6 Kevin Phillips, CFP Senior Vice President Private Wealth Management Kevin credits his father s interest in the markets for inspiring him as a teenager to take his summer earnings to a local investment broker. He followed the advice he received into his life s pursuit. Years later, Kevin was comforted by the industry s evolution from stock transactions into investment planning because it matched his holistic investment philosophy. In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional, Kevin has the FINRA Series 7, Series 8, 63 and 65 registrations. He holds licenses for long-term-care and disability insurance, life insurance, and fixed and variable annuities. Kevin earned bachelor s degrees in finance and insurance from the John A. Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University, which has been named among the Best Business Schools by the Princeton Review. Prior to joining Baird, Kevin s investment career included nearly two decades with A.G. Edwards & Sons and Wells Fargo Advisors. Kevin is an avid cyclist and also enjoys volunteering at his church, hiking, hunting and camping. Each year, he rides 200 miles to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Kevin lives in Mooresville with his wife, Susie, and their two children. 7 Trasha Schwendener Financial Advisor Private Wealth Management Trasha works to educate and guide her clients to better prepare for financial needs and growth in the future as well as the present. Trasha holds true to the belief that the investment process begins by getting to know the client and their needs. Acknowledging and validating those needs opens the door to clear communication and helps build a strong client relationship. Through this level of partnership, Trasha works to bring desired success for both parties. Trasha joined Baird in 2014 with 14 years of industry experience as a Relationship Manger. In that role, Trasha gained extensive B2B experience, managed account retention for over $5.5 million in revenue, handled contract negotiations, and introduced new product lines through online and in-person presentations. Trasha s expertise includes wealth management and trust accounting. Trasha received her bachelor s degree from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and also completed financial planning courses at Queens University. Outside of the workplace, Trasha volunteers her time with the Mooresville Christian Mission Feed Our Children program, National Multiple Sclerosis Society Annual Walk, and is a member of a local self-help group.
