Ltd. Pune It is stated that the tenderer can quote in Schedule -B Part-II for the anticipated 1 additional items as foreseen by him. But the Schedule-B, Part-II form is not provided in the tender documents. Kindly clarify. It is stated vide- Cl-76.5 that contractor is not allowed ordinary concrete mixer. Contractor is permitted to do concrete by concrete batching plant or RMC. The concrete items rate of Schedule B are based on P.W.D. DSR Please clarify 2 whether batching plant charges considered in framing the rates also kindly clarify whether rates updated to current DSR shall contain charges of batching plant as they are available in the current DSR. The unused material obtained from hard rock excavation is deposited in spoil banks. It is observed that machanized dozing charges for preparation of spoil bank are not 3 considered in basic rates of all items of excavation in hard strata. Please clarify how the contractor shall be compensated for the additional extra efforts for mechanized The contractors are not allowed to fill up any additional item in Schedule-B Part-II. Hence Schedule-B Part-II form is not provided in tender documents. The batching plant charges are not considered in framing the rates. The rates updated to current DSR shall not contain charges of Batching plant. The contractor may quote accordingly. Additional lead of 500 m. for disposal of excavated material is included in rate analysis. Also sufficient land strip along the canal is available for disposal of excavated material. 1

In practice we contractors use vibratory compactors for compaction of embankment. Also Q.C. & Q.A. measures strictly followed. layer of shrinkage allowance is also layer after each mansoon. Hence considering above factors & huge quantum of embankment, all shrinkage deducted should be released in final bill. Please clarify. Please refer Specification Section Allowance for settlement in height. 5 As per Clause 67 & 63 -para 67.3 & 67.4 on page 163 it is stated that all testing charges for field testing, concrete mix design & laboratory setup are to be borne by the contractor. The same is also stated in clause 63 on page 163. But the charges for the same are not considered in schedule B items. further in para on page 165, It is stated that Q.C. charges of site, Third Party testing & monitoring charges shall be borne by WRD independently also para 67.9 states that testing shall be done from state Q.C. & Third party Q.C. agencies laboratory etc. please clarify who will bear the cost of quality control and quality assurance charges for field tests, mix design, testing of material etc. also clarify the roll of third party in Q.C./ Q.A If contractor is to bear all the charges for Q.A.& Q.C. including laboratory setup then how the contractor shall be compensated as all the charges for Q.A. & Q.C. are not included in Schedule -B? Or the charges reimbursed to the contractor? Please clarify The DSR (PWD & ID) on which rates are based does not include Quality Control charges. So additional charges for Quality Control & Assurance will be paid. Field testing, Material testing charges & laboratory charges will be borne by contractor for which.25 % of Rs. 59,29, ( amount of total Quality Control & Assurance charges ) will be reimbursed to contractor after due verification & necessary & sufficient field test. Third party Quality Control Agency will be appointed for exercising proper monitoring & quality assurance during construction. 2

Hyderabad Clause It is stated that in case the quantity of any item reduces by more than 25 % of tender quantity, then the rate of such item shall be revised as per provision of Sub 6 clause-3 of Clause -38, but payment is limited to 75 % of tender quantity, the contractor is at loss against this item. The contractor should be compensated by revising the rates without any limit of curtailment. Clause-31 - It is stated that quarter under consideration means a period of three 7 calendar months starting from January. Instead the quarter should start from the month of work order date. Clause-63- on reading this clause it is observed that all charges in it are at contractors cost. Also laboratory is to be set up at contractors cost. All the charges to be born by 8 contractor as stated in this clause are not included in the items of schedule B. kindly clarify, how the contractor will be compensated. Clause On going through this clause, it seems that third party & State Q.C. wing are involved in executing this clause. But their roll & terms are not properly defined. In sub clause , It is stated that Agencies asked to equip with testing facility. 9 Which agency? Again in this sub clause it is stated that testing charges for all materials & concrete mix design / job mix for various items, charges shall be born by bidder fully. When third party agency is appointed, then why the bidder should bear all these charges? In sub clause 67.4 it is stated that bidder should establish field laboratory with Clause -38 as per Tender condition. As per Tender condition. 4 equipments, Rs. 3 lakhs shall be recovered from the bidder. When third party is executing Q.C. work then why the bidder should bear the charges? As per information all Q.C. charges are not included in Schedule -B. Please clarify the roll of Third Party Agency & state Q.C. wing. Also clarify who will bear charges. If contractor is to bear all the charges, If contractor is bear the all charges then how he will compensated. ज3 Prathmesh Construction & Ashoka Sthapatya Pvt. Ltd. Auction/Offset price of sand is considered while deriving rates of items from W.R. DSR. Whereas, it is not considered for items of PWD DSR. In practice, the contractor 19 has to procure sand at the same rates including auction price for all items derived from W.R. DSR and PWD DSR. Please clarify, how the contractor shall be compensated for auction rates of sand considered in PWD DSR items? Considering the quantum of excavation work, additional land is required for spoil 20 banks. Please clarify, whether additional land is acquired or propose to acquire & its the tender documents. As far as possible natural sand shall be used. However crush sand use may be allowed in execeptional condition. Please refer clause 1 on page -89. It is stated that 50 % of S.D. shall be released along with final bill & balance after defect liability period. But in clause 61 on page-159, it is stated that, SD amount is only payable after completion of defects liability period. Considering that total S.D. deducted is very huge amount, we request yourself to release 90% of SD during final bill & balance after defect liability period. Please clarify. Please refer clause 63 for Quality Assurance & Testing on page 160. It is stated that all charges for testing of material, mixes & field tests are to be borne by the contractor. Also, the contractor is required to setup laboratory. But, we would like to bring your notice that all above mentioned charges & laboratory setup charges are not considered in items of schedule B. Please clarify, how the contractor shall be compensated or the charges be reimbursed. sufficient land strip along the canal is available for disposal of excavated material.
