2 Welcome! To our new customers: First, let me welcome you to North American Savings Bank, or NASB for short. On behalf of the Board of Directors and all of us at NASB, we warmly welcome the entire B&L Bank community to the NASB family. While we have been dedicated to serving the Kansas City and surrounding areas for more than 89 years, the opportunity to join together with B&L Bank and expand our service to Lexington and Odessa is truly exciting. This union leverages the strengths of both banks, increases service offerings and branch access, creates new opportunities for employees, and expands our support for local communities. Our history and core values strongly mirror that of B&L Bank s, and will continue to play a vital role in how we do business. With that said, we realize that any change can often be disconcerting and our top priority is to make this transition as smooth as possible for you. Over the next few weeks, we will be integrating our systems to provide you with the convenience of 11 total full-service banking offices and the use of thousands of surchargefree MoneyPass ATMs, a greater array of products and services, including a suite of online and mobile banking tools. Please take the time to review this Welcome Guide. It outlines the details of the upcoming conversion including a schedule of events, new account information, and answers to questions you may have. 3 From the close of business on Friday, September 23rd until the bank opens on Monday, September 26th, we will be converting your former B&L Bank products and services to NASB s system. In this Welcome Guide, you will find the information you need to prepare for the conversion, including important dates and details about account changes. Please take the time to review this guide carefully. Saturday, September 24, 2016 All B&L Bank and NASB branches will remain closed to prepare for the transition. Please note that while the branches may be closed, you can withdraw cash using your debit card at the ATM throughout the weekend. Lower transaction limits will apply. Monday, September 26, 2016 The NASB and B&L Bank computer systems merger will be complete and you will have full access to all NASB banking locations, ATMs, and products and services, including online and mobile banking. Friday, October 14, 2016 Visit the Lexington or Odessa branch between 11 am - 1 pm for our Open House, as we celebrate our commitment to serving you as a NASB customer. 1

4 IMPORTANT CONVERSION INFORMATION NASB SERVICE WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ACH Transfers and Direct Deposits/Debits Availability of Deposits Branch Banking Hours Direct deposits, direct withdrawals and automatic transfers to and from your account will continue as normal. For full details on the funds availability policy that applies to your accounts, please refer to the enclosed Important Account Information booklet. In addition to banking at our network of 11 convenient branches and 24,000+ Free ATMs nationwide, we also offer a variety of other banking options to simplify your money management. The Lexington and Odessa branches will adopt NASB s extended hours. Certificates of Deposit (CDs) Checking Accounts The current rate and terms of your CD(s) will remain the same until the maturity date. At maturity it will convert to a NASB account that most closely matches your current requirements, features and benefits. You will receive notification at least 30 days prior to maturity. Your checking account will transition to a NASB account listed in the chart on pages 8-9. Checks Your B&L Bank checks will be processed by NASB for two years after conversion. If your account number is changing, you will be notified in a separate mailing, and you will need to begin using your new NASB checks after September 26th. Fee Schedule Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) Loans and Lines of Credit Please be advised that some of your account terms and fees will change due to the merger of B&L Bank and NASB. NASB is now the custodian of your B&L Bank IRA. Your B&L Bank account will remain the same until maturity. At maturity it will convert to a NASB account that most closely matches your current requirements, features and benefits. IRA statements will be mailed annually in January. The terms stated in your loan documents or line of credit will remain unchanged and fees and late charges will be assessed in accordance with your existing contract. You will receive a monthly NASB statement or coupon book which will provide the new payment address. Automatic payments will continue without interruption unless notified in a separate mailing. If your account number will change, NASB will provide more information in a separate mailing. Online and Mobile Banking If you are an online banking customer, you will NOT be automatically enrolled in NASB s Online Banking. Please note: If you are not an owner or signer on an account, you will not have access to this account within NASB Online Banking. NASB Mobile Banking with Mobile Check Deposit provides 24/7 banking convenience when paired with NASB Online Banking. Get balances instantly, deposit checks, transfer funds, pay bills and establish account alerts. 2

5 The following chart contains important instructions and date references that will help ensure a seamless transition of your accounts and services to NASB. IMPORTANT DATES Effective September 26, 2016: The new branch hours for the lobby will be Monday Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. New hours for the drive-thru will be Monday Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. No action needed at this time. ACTION NEEDED Please refer to the enclosed Important Account Information booklet. No action needed. No action needed. If, after reviewing the features of your new account, you determine that it does not meet your needs, please contact your local bank representative. We will be happy to help you identify an account that better meets your needs. If you order checks from a source other than NASB after September 26, 2016, please call our Customer Service Center at , option 3 to obtain important bank-specific information prior to placing your order. IMPORTANT CONVERSION INFORMATION Monday, September 26, 2016: Your account terms and fees will change. Beginning Monday, September 26, 2016: You can make payments at your local NASB branch or through Online or Mobile Banking. Make loan payments from your NASB checking or savings account when you call , option 5, option 2, or from any checking or savings account through nasb.com. Monday, September 26, 2016: You may register for and begin using NASB Mobile Banking. See page 13 for more information on how to access accounts online beginning Monday, September 26, Please print your B&L Bank transaction history and E-Statements prior to Thursday, September 22, 2016, since this information will not be available via NASB Online Banking. All users will need to register for NASB s Online Banking system beginning Monday, September 26th. To use Mobile Banking you must first enroll in NASB Online Banking via a personal computer. Access Mobile Banking by downloading the NASB mobile app from the app store for your device or learn more at nasb.com/online-banking. To log into Mobile Banking, simply use your new NASB Online Banking user ID and password. 3

6 IMPORTANT CONVERSION INFORMATION CONTINUED NASB SERVICE WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW Online Bill Payment If you currently make payments using B&L Bank s online bill payment service, you will NOT be automatically enrolled in NASB s Online Bill Payment service. On September 26th, you can establish one-time or recurring payments, view e-bills and set up payment reminders. Access this service directly from Online or Mobile Banking. Overdraft Services Overdraft services will continue. Safe Deposit Box Service Savings Accounts Your safe deposit box will be transferred to NASB and will be subject to NASB s terms and conditions. You will be billed September 1, 2016 as usual. Your safe deposit box will be subject to NASB s pricing effective September 1, Any new safe deposit boxes opened will be billed annually from the date the box is opened. Please refer to page 20 of the enclosed Important Account Information booklet for the revised Fee Schedule. Interest on savings accounts, with the exception of Select III Savings, is credited quarterly. For most accounts, interest will be credited on your statement date. See the chart on pages for details related to your specific account. Statements All NASB statements for personal accounts will be produced at month-end, and your first statement following the date of October 31, 2016, will reflect the name(s) of your NASB product(s). Statements for commercial accounts will be produced at month-end, and your first statement will be produced on September 30, If you currently receive E-Statements, you will need to re-enroll with NASB. If you receive CD or IRA statements, they will be discontinued. Telephone Banking NASB s free Personal Access Line (PAL) telephone banking service provides 24/7 access to your account information and allows you to check balances, transfer funds, make loan payments, and more. Visa Debit Card (Personal and Business) If you currently have a B&L Bank Debit card, you will receive a new NASB Visa Debit card to access your account(s) after they transition to NASB. You will be able to use your new NASB card at any NASB ATM or 24,000+ MoneyPass ATMs without a fee for cash withdrawals, transfers, and account inquiries. Please visit nasb.com/atm for a full list of free MoneyPass ATMs for your convenience. Wire Transfers NASB s wire transfer cut-off time is 3:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday, for all outgoing wires, including foreign wires. 4

7 IMPORTANT DATES Thursday, September 22, 2016: Payments can no longer be scheduled after September 22nd. Monday, September 26, 2016: Access to NASB Online Bill Pay will be available after you register for NASB s Online Banking and set up Bill Pay on September 26th or later. Saturday, September 24, 2016: You will NOT have access to your safe deposit box. Monday, September 26, 2016: Safe deposit boxes will be available for access. ACTION NEEDED We recommend that you print your B&L Bank payment history, payee list and currently scheduled payments prior to Thursday, September 22, You will need to re-establish any online bill payments after you enroll in NASB Online Banking. Any payments scheduled to be paid prior to Thursday, September 22nd will be processed. All payments scheduled after September 22nd will need to be rescheduled with NASB. For more details about all Overdraft Privilege and Overdraft Protection, please refer to the enclosed Important Account Information booklet. Continue using your keys to access your safe deposit box at its current location. If, after reviewing the features of your new account, you determine that it does not meet your needs, please contact your local bank representative. We will be happy to help you identify an account that better meets your needs. IMPORTANT CONVERSION INFORMATION Friday, September 23, 2016: Your final B&L Bank statement will show a record of transactions through this date. If you have a checking account, you can now take advantage of combined statements one convenient statement that reflects the details of your full financial relationship, including CDs. Available with both paper statements or E-Statements. Thursday, September 22, 2016: B&L Bank telephone banking will be disabled. Monday, September 26, 2016: Automated telephone banking will be available by calling Account balances and history prior to Friday, September 23, 2016, will not be transferred to NASB. B&L Bank ATM/Debit Cards will remain active until September 26th. You will receive a new NASB Visa Debit card and separate PIN mailer prior to the transition to NASB. You will need to come into the branch for a new ATM card. During the weekend of September 23, 2016, balance inquires and transfers will not be available. Balance inquires and transfers will be restored on Monday, September 26, When you access NASB s Personal Access Line, you will be asked for your account number and your personal identification number, which will be the last four digits of your Social Security or tax identification (EIN) number. You will be prompted to change your personal identification number during your initial call. Activate and start using your new NASB Visa Debit Card on Monday, September, 26, 2016 by calling Please visit your local branch after Monday, September 26, 2016 to get a new ATM card. If you have automatic payments from your B&L Bank debit card, you will need to contact your merchant or service provider to update your card information once your new NASB Visa Debit Card is activated. 15 NASB ONLINE BANKING Available Monday, September 26th: Online Banking provides you with instant account access 24/7. You are in control of when, where, and how you bank. It s the smart way to view your accounts, transfer funds and more. If you need assistance enrolling, please visit your local branch. 1. From nasb.com, click the Sign In button on the right side of the screen to enroll in Online Banking. ONLINE BANKING SETUP 2. As a new user, click Register in the list below the User ID field. If you are having trouble registering, it could be that your address is not saved in our system. Please contact Customer Service during normal business hours at , option Complete the required fields, then click Submit. 13

16 4. Create a User ID and Password to complete registration and begin the security profile setup. Click Register. 5. You will then be asked to review the Account Agreement and Disclosures, and accept the terms of the agreement. When Agree is selected, you will be brought to the Setup Profile page. 6. Review the new security features, then click Continue to proceed with setting up your security profile. 14

17 7. Select three challenge questions from the drop-downs and type the answers. Note: Answers cannot be exact duplicates across questions and are not case-sensitive. Click Continue. ONLINE BANKING SETUP 8. Click Select a different image below the image displayed to choose your new Personal Image to proceed with the login process. 9. You can scroll through a variety of images from which you may choose your Personal Image. Click on Select Image for the image you want. 15

18 10. Then, type a name for the personal image as an extra measure of security. Click Continue. Going forward, for security purposes, you should always verify that the image and text display below it are correct before entering your password. 11. You will be able to review your personal questions and image and make edits, if necessary, before submitting. If satisfied, click Submit. 12. Once you re logged in, you will arrive on the main Accounts Summary page. This gives you immediate access to your account information and the services used regularly. 16

As a NASB customer, you also have access to a locally based Customer Service Center at , option 3 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday-Friday, and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday. Representatives will be able to answer your questions regarding changes to your account as well as any other services available at NASB. Will I have access to Telephone Banking at NASB? Yes. Beginning September 26th, you may call NASB s Personal Access Line (PAL) at When you access NASB s Personal Access Line, you will be asked for your account number and your personal identification number, which will be the last four digits of your Social Security or tax identification (EIN) number. You will be prompted to change your personal identification number during your initial call. Deposit Account Information Will there be changes to my account? There may be some changes to the terms and conditions of your account. B&L Bank accounts were carefully reviewed and matched to the NASB accounts they most closely resembled. In addition, we have some new products to offer you. Your banker is also available to review your accounts with you to assure they are the best accounts to meet your needs. Please read the product section in this guide to learn more about the products that have changed. 19

22 Will my deposit account numbers remain the same? There will be no changes to the majority of account numbers. If your account number will change, NASB will provide more information in a separate mailing. Will my branch transactions process as they do today? In most cases all deposits made at a branch location will process on the day they are deposited until close at 6:00 pm, but please note that Saturday is not considered a business day and deposits made on Saturday will be posted on the following business day. Will I need to replace my current checks? No. You can continue to use your B&L Bank checks for up to two years after the conversion. How will transactions post to my checking and savings accounts? Please refer to your Important Account Information booklet for more details. Can I continue to use my current deposit and withdrawal tickets? Yes. You may continue to use your current deposit and withdrawal tickets until September 23rd. On September 26th, new multi-purpose deposit/withdrawal tickets will be available in your branch. You may also continue to use your preprinted deposit tickets (provided your account number did not change). How does NASB calculate interest for interest-bearing checking and savings accounts? NASB accrues interest on the current balance on interest-bearing checking and savings accounts. Interest on checking accounts is compounded daily and credited monthly. Interest on savings accounts will compound daily, and with the exception of Select III Savings, is credited quarterly. When will I receive my checking account statement from NASB? All checking account statements will be produced at month-end. Your first statement following the date of October 31, 2016, will reflect the title of your NASB product. If you currently receive E-Statements, you will need to re-enroll with NASB. When will I receive my savings account statement from NASB? All savings account statements will be produced quarterly, with the exception of Select III Savings, which will be produced monthly. Will I continue to receive E-Statements? If you currently receive E-Statements, you will need to re-enroll with NASB. E-Statements are available through NASB s Online Banking on or after September 26th. Will I continue to receive check images? No. If you currently receive check images in your statements that service will no longer continue. You will be able to view check images in Online Banking. Will my direct deposits or automatic payments continue? Yes. There will no interruptions in your service. You should also be aware that if you have an automatic payment, arranged through a third party merchant, scheduled for the week of September 26th, that payment MAY be deducted from your account on Friday, September 23rd depending on how far in advance your merchant sends the payment request. 20

23 I have automatic payments from my B&L Bank debit card. What do I need to do to ensure that automatic payments appear on my new NASB Visa debit card? You will need to contact your merchant or service provider to update your card information once your new card is activated. If I have an automatic transfer set up, when will the transfer take place if it s a weekend or holiday? The automatic transfer will take place on the following business day. Pending transactions will not appear on your account prior to the transactions being posted. What is the NASB routing number? NASB s routing number is How does NASB handle overdrafts? Please refer to the Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees section of the Important Account Information booklet for detailed information about NASB s overdraft practices and the services we offer to help you manage your account(s). Certificate of Deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I renew my Certificate of Deposit (CD) or Individual Retirement Account (IRA)? Your B&L Bank CD or IRA will renew automatically, and will roll over at maturity to a NASB CD or IRA with a similar term. You will also continue to receive a notice prior to maturity. If you want to make changes to your CD or IRA, you will need to visit your local branch to discuss your options prior to the maturity date. Please refer to the Important Account Information booklet included in this packet for grace periods and penalty information. Will I receive separate required minimum distribution notices for my IRA accounts? No. However, your required minimum distribution for the following tax year will be on your annual IRA statement. Debit (Check) and ATM Cards Will I receive a new NASB Visa debit card? Yes. NASB will issue a new Visa debit card before the conversion on September 26th. Customers will need to come in to the branch after September 26th to get an ATM card. Please note: You should continue to use your B&L Bank ATM or debit card until Monday, September 26th. DO NOT destroy your B&L Bank card or attempt to use your new NASB card until Monday, September 26th. Will my debit card PIN change? Yes. You will receive a new PIN in the mail within a day or two before or after your new NASB Visa debit card arrives. You may change your PIN on or after September 26th. How do I activate my new NASB Visa debit card? You can activate your NASB Visa check card by calling on or after September 26th. What will the daily purchase and withdrawal limits be for my new debit card? Your Visa debit card daily limits will be $1,000 for point of sale purchases and $500 at the ATM, with a total daily limit of $1,

24 ATM Information Does NASB offer surcharge-free ATM usage at non-nasb locations? Yes. NASB allows FREE ATM withdrawals at any NASB ATM and those within the MoneyPass ATM network. Transactions at non-nasb branded ATMs and those not in the MoneyPass Network are subject to surcharge fees by the ATM owner. Please visit nasb.com/atm for a full list of free MoneyPass ATMs for your convenience. Online Banking and Bill Pay What will happen to my Online Banking and Bill Pay? If you are an online banking customer, you will NOT be automatically be enrolled in NASB s Online Banking. Please print your B&L Bank transaction history and E-Statements prior to Thursday, September 22, 2016, since this information will not be available via NASB Online Banking. Please note: If you are not an owner or signer on an account, you will not have access to this account within NASB Online Banking. If you currently make payments using B&L Bank s online bill payment service, you will NOT be automatically enrolled in NASB s Online Bill Payment service. Access to NASB Online Bill Pay will be available after you register for NASB s Online Banking and set up Bill Pay on September 26th or later. We recommend that you print your B&L Bank payment history, payee list and currently scheduled payments prior to Thursday, September 22, Any automatic payments scheduled to be paid prior to Thursday, September 22nd will be processed and debited from your account. All payments scheduled after September 22nd will need to be rescheduled with NASB. FDIC Insurance Information Will my deposits continue to be insured by the FDIC? Yes. Your deposit accounts will continue to be FDIC insured up to the applicable limits allowed by law. What is the current amount of FDIC insurance coverage? The standard deposit insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category. FDIC insurance covers all deposit accounts, including checking and savings accounts, money market deposit accounts, certificates of deposit, and deposits in IRAs. What happens to my coverage if I have deposits at both NASB and at the B&L Bank? If you are a deposit customer of both NASB and B&L Bank at the time of the acquisition, your deposits will have separate FDIC insurance coverage for a period of six months following the acquisition date. In the case of a time deposit, the coverage continues until the earliest maturity date after the six-month period. In the case of time deposits which mature within six months of the date of the acquisition and which are renewed at the same dollar amount (either with or without accrued interest having been added to the principal amount) and for the same term as the original deposit, the separate insurance applies to the renewed deposits until the first maturity date after the six-month period. Time deposits that mature within six months of the acquisition date and that are renewed on any other basis, or that are not renewed and thereby become demand deposits, are separately insured only until the end of the six-month period. Where can I get more information about FDIC insurance coverage? The FDIC has developed a tool called EDIE the Estimator to calculate whether you are within the FDIC coverage limits at any FDIC-insured bank. This calculator is easy to use and is available at the FDIC website. Before you begin, identify all the deposit accounts that you have at B&L Bank and NASB. Then 22

25 just follow the simple steps on EDIE the Estimator to calculate your coverage. For additional information regarding FDIC insurance coverage, we encourage you to visit the FDIC website at or call 877.ASK.FDIC ( ). Loan Information Will I still be able to use my coupon book to make loan payments? Yes, you may continue using your current coupon book through October 2016 payment. You will receive separate communication regarding any changes to your loan accounts in August and a new coupon book will be provided starting with your payment that is due in November. Please continue to use your existing coupon book to make payments until the new statements begin. Will loan payments post the same date as received? Yes. Loan payments will be credited on the same date received unless payment is received on a weekend or holiday. Those payments will post on the next business day. Will I need to mail my loan payment to a different address? The mailing address on statements produced on or after September 26th will have the following address: NASB, P.O. Box , Kansas City, MO You can also make payments through nasb.com or any NASB branch location. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS My loan payment is automatically deducted from my deposit account. Will this continue? If your payment is automatically deducted from a deposit account, those deductions will continue uninterrupted; no action is required on your part. Will my loan account number change? There will be no changes to the majority of account numbers. If your account number will change, NASB will provide more information in a separate mailing. 23
