POLICY SECOND READING/ADOPTION Recommended Action: That the Board approve the following policies: JLF Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect JLF-E Child Abuse and Neglect Form DJ Bidding / Purchasing DJH Purchasing Contracting Procurement X. NEW BUSINESS 1. AUTHORIZATION OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS TO TRANSFER UP TO 5% BETWEEN COST CENTERS FOR THE FY17 BUDGET YEAR Recommended Action: That the Board authorize the Superintendent of Schools to transfer an amount up to 5% of the total approved for the cost center between cost centers for the FY17 budget year.
3 RSU #34 School Board Minutes Page 3 June AUTHORIZATION OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS, IN CONSULTATION WITH THE FINANCE COMMITTEE, TO ASSIGN FUND BALANCE FOR SPECIFIC SYSTEM NEEDS AND PROJECTS. EXPENDITURE OF ANY ASSIGNED FUNDS SHALL REQUIRE ACTION AT A STATED MEETING OF THE LEGISLATIVE BODY (i.e. DISTRICT BUDGET MEETING.) Recommended Action: That the Board authorize the Superintendent of Schools to assign fund balance amounts for specific system needs. Expenditure of assigned funds shall require action of the legislative body (i.e. district budget meeting.) 3. COMPUTATION AND DECLARATION OF V Recommended Action: That the Board complete the computation of votes and declare that the Regional School Unit No. 34 Budget Validation Referendum held on June 13, 2017 passed with a majority of voters voting in the affirmative. WARRANT ISSUE ORDER Recommended Action: That the assessments of taxes as presented to this meeting be adopted and that the Superintendent of Schools be directed to submit forthwith said assessments to the assessors of each member municipality in the RSU. 5.
