The Public Works Department s mission is to ensure water and wastewater utilities, waste management, public transportation, and municipal road maintenance are delivered to the residents and visitors of our community. The FY14 Proposed Budget is an increase of $115,200 (1.7%) over the FY13 Proposed Budget. The significant budgetary changes include: FY13 Personnel Services decreased $67,900 (1.7%) due primarily to a decrease in the Public Works Administration Allocation for the division. Commodities and Services increased by $44,500 (1.7%) largely due to increased fuel prices and expected increases in the contractual services costs for Care-a-Van services. FY14 Commodities and Services increased by $62,600 (2.3%) due primarily to an anticipated increase in the contractual services costs for Care-a-Van services.
