Maintain division average of 20:1 pupil/teacher ratio Meet all state class size requirements Maintain full accreditation in all schools Maintain programs of instruction to meet needs of individual students Minimize layoffs. Take advantage of retirements, resignation, and unanticipated opportunities Monitor elementary per/pupil costs annually Monitor enrollment loss Monitor special education case loads Compensate employees fairly. Survey index and proximity cohort school divisions Hold regular budget meetings Obtain input from superintendent s advisory committees 2

At a minimum 2 Classroom Aides, and 3 Title I Aides (Federal Ed. Jobs Funds), and 1 Transition Coordinator (Federal Ed. Jobs Funds), and 1 Academic Coach (School Improvement Grant) 1 50% AHS Secretary, and 2 MVE Lunchroom Monitors. 13
