3 Good news for 2017 We continue to have very low cost health benefits for employees and families. We made very few market adjustments to help keep the cost down. We extended relationships with Providence and Kaiser.

4 What s open enrollment? This is the period of time employees may change benefits enrollment options, sign up for voluntary programs, and learn about plan changes for the coming year. Includes medical, dental, and vision benefits Also includes voluntary benefits (not paid by SAIF) Flexible spending accounts (FSA), supplemental life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, group legal, Unum long-term care, and short-term disability insurance.

29 2017 benefits Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Set money aside on a pretax basis Up to $2550 for health care Up to $5000 for dependent care ASI Flex tax savings estimator Example: Providence $350 deductible would cost $ Debit cards (for health care only) Auto deposits ASI Flex FSA store eligible products purchased on line (FSA debit card or other major credit card) Mobile app

30 2017 benefits Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) FSA carryover provisions All medical expenses must be incurred by Dec. 31, 2016; up to $500 is automatically carried over to your 2017 health FSA. Carryover dollars will be credited to your account after March 31, 2017 (run out period). Carryover amount is in addition to the plan limit of $2,550 (for example, $2,550 for $500 for 2016 = $3,050). Run-out period to submit claims remains the same: March 31, Grace period still applies to the dependent care account. You must re-enroll each year.

Amount purchased is the enrolled amount; thereafter, changes subject to regular proof of good health and available only during open enrollment.
