not participate in the activities, do I still need to buy him/her in? Yes. Any earner bringing a guest and having that guest stay in your room is responsible for his/her guest buy-in. 9. What if my friends or family plan to attend and book their own separate airfare and accommodations? Longaberger Home Consultants and their guests visiting Cabo during the Longaberger Travel Incentive without Longaberger s knowledge and not booked through Longaberger Travel Headquarters are prohibited from participating in Longaberger-sponsored
4 activities, including but not limited to, transfers, receptions, etc. Non-earning Home Consultants and their related guests not explicitly invited by Longaberger to travel and participate in Longaberger travel-related programs are prohibited from participating in any and all Longaberger-travel related functions. 10. If I earn a trip and travel without a guest, will I have a room to myself? No. Rewards are based on double occupancy. To occupy the room alone, you would still be required to pay your guest buy-in rate, regardless of whether you actually bring a guest. 11. How will I be taxed on my redeemed travel awards? You will be taxed based on the dollar value of the trip(s) you have earned, regardless of whether you use all of the elements of the trip or not. This flat rate value will be reflected on your 1099 tax form for 2017, the year you actually travel. You are not taxed on the buy-in portion of your trip. 12. Can I transfer points to another Home Consultant, even if that home consultant is my spouse? No. The trip is based on individual performance and the points belong to the Home Consultant who earns them. 13. If I earn the Incentive trip and I am unable to travel, will I still receive the amenities given on the trip? You will not receive the amenities given on the trip, however, if you are unable to travel you will receive the exclusive trip award basket. 14. If I am short reaching the 30,000 points for the first trip, can I buy in to achieve the trip? No, you have to achieve all 3 minimum requirements, including the 30,000 points in order to travel. 15. If I end the earning period with ONE Home Consultant with $2,000 and 5 New Collector s Club Members, will I achieve that minimum requirement? No, you can either achieve that minimum requirement by recruiting OR by new or renewed Collectors Club members. It is not a combination of both. However, you still earn trip points in both categories. 16. How does the Collectors Club memberships work? Can I have more than one membership per customer? During the program, we will award points for unique customer numbers. 10 different customers with 10 different customer numbers are needed, weather new or renewed to be counted to meet the minimum requirement. For example: We will count unique customer numbers for the NEW memberships and RENEWED memberships. If I have a customer that purchased a NEW membership in January 2016 and then renews in December 2016, they will only count ONE time. 17. What if I had a Collectors Club member purchase a new membership in December 2015, does that count as 1 NEW? NO, it was before the earning period began. However, when they RENEW in 2016, they will count as one. If a member renews twice during the earning period, they will still count as one. 18. Where do I find my sales credit to see if I reach my minimum in sales? This will show on your Cabo Report, however, the number you are looking at would be located in your Central
5 Team Quick Report, under the points column. You would add your monthly points from January 2016 through December The Cabo report will calculate this for you. 19. How are my points for personal guest sales calculated? You will earn one point for each $1 increment of personal sales credit (points) received in the home office January 1, 2016 December 31, How do I earn points for my personal sponsored new Home Consultants? 2,500 trip points will be awarded when your new Home Consultant has sales of $2,000 or more provided your new Home Consultant s start date is within the program dates. 21. How many trip points do I get for my Collectors Club memberships? You will receive 2,500 trip points for every 10 new or renewed memberships. These are unique customer numbers. 22. Who receives the 2,500 points when a Leader or above promotion occurs January 1 December 31, 2016? Both the promoting Leader and the first up-line Leader each receive 2,500 points. Points are awarded once per level during the program. 23. May I take another consultant as my guest? Yes you may. Their buy-in rate still applies and is the same as non-consultant guests. Personal points for your buy-in guest, even if that guest is a spouse, cannot be applied to the buy-in. Home consultants that are traveling as a guest of an earning consultant will be recognized as a guest and will receive the guest amenity package. Travel Information 1. What if I can't travel due to weather conditions, medical reasons or a death in the family? This trip is non-transferable and cannot be applied to another trip unless otherwise approved by The Longaberger Company. This is a travel-only incentive and does not include other reward offerings or options. The Longaberger Company and its incentive travel partners are not responsible for inclement weather conditions. If weather conditions cause a travel delay, Longaberger reserves the right to and may or may not make necessary arrangements to enable you to join the incentive trip in progress. 2. If I am unable to travel during the specified dates of the trip, can I choose another time to travel? No, this trip is nontransferable and cannot be applied to another trip. 3. Can I extend my trip? If the Hilton Los Cabos has availability, Longaberger Travel Headquarters will be happy to assist you in making arrangements for nights before or after the arranged trip; however, all incremental expenses associated with changes in travel dates, flight times, accommodations, transfers, activities, etc. will be the responsibility of each traveler, based on availability, and payment will be required in advance. The negotiated Longaberger room rate is available for three days pre- and post-trip, based on availability. 4. Will additional airline fees be incurred should I choose to extend my trip or change arrangements after initial ticketing? It is very likely that you will incur additional charges. Longaberger has contracted for special group space on specific flights to and from the
6 destination. Flights to other destinations could result in additional costs to you, as well. If you make changes after you have approved your reservations, and any non-refundable deposits have been made or tickets issued, you will be responsible for additional costs incurred. 5. What if I want to fly a different airline or different flights than Longaberger offers? If you choose to fly with another airline or alternate flights, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred over the allotted amount. You may also be responsible for missed flights and fees associated with joining the trip in progress. Longaberger Travel Headquarters will book group reservations on specific airlines that offer the best fares / schedule available during our program dates. We are unable to transfer air fares between carriers. 6. Will my frequent flyer miles be credited to my account? Yes, if you are enrolled in a frequent flyer program with the airline you are flying on. You will need to confirm the airline has your frequent flyer number on record at the time of airport check-in. 7. Can I use frequent flyer miles to pay for my ticket (or my buy-in ticket) and receive credit for their monetary value? No. Airfare is included in the travel package for you and your guests. 8. What are the dates to register for the trip? Registration for trip will occur in early 2017, once the earning program is closed. 9. Can I use Longaberger Gift Certificates or Just for Business Credits toward my buy-in costs? No. Longaberger Gift Certificates or Just for Business Credits cannot be used for trip buy-ins and/or additional guest airfares. 10. What if my guest is under the age of 18? Do I get a reduced rate for children under a certain age? Guests under the age of 18 are welcome ; however, if their trip is not earned free, their buy-in would be the same of any other guest. 11. What should I pack? Stay tuned for any theme attire for one of our special evenings but in general, bright-colored, loose, airy clothing is the recommended daytime wear. A light sweater or jacket should be part of your travel gear as the evening may become a little cool or breezy. 12. Do I need a passport to travel to Cabo? YES you will need a valid passport for travel to Cabo. Your passport CANNOT be due to expire 6 months PRIOR to travel and the RETURN to the United States.
