For clients nearing retirement, we provide a step-by-step process that helps them identify and address issues that they may have overlooked from when they should begin taking Social Security benefits to how they may be able to generate income to support the lifestyle they envision. 5 Kenneth Wides Senior Portfolio Management Director Senior Vice President Financial Advisor Ken Wides joined the firm in 1971 and has over 43 years of experience as a Financial Advisor. In addition to the successful client relationships he s established, he manages personalized equity and bond strategies for his clients. Ken is a member of Morgan Stanley s Portfolio Management Group, a highly selective program into which only qualified advisors have been accepted. Ken oversees all client investments and wealth management plans for The Wides Group at Morgan Stanley. His longevity in the business and experience in both up and down markets guides the overall direction and vision for the team. Prior to joining the firm, Ken attended Florida State University where he graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He and his wife, Elaine, have six children, and he enjoys boating, fishing and watching baseball. Sara Wides Nicholson, CFP Financial Planning Specialist Financial Advisor Sara Nicholson joined the firm in 2004, partnering with Ken to enhance the level of service provided to their clients. Sara s focus is on expanding the relationships that The Wides Group currently has, as well as garnering new relationships. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, Sara works with Ken to uncover clients financial needs and goals, formulate strategies to help clients achieve their goals, and execute and monitor these strategies. Sara s previous experience was in the technology consulting industry where she worked as a consultant to both Fortune 500 companies and smaller startups. She received her MBA in Finance from Emory University in 2004 and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication and Math from the University of Miami in Sara and her husband, Ed, have three children and enjoy watching baseball and visiting Ed s family in Ireland. Adam Wides Financial Advisor Adam Wides joined the firm in 2013 to broaden the team s reach into the community and find new families to help guide towards financial security. Adam s addition to The Wides Group provides for a more engaging client experience as he brings new resources and knowledge from which clients can benefit. Adam s roles include relationship building, assisting clients with financial planning and managing client assets. Adam s previous experience was in Commercial Real Estate where he brokered sales of Self-Storage properties built on the trust and confidence his clients had in him. He received his MBA from the University of South Florida in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Finance and a minor in Accounting from the University of Central Florida in In his free time, Adam enjoys fishing, golfing, playing softball, volunteering and spending time with his family.
