Fundamentals of SBA Lending The U.S. Small Business Administra on s 7(a) loan program is a valuable tool that Lenders can use to serve their small business customers. This seminar will serve as an introduc on to this specialized lending program, providing an overview of the SBA guaranteed loan program. You will learn the basic eligibility requirements for SBA loan applicants and be provided with helpful resources that will allow you to begin to underwrite, close and service SBA loans in compliance with SBA regula ons. Come prepared to learn how to get your lending ins tu on ready for a successful SBA lending program. II. Accoun ng and Tax Update from a CPA Don Johnston, Partner at Grossman, Yanak & Ford, LLP, will cover topics including updates to tax and financial repor ng ma ers and what is on the horizon under the new administra on. 3:45 5:00pm I. SBA Hot Topics The session will point out recent changes to SOPs (I) and 50 57, as well as discuss some of the SOP provisions that tend to be most commonly debated or subject to mul ple interpreta ons by SBA Lenders. We will start by discussing credit and underwri ng requirements in the SOP that Lenders may miss that can impact loan eligibility, and move through closing, servicing and work out provisions that may impact the SBA guaranty. Join us to discuss recent changes to affilia on and franchise rules, stay to discuss dos and don t for mergers and acquisi ons using SBA loan proceeds and learn what enforcement ac ons have been the focus of the SBA in recent months. Lending on Liquor Licenses Join an expert liquor license a orney to understand the values of liquor licenses in the market today, the types of licenses available, recent liquor law changes and how to handle common roadblocks in the purchase/transfer, renewal, and encumbrances of liquor licenses as collateral. Or maybe you have a customer who is looking to broaden their markets through interna onal trade but is unsure where to begin. Friday, April 21 9:00 9:45am General Session Bill Flanagan serves as Chief Corporate Rela ons Officer for the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and its affiliated regional development organiza ons. Bill, an experienced broadcast journalist, is the host and producer of "Our Region's Business", a weekly business public affairs program broadcast on WPXI-TV, PCNC, and YouTube. Bill will provide insight on the latest business news, informa on, important issues facing employers in the region, as well as the issues that are ge ng in the way of business investment and job growth. 11:30 1:00pm Luncheon and General Session Jack Manning, President & Execu ve Director of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce and Execu ve Director of the Beaver County Partnership for Economic and Community Growth. He is also the owner and principal of Pinebrook Co age Consul ng, which he started a er a more than 35 year career in the chemical and plas cs industry. Mr. Manning will discuss the impact of the Shell Ethane Cracker facility being constructed in Beaver County.
