Day 1: Sunday, March 24, 2019 Charleston, South Carolina - Tour Begins Experience warm Southern hospitality in America s southeast. Come to know its rich history and deep traditions on this tour highlighted by stays in Savannah and Charleston. Arrive today in Charleston. Day 2: Monday, March 25, 2019 Charleston This morning, you will embark on a carriage ride through the historic district of Charleston. This afternoon, head to Mrs. Whaley s Garden where you will meet with Mrs. Whaley s daughter and her head gardener.* Learn about the gardens and enjoy a cocktail reception. (B, D) Day 3: Tuesday, March 26, 2019 Charleston Get ready to visit Magnolia Plantation & Gardens! The most visited plantation in Charleston, it was founded in 1676 and has witnessed the history of our nation unfold. This evening is at your leisure to explore Charleston. (B) Day 4: Wednesday, March 27, 2019 Charleston - Bishopville - Charleston Travel to Bishopville this morning where you will visit the Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden. A garden in which many of the plants were rescued from the compost pile at local nurseries, Pearl Fryar and his garden are now internationally recognized. (B) Day 5: Thursday, March 28, 2019 Charleston - Savvanah, Georgia This morning leave Charleston behind. On the way out, stop at Angel Oak Park where you will have the opportunity for a photo of the Angel Oak Tree, a historical landmark. Traverse the picturesque coastline through South Carolina s Low Country on your way to historic Savannah, home to the largest National Historic Landmark District in the United States. Tonight, gather at a popular local restaurant on its famous River Street for a cooking demonstration and dinner showcasing regional culinary specialties. (B, D) Day 6: Friday, March 29, 2019 Savannah Take in the ambiance of the Old South with a trolley tour highlighting Savannah's sprawling Historic District. The lively, informative commentary brings the city to life as you travel along the cobblestone-paved streets and beneath moss-draped oaks. Her stately mansions, beautiful squares and romantic riverfront are sure to make you fall in love with this city. This afternoon, visit Bonaventure Cemetery known as one of the most beautiful graveyards in America. A tram brings you on a tour of the Jekyll Island Historic Landmark District one of the nation s largest restoration projects. The Rockefellers, Vanderbilts and J.P.
