2 Pittock Mansion Bonneville Dam Mount Hood DAY 1 MONDAY, JUNE 17 SEATTLE, WA (D) Relax on the flight to the West Coast. Upon arrival in the vibrant city of Seattle, our tour manager will meet us and guide us to our waiting motorcoach. Within minutes of leaving the airport, Seattle s stunning skyline will appear, with the famous Space Needle dominating the view. We ll take a mini-tour of the city on our way to the Crowne Plaza Hotel. After settling in, we will dine at one of Seattle s most popular seafood restaurants this evening. DAY 2 TUESDAY, JUNE 18 SEATTLE, WA (BD) After breakfast, we'll begin the day at the world-famous Space Needle for a spectacular panoramic view of Seattle, Elliott Bay and Mount Rainier. Then, we ll take some time to see more of the sights of the city as we drive through the upscale Queen Anne residential area and stop to watch the yachts and tugboats pass through the Ballard Locks. Of course, no trip to Seattle is complete without a stop at the eclectic Pike Place Market! The market began in 1907 as a way for farmers and consumers to sell and buy goods directly. Today, visitors will find dozens of farmers, a bustling crafts market and more than 200 unique owner-operated shops. Watch the fish mongers toss the fresh catch or do a little shopping while here. This afternoon, our tour continues with a Boeing Factory tour for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the 747, 767, 777 and 787 Dreamliners being assembled. Tonight, we will cruise to Tillicum Island for a traditional Native American feast and celebration. DAY 3 WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19 YAKIMA, WA ( BLD) A spectacular day lies ahead as we leave Seattle and journey south to the amazing Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, the 725-acre park that is home to over 200 North American animals. We ll tour the park aboard an enclosed tram that will allow us to enjoy the animals, lakes and meadows in comfort. Next, we will journey along the spectacular road that winds its way up the 14,000-foot Mt. Rainier. We'll stop for lunch before heading down the other side of the mountain and making our way eastward into the dry interior of Washington, known world-wide for its ranches, orchards and hundreds of vineyards. Our day comes to an end in Yakima, where dinner and our rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn await. DAY 4 THURSDAY, JUNE 20 PORTLAND, OR (BL) Following breakfast this morning, we ll continue to explore the beauty of Central Washington, passing through vast orchards and vineyards before making a stop in Toppenish to view the dozens of building murals that have made this town famous. Since the first mural was completed in 1989, seventy-eight historical murals have been painted, including one each year that is started and finished in a single day! As we continue on, we ll soon see the majestic Columbia River and stop at a local winery overlooking the Columbia Gorge. Our journey will then take us along the north shore of the river to the fantastic Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center, where we will learn about the history of the area before crossing to the south side of the river and arriving in Portland, Oregon. After checking into the Portland Marriott City Center hotel, the remainder of the evening is yours to explore the city and have dinner on your own. DAY 5 FRIDAY, JUNE 21 PORTLAND, OR (BD) The morning part of our journey will take us to the Astoria area and the meeting spot of the Columbia River and Pacific Ocean. It is here that we will visit the Fort Clatsop National Museum commemorating the Lewis and Clark expedition that stopped to wait out the winter. Then we re off to the rugged coast and the resort city of Cannon Beach to enjoy the beaches, shops and great seafood restaurants. After lunch on our own, we'll travel along the coastline to take in the spectacular views before heading back inland. A special treat awaits us this evening as we head to the Bavarian town of Mt. Angel for dinner at the Glockenspiel Tower Restaurant.

3 Ballard Locks Space Needle Johnston Ridge Observatory DAY 6 SATURDAY, JUNE 22 PORTLAND, OR (BD) Our day begins with breakfast before we depart on a morning tour of the City of Roses with a stop at the famous International Rose Test Garden. During World War I, rose lovers feared that hybrid roses in Europe would be destroyed by the bombings. The International Rose Test Garden was established in Portland as a safe haven for these plants. Today, there are more than 10,000 rose bushes of approximately 650 varieties, and new rose cultivars continue to be sent from around the world for evaluation. We will also stop at Pittock Mansion while touring. From the hilltop location of the mansion, we'll have a spectacular view of the Portland skyline with majestic Mt. Hood in the background. This afternoon will see us visiting Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, including the Johnston Ridge Observatory. The observatory is located within the blast site, making it the closest stop to the volcano s crater and the perfect spot to view the mountain that erupted on May 18, DAY 7 SUNDAY, JUNE 23 PORTLAND, OR (BD) Our journey this morning will take us east along the Columbia River to the beautiful Multnomah Falls, the second highest waterfall in the nation. We will then embark on a two-hour cruise through the Columbia River Gorge aboard an authentic triple-decked paddle wheeler! Upon our return, we'll visit the mammoth Bonneville Dam and sample some of the local wines produced in the region. A very special farewell dinner will cap off our tour and bring our Washington and Oregon adventure to a close. DAY 8 MONDAY, JUNE 24 HOME (B) Our impressive journey through the back roads and coastal highways of the Pacific Northwest comes to an end today as we transfer to the Portland International Airport for our flight home.
