Tony G. read the 12 Traditions and David P. read the 12 Concepts. Agenda Serenity Prayer, 12 Traditions, 12 Concepts GSR count/attendance/welcome new GSR s/new Meetings Correction/approval of the minutes Orders of the day 1. Discussion of motions will be limited to GSR s or a Group Representative only. (Supported by the 9th Concept) Extended discussion rests with the Chair. 2. A member may speak once to an issue. 3. A member must be recognized by the Chair to speak. 4. Subcommittee reports will be limited to 10 minutes, plus questions and approval. 5. In order for an item to be placed on the Agenda, it must be in motion form and with a second. 6. Discussion topics must be in written form and given to the Chair. 7. Each member may speak once to a discussion topic for a maximum of 5 minutes. UNITY TREASURERS REPORT: See Attached. - No Report LITERATURE: Spent $544 on literature. Sold $ in literature today. Last months minutes incorrectly stated that we spent $ when the actual amount was $ TFLMS, Steve H- Lit Vice Chair POLICY: We are reworking the policy to make it more user friendly and easier for policy to access necessary information during area service. We are taking all duties and information from archived votes and placing them along with their administrative positions, in the policy. We're archiving the rest in a separate folder. This will make accessing information more efficient. Katie K.- Policy Vicechair.
3 PUBLIC RELATIONS: Website and phone line updated. TYFAUTS, Brandon R.- PR Chair RCM: Attended region in Tannersville, PA. I brought flyers back for the area. Speaking of flyers, we are asking the unity committee to help us remember to take flyers for our events to share with the region. A special events form needs to be filled out for each function. PR- all new groups need to be registered on the world website. If they are not registered and there is an incident, the group will not be covered. The Living Clean Project will be available in Oct The meetings page is updated and shows the city that all meetings are held in. Example: Capital Area of NA or Little Apple. We will have more regional information after we receive the minutes. TFAUTS, Crystal D- Alt RCM. MARATHON: No Report HOSPITALS & INSTITUTIONS: There were 19 in attendance today. Our committee continues to grow. We regret to inform area that Amanda V- H&I vice chair has stepped down due to her moving. The position of vice chair is open. Our committee nominated Matt P for the position. We are diligently trying to fill our open commitments at YMCA, Capital Pavilion, and Woodside. This should be resolved within the next 2 months. TYFAUTS, Jan A- H&I Chair. Facility reports: ARC: No Report C-90: 2nd and 4th Thurs. 7-8pm- Capital Pavilion: 7-8pm first Mon. of month- All is well. Participation is good. Brittany spoke last Monday. Chambers Hill A/C: No report Common Ground: 2nd and 4th Tuesday, 7-8pm.- All is well. Always can use speakers. One year clean time required. Steve B. Conewago Place: Women's- The meeting was combined for men and women this month. The room was full and we were received well with good participation. July will have separated men and women meetings. No problems at the time. Men's- Jan took the meeting in for the month of June and informed me that all went well. She combined the men and women. We will go back to separating them going forward. ILS, Sheldon Cumberland County Prison: Womens -Mon pm- The meeting is going well. Marty and Rachelle went in for me one week and I missed one week last month. Participation is picking up lately. IS, Chris W. Mens -Thur pm and pm- Well attended a week. All participate. No Problems. Dauphin County Prison: Women-every Sunday 9-10am- Only one meeting occurred due to lock down and my vacation. July is back on track. No problems at this time. Men, every Thurs 6:30- Changed locations in prison for meeting. Meetings have been combined. If less than 20, only one meeting. Linda and I alternate Thurs evenings. My meeting went well with 6 in attendance. Sharing good. All good. No meeting 2wks ago. Jim C. Perry County Prison- Thurs-6-7pm PCP growing and doing good. :) Mike G. Salvation Army: 2nd and 4th Sunday- All good. Well attended. Marty F. Schaffner Detention Center: No Report Siena House: No report Woodside: The meeting was taken into facility 2xs this past month. I was on vacation for the other two. No problems. OLD BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: **3 New Motions, 1 positions voted into office** Motion #1: (Reimbursement) I am requesting a check for $ for mileage. Total 250 miles at $0.555 per mile (current federal rate). Intent: Reimbursement for Regional travel as per policy. Intent: to clarify our position to area service as strictly auditing the financial records of area. We do not want any other financial responsibilities to the area.
