Important changes become efective February 9, 2019 Following Skagit Bank s merger with Banner Bank, this booklet provides important information regarding changes that may impact you or your accounts. Our teams are available to assist you. Please let us know if you d like our help. Key Dates and Things To Do Page 3 Branch Locations Detail Page 4 Several Skagit Bank and Banner Bank locations are very near one another. Three current Skagit Bank locations and two current Banner Bank locations will be consolidated. Begin using the new deposit slips after Friday February 8, 2019, and shred any remaining Skagit Bank deposit slips. Debit and Commercial Credit Card(s) Page 6 You will receive new Mastercard business debit card(s) in late January. Begin using the new debit card after 4:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, Be sure to contact merchants and other digital payment providers (i.e. Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, etc.) that automatically charge your card to avoid service disruptions (ofce supplies, cellular phone, etc.).the merchant will need your new debit card number and expiration date. Commercial Credit Cards There are no changes to Skagit Bank commercial credit cards. Commercial Loans The address to which loan payments are mailed is changing. Please note the new address. Page 7 Business Online Banking and Treasury Services Page 8 If you currently use online banking with Skagit Bank, the accounts and services you use will be transferred automatically to Banner Bank s Business Online Banking. Treasury management services, such as Remote Deposit or Positive Pay, will also be transferred to corresponding services at Banner. Learn about changes that could impact your business. Get Started with Business Online Banking and Mobile Banking Page 10 As we bring our computer systems together, Banner Bank s Business Online Banking will have a familiar look to you. If your business utilizes online banking, action may be required. Merchant Services There are no changes at this time for businesses using Skagit Bank merchant processing solutions through Merchant-eSolutions. In early January, you will receive details about the conversion of your merchant process to Banner Bank s merchant services program. Account Changes Page 14 Your checking and savings account number(s) will not change. Also, this section includes details about other changes to accounts. 4 Key Dates and Things to Do: February 1: Last day to enroll in Skagit Bank s online banking system. Thursday, February 7: Online originated ACH requests will be processed through 4:00pm Pacifc Time. Before Friday, February 8: Save hard copies of any international wire template payee details to facilitate recreating them in Banner Bank s International Wire program, Cambridge. Print or save Remote Deposit historical reporting. Friday, February 8th: Schedule Online Banking Bill Payments and make changes to payees or existing payments before Skagit Bank s Bill Pay services become unavailable at 12:00pm (noon) Pacifc Time. Domestic wire requests must be made before 2:00pm Pacifc Time. Skagit Bank s mobile deposit service becomes unavailable at 4:00pm Pacifc Time. Activate and begin using your Banner Bank Business debit Card(s) after 4:00 pm Pacifc Time. Stop using your Skagit Bank debit card after 5:00pm Pacifc Time. Notify vendors who routinely charge your card(s) of your new card number and expiration date. Download transactions to Quicken or QuickBooks before 5:00pm Pacifc Time. Make fnal Online Banking transfers between your Skagit Bank accounts by 5:00pm Pacifc time. Print or save images of checks that cleared your account between December 2018 and February 2019, as they will not be immediately available. If you have a February estatement from Skagit Bank, consider saving or printing it if you will need it right away. The February estatements will not be immediately available. Skagit Bank s online banking is unavailable after 5:00pm Pacifc Time. Beginning Saturday, February 9: Begin using Banner Bank deposit slips (you may continue to use Skagit Bank checks until you need to order). Update recurring ACH templates with Banner Bank s routing number ( ). Use Banner Bank s routing number ( ) when establishing new automatic payments or deposits. If you have Commercial loans with Skagit Bank, the address to which you mail payments is changing to Banner Bank. After 7:00am Pacifc Time, Monday, February 11: Get started on Banner Business Online Banking. Verify account information. Verify Bill Pay payee and scheduled payment information, including the funding account. Verify enrollment in Online Statements. Verify alerts, custom account and payee nicknames are correct. Update online bookmarks and favorites to Add Banner addresses to safe Verify contact information (including address) under Settings, Security Preferences. Modify Quicken download settings. 6 Conversion Dates The conversion of Skagit Bank accounts and services to Banner Bank begins at the close of business on Friday, February 8, 2019, and continues throughout the weekend. Account Number, Checks and Deposit Slips Your checking and savings account numbers are not changing unless you ve been previously notifed. Continue using your existing Skagit Bank checks until you need to reorder. After February 8, 2019, if you reorder checks through a provider other than Banner Bank, be sure to note Banner Bank s routing number, which is To ensure you have the correct information on checks or deposit slips ordered through other providers, please refer to the form at bannerbank.com/ welcome-skagit. Do not begin using Banner Bank checks or deposit slips until Saturday, February 9, You will receive a replacement order of commercial deposit slips at our expense in January, with Banner Bank s internal routing number. Begin using the new deposit slips after Friday, February 8, Shred, or safely discard, any remaining Skagit Bank deposit slips. Automatic Payments and Direct Deposits No action is required for any automatic payments or direct deposits you currently have established, but we encourage you to update those transactions with your new Banner Bank routing number. If you establish a new automatic deposit or payment after Friday, February 8, 2019, provide the payee with Banner Bank s routing number, which is If you previously requested Skagit to perform an automatic payment or transfer between your Skagit checking or savings account and an account at another bank, this transfer will end after this system conversion. Banner Bank-by-Phone Get account information through Banner Bank-by-Phone by calling (24 hours a day) beginning at 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, To establish access, enter your account number and your company EIN to create an access code (sometimes referred to as a Personal Identifcation Number or PIN). Note: Available balances will not include any overdraft limits or overdraft protection balances (if applicable). 5

7 Banner Bank Mastercard Business Debit and Commercial Credit Cards Skagit Bank business debit cardholders will soon receive new Banner Bank Mastercard business debit card(s). Features of your new Mastercard business debit card include: No ATM fee to access any of Banner Bank s nearly 200 ATMs in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho. EMV chip technology for advanced fraud protection. Banner Bank does not charge you for the use of non-banner Bank ATMs. The owners of other ATMs may impose a surcharge, however. Your daily cash withdrawal limit remains the same. Contact your branch if you need a limit review. Daily point of sale limit up to $5,000. Contact your branch to request a custom limit. Debit card and other transactions beginning Friday, February 8, 2019 through Monday, February 11, 2019, may not appear in Online Banking until Monday, February 11, 2019 at 7:00am Pacifc Time. When your new card arrives: ACTIVATE SELECT A PIN of your choice when you call to activate your new card. The activation number will be on a sticker on the front of your new card. STOP STOP USING your Skagit Bank debit card at 4:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, START CHANGE START USING your new Banner Bank debit card at 4:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, Your new debit card WILL HAVE A NEW NUMBER. Contact merchants or other digital payment providers (i.e. Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, etc.) that you have given permission to automatically charge your card to avoid service disruptions (ofce supplies, cellular phone, etc.). The merchants will need your new debit card number and expiration date. If you or your business currently has a Skagit Bank Commercial credit card, your card will continue uninterrupted until its expiration date. Skagit Bank s credit card program was provided through a company called Elan. Banner Bank will not be continuing that program. However, your credit card will continue to be actively supported by Elan. Your branch will no longer be able to service, accept payments, or provide information regarding your Skagit Bank branded credit card. At your card expiration date, your new credit card plastic will be reissued by Elan without Skagit Bank branding. International Transactions If you plan to travel outside the U.S., or require access for international purchases, please contact your local branch, or call us at (24 hours a day). Using ATMs ATM Availability To maximize ATM availability, we will begin converting Skagit Bank ATMs to Banner Bank on Monday, January 28, 2019, and continuing through Friday, February 8, ATMs converted to Banner Bank prior to Friday, February 8, 2019 will be unavailable for Skagit Bank Transfers, PIN number changes, and Deposits until Monday, February 11, Balance inquiries at any ATM will not be supported during the conversion dates beginning at 4:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, 2019 until the morning of Monday, February 11,

8 Commercial Lending including SBA Loans Unless you have already been informed otherwise, the terms and conditions of all loans, including note rate, term, payment and payment due date, will remain the same. Beginning February 11, 2019, you will have the option of making payments at any Banner Bank branch, through Banner Online Banking or by mail. If you choose to mail your payment, please make your checks payable to Banner Bank and mail to: Banner Bank New Loan Statement P.O. Box 1117 Walla Walla, WA The address to which you mail your payments will be the one listed above beginning February 9, If you have already been billed for a payment but want to remit after the conversion date, please use the most recent statement you received and send the payment to the Banner Bank address listed on this page. Or, you may visit any Banner Bank branch to make a payment. Banner Bank Loan Account Number Your loan account number will be refected on your monthly billing statement. If you currently use an electronic bill pay service to pay your loan, you will need to update the payee name and the address to which payment is directed. You should expect to see your monthly billing statement arrive approximately days prior to the due date. Clients with commercial loans will receive monthly statements which replace the Coupon Books previously provided by Skagit Bank. Loan Sweeps If you have a loan sweep established with Skagit Bank, will remain in place after the system conversion. Payments If you currently mail your payment, you may continue to do so. Although payments to the former address will be forwarded, please mail your payments to Banner Bank at the address above to expedite processing. For your convenience, you may also make payments at any Banner Bank branch. If you currently make automatic payments from your Skagit Bank checking account, this service will continue uninterrupted. If you would like to initiate this service, call us at during regular business hours. Online Payments Banner Bank ofers an online loan payment service through Banner Business Online Banking. If you are not currently a Skagit Online Banking client, you may enroll at bannerbank.com on or after February 11, If you currently make your payments from another fnancial institution s online bill pay service, please be sure the account number, payee, and remittance address is the same as what is shown on your new Banner Bank loan statement. 7

9 Business Online Banking and Treasury Services Prepare your Skagit Bank Online Banking Tool(s) for Conversion Important Conversion Weekend Dates and Times: Skagit Bank Online Banking access is available until 5:00pm Pacifc Time, Friday, February 8, 2019 Banner Bank Online Banking access becomes available at 7:00am Pacifc Time, Monday, February 11, 2019 There will be no access to online banking from 5:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, 2019 until 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, Transaction History We will transition the most recent 180 days of account transaction history to Banner s online banking system for your convenience. Electronic Deposit Statements 18 months of estatement history will be converted for clients currently enrolled in Skagit Bank s Business Online Banking service. February statements prepared prior to February 8, 2019, will not be immediately available for viewing within Online Banking. Historical account statements are expected to be available to view and print no later than February 15, If you currently do not receive your statements electronically, you can enroll in estatements beginning Monday, February 11, Check Images Print or save any images to which you may need access until all check images become available, which is anticipated to be no later than the end of March, Online ACH and Wire Transfers Skagit Bank will process online-initiated ACH transfer requests through 4:00pm Pacifc Time on Thursday, February 7, 2019, and domestic wire transfer requests through 2:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, Any future dated or recurring wire transfer and ACH transaction requests or pending settlements will automatically convert to Banner Bank s Business Online Banking for settlement after February 11, Beginning February 11, 2019, all new wire and ACH transaction originations must be completed through Business Online Banking. While recurring ACH transactions will automatically convert, we recommend that you update any recurring ACH templates with the Banner Bank routing number ( ) as of February 11, ACH Notifcation of Change (NOC), ACH Returns and EDI Reporting As of February 11, 2019, you will no longer access your ACH NOC, Returns or EDI (if receiving EDI translation) reporting details through Skagit Bank s FedReporter service. You will now access this information through Business Online Banking, and will be receiving additional information regarding this process. International Wires As of February 11, 2019, you will have access to our enhanced international wire transfer system, Cambridge, which will enable you to issue both US dollar and foreign currency international wires. Note that any existing international wire templates that you have will not automatically convert to the new platform. We recommend that you keep hard copies of your existing payee information to recreate the templates in Banner Bank Online Banking. Remote Deposit Skagit Bank will process all items deposited by Remote Deposit through 5:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, All deposits will be hard-posted to your account during overnight processing. Deposits made by 5:00pm Pacifc Time will be credited to your account on the same day. We recommend that you save or print any historical reporting prior to system conversion on Friday, February 8, Scheduled and Recurring Bill Payments Your access to the Skagit Bank bill pay system will be unavailable after 12:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, Banner Bank s bill pay system will 8

10 be made available to you for online access beginning 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, Any future-dated transaction and recurring payments due after February 9, 2019, will be converted automatically into Banner Bank s bill pay service and processed according to the due date. While recurring payments will convert automatically, we recommend that you verify your payee information after the system conversion. Please note that any electronic bill payments, while scheduled by the due date, will be debited from your account the prior business day to ensure timely transfer of the funds. Any check issue payments will be debited from your account at the time the check is actually presented to the Bank for clearing. If you have multiple users for your business bill pay access, you will need to reset those additional users permissions in Banner Bank s bill pay service once the system becomes available on February 11, ebills with Bill Pay ebills will automatically convert and will be available beginning 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, Positive Pay If you currently use Positive Pay at Skagit Bank, you will be converted to Banner Bank s Positive Pay services. You will receive additional communication regarding this process. Please note the cut-of time to notify Banner Bank with decisions for exceptions is 11:00am Pacifc Time and the default for unanswered exceptions is to return the items. Online Banking Enrollment Beginning Friday, February 1, 2019, Skagit Online Banking Enrollment will be disabled. Clients can enroll into Banner s Business Online Banking beginning at 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, Skagit Mobile Deposit Skagit Mobile Deposit will be unavailable after 4:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, Banner Bank s Snapshot Deposit will be available for converted Skagit Banking clients to use beginning at 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, Download Banking Transactions Download Skagit Bank account information into your fnancial management software such as QuickBooks and Quicken by 5:00pm Pacifc Time, Friday, February 8, Existing Banner Bank client? If you are a client of both Skagit Bank and Banner Bank and use online services at both, your existing Banner Bank online services will remain unchanged and your Skagit Online service will convert to Banner s Online Banking. This may create a situation in which you have more than one online service with Banner. After you log in to your Online Banking account, please send us a secure message (Select Messages from the menu) for assistance merging these services. 9

11 Banner Business Online Banking and Treasury Services Get Started with Banner Online and Mobile Banking Beginning Monday, February 11, 2019 at 7:00am Pacifc Time, Banner Bank s online banking tools will show your balances available for use. Business Online Banking is a fast and secure way to conduct your daily banking transactions. Visit bannerbank.com to get started. FEBRUARY 11 MONDAY Like Skagit Bank, Banner uses multi-factor authentication to increase security when you re using online banking. This means that whenever you sign in to online banking from a device that has not previously been used, or on which you have cleared your browsing history, you will be prompted to receive a secure access code that will be delivered to an address or mobile device. This secure access code is required to gain access to online banking. If you currently originate ACH or wires, an additional security token will be required to approve these transactions. Please see the Online Wire Transfers, ACH Payments and Collections section below for more information. To get started, launch your web browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla, Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari), go to bannerbank.com and follow the steps below. There are many web browser versions that provide adequate protection. To verify if your web browser version is adequate go to: 1. Sign in to Banner;s Business Online Banking. From the Bannerbank.com home page, select Online Banking and click on the Sign In button. Continue to use your current Online Banking ID and password. Enter your current Skagit Online Banking password. Choose a Secure Access Code delivery target (i.e., a cellular phone on which you can receive text messages or an address). Enter the Secure Access Code that you receive. Update your personal profle information. Create a new password. Read and accept Banner Bank Online Banking Terms and Conditions. Register your device and you are ready to begin using your Online Banking. 2. Access Mobile Banking. There is no separate registration requirement to use mobile banking. However, you must have Business Online Banking to use mobile banking. As you access Online Banking (described above), list your mobile device(s) while you reestablish your Secure Access Code and Business Online Banking will automatically confgure the mobile device(s). Visit the app store for your Apple or Android device and download the most current Banner Bank app. 10

12 Business Online Banking and Treasury Services Note that all functions, such as VIP tokens, and user preferences from an existing app will automatically convert to the new app. Other than downloading the new app, no additional set-up is required. Simply enter your Login ID and Password to access mobile banking. 3. Access Text Banking. Enjoy the convenience of Text Banking by following this easy two-step process. Step 1: Enroll your mobile number. Sign in to Business Online Banking. Select the Services tab in the left hand navigation bar. Select Text Enrollment. Toggle the enrollment button from of to on. Enter your mobile phone number and agree to the terms. Step 2: Nickname your accounts with Short Codes. Go to Settings, Account Preferences. Select the Account you wish to enroll. Select the SMS/Text tab. Click or tap the SMS/Text Enrollment toggle to enroll the account. Click the edit icon in the SMS/Text Display name feld to give your account a nickname. You are now ready to access account information using Text Banking. 4. Access estatements. Sign in to Online Banking. Select the Transactions tab in the left hand navigation bar. Select Statements and follow the on-screen instructions if you are enrolling for the frst time. Please note for Account Analysis statements: Banner Bank s Account Analysis statements are available only as estatements. Make sure to enroll your analysis statements at the same time you enroll your deposit account statements. Account Analysis If you are currently using analyzed accounts at Skagit Bank, you will be converted to corresponding accounts and analysis composite relationships at Banner Bank. Banner ofers a competitive earnings credit calculated on the average monthly collected balance. Your fnal analysis statement with Skagit Bank will be January s statement provided on or around February 11. The fnal analysis fees charged by Skagit Bank will be in January 2019 for your December 2018 analysis activity. Any fees accrued for your January and February activity with Skagit Bank will be waived, as will your February activity with Banner. Also note: Banner Account Analysis statements are made available by the 15th of the month for the previous month s activity. Analysis fees are also debited from accounts on the 15th of the month. Account Analysis statements are available only as estatements in Business Online Banking. Be sure to enroll your analysis statements when you enroll your deposit account statements. 11

13 Banner Online Banking and Treasury Services Bill Payment Scheduling Tips Banner Bank s Bill Payment service is a change from your current online experience. Please take note of the following, and let us know if you have questions: You can begin sending your bill payments in Banner Bank s Bill Payment service beginning at 7:00am Pacifc Time on Monday, February 11, Payee information that is already established in Skagit Bank s Online Banking Bill Payment system will automatically convert to Banner Bank s Bill Payment service. Recurring payments already established in Skagit Bank s Online Banking system will automatically convert to Banner Bank s Online Banking system. New future dated requests established after February 8, 2019, will be created in Banner Online Banking and will be scheduled based on the due date by which the payment is to be received by the payee. Funds for payments that are sent electronically will be withdrawn from your account, one (1) business day prior to the scheduled payment date. Funds for payments made by check are debited from your account once the check is cashed by the payee. Bill payments submitted by 12:00pm Pacifc Time are included in current business day processing. Bill payments submitted after 12:00pm Pacifc Time are processed on the following business day. Note: When scheduling bill payments, remember that there is no bill payment processing on weekends or bank holidays. Online Wire Transfers, Automated Clearing House Payments and Collections If you have users originating online wire transfers and/or ACH transactions, a security token will be required for transaction approval and release. The tokens provide an additional level of authentication, ensuring only your users who have been granted appropriate access can process these high-value transactions. Here are instructions on how to download our virtual tokens, sometimes referred to as a soft token: Download a soft token by visiting the App Store for your mobile device, and search for VIP ACCESS or type in the following URL into your mobile device: m.vip.symantec.com. The app displays a Credentialed ID at the top and a six digit Security Code below that refreshes every 30 seconds. To use the soft token, simply contact Banner Bank Treasury Management Support at once the token application is downloaded and provide us your credential ID (which starts with 3 letters). Once the token is linked to your login ID, any future ACH or wire you need to process can be achieved using the token. If you have questions, please contact the Banner Bank Treasury Management Support team at Also note: Future-dated Online Wire and ACH transfers with a settlement after February 8, 2019, will be converted to Business Online Banking automatically and you will not have to re-initiate those transfers. Previously created Online Wire and ACH templates with Skagit Bank s system will transfer to Business Online Wire and ACH systems and will be available for use February 11, Please update your templates at that time to begin using Banner s routing number,

14 Banner Online Banking and Treasury Management Remote Deposit If you currently use Remote Deposit at Skagit Bank, you will be converted to Banner Bank s Remote Deposit service. You will receive additional communication regarding this process. Please note, the cutof time to submit a remote deposit to Banner Bank is 6:00pm Pacifc Time. Also note: Items requiring deposit after 5:00pm Pacifc Time on Friday, February 8, 2019, must be deposited through your new Banner Bank Remote Deposit access. Remote Deposit items are hard posted in overnight processing; they are not memo posted or posted to your account in real-time throughout the day. Deposits received by 6:00pm Pacifc Time are credited the same day and will be available for viewing in Business Online Banking the following day. Treasury Management Support Banner Bank s Treasury Management Support team is stafed with technical professionals to assist you with any questions or training you may need. Help is only a phone call or away. You may also request assistance using your secure Message Center in Business Online Banking.
