Well, the same will be true for RBCU in As you can see throughout the newsletter, RBCU has a lot of projects in the pipeline designed to enhance our member s experience RBCU Construction Projects Include: Greg Worthen Jim McDonald (Chair) Jim Habeck (Vice-Chair) Cori Thompson (Secretary) Tom Rublein (Treasurer) Paul Cullen Lynne Scherer Jason Barnes David Kriesel-Koll Teresa Kruse Richard Schugel (Chair) Old Shakopee Road Branch scheduled to be demolished in late spring and be completely rebuilt and re-open for business by Thanksgiving Richfield Branch main floor remodeling beginning early spring, with work scheduled to be completed by mid-summer Lyndale Branch expansion to accommodate credit union growth and centralize operational areas Online Banking, Mobile Banking and Mobile Check Deposit all three are currently under construction and will launch together later this spring Website the website will undergo a refresh to match the new look and feel of the online and mobile. Sincerely, Greg Worthen President Veterans Take Center Stage At 61st Annual Meeting Joe Meuwissen Robert Pike RBCU is proud our 61st Annual Meeting will be a platform to recognize and honor all veterans who have served our country over the past 200 years. Former U.S. Marine and current Deputy Director of Fort Snelling National Cemetery, John Knapp will be the featured speaker for the evening. John will provide RBCU members a rare glimpse of the history of Fort Snelling National Cemetery. He will also share how meaningful it is to him to see the community rallying behind Flags for Fort Snelling to fully restore the tradition of placing U.S. Flags to honor the 200,000 veterans buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. RBCU will also conduct a silent auction that evening with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Flags for Fort Snelling. If you would like to donate a silent auction item for the evening please contact RBCU. All silent auction donors will be recognized in the next newsletter, on the RBCU website, on social media and in each branch.

3 CommunityInterest Flags for Fort Snelling Half Way to Making Memorial Day History in Minnesota! RBCU plans to make history this Memorial Day in Minnesota! With your help, Memorial Day, Monday, May 28th will mark the first time in the history of Fort Snelling National Cemetery that all 200,000 veterans laid to rest there will be simultaneously honored with the placement of an American Flag at their headstone. Stand in the middle of Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Memorial Day and you will see U.S. Flags as far as the eye can see. As we pass the halfway point of $50,000 raised, if every RBCU member donated $2 more we would reach the $100,000 goal in time to provide 200,000 American Flags for Flags for Fort Snelling for Memorial Day. It can be loose coin from the seat cushions on your sofa or a check made out to Flags for Fort Snelling. You can mail in a couple of dollars, send it in through the drive through window or drop it off in person. On behalf of all U.S. service veterans thank you for helping make history in Minnesota this Memorial Day! Scott Edwards, Commander of Buffalo American Legion Post #270 and other post officers recently presented a $5,000 donation to RBCU s Flags for Fort Snelling initiative. Accepting the donation were Greg Worthen, RBCU President; Rocky Borchardt, Flags for Fort Snelling; and John Knapp Deputy Director, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Their donation follows the $2,000 donation by Bloomington American Legion Post #550 and great support offered by American Legion and VFW Posts from around Minnesota! Volunteer for Flags for Fort Snelling on Saturday, May 26th! As the magical day approaches, Flags for Fort Snelling will need volunteers to help place AND remove the 200,000 American Flags from Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Please check rbcu.org or flagsforfortsnelling.com in the coming weeks to see when the call for volunteers will be going out. Volunteers must have the ability to walk long distances.
