2 "We are happy to introduce a new three-day escape to the base of Mt Salkantay for those travelers with limited time. You will follow the path of the Salkantay Trek to our signature lodge and explore the trails and glacial lakes below snow capped peaks. You will experience the same high touch guiding and services for which MLP is well known. Rates 3 day/2 night round-trip itinerary starting in Cusco Services end upon arrival in Cusco on Day 3 January & February 2019: Departures offered every other day November/December 2018 & March 2019: Contact one of our travel specialists for specific departure dates Guaranteed departures with a minimum of two (2) guests Minimum four (4) guests required to open a new departure date RETAIL RATE: Rates and supplements commissionable to Tour Operators & Travel Agents. November March 2019 (except from Dec 15-31) Single Occupancy Notes: US $ 499 per person based on shared accommodation Requested Single: 50% Supplement Single Willing to Share: 25% Supplement WHAT IS INCLUDED? All services and transportation from pick up in Cusco on Day 1 to drop off in Cusco on Day 3. 2 nights lodging in Salkantay Lodge. All meals except breakfast on Day 1 and dinner on Day 3. Service of a bilingual guide (English/Spanish) from Day 1 to Day 3 (other languages available at additional cost). Transportation of personal belongings on the trek by pack horses/mules and/or porters. Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) at Salkantay Lodge. US$20.00 gratuities for service staff (MLP lodge staff), excluding guides. Water, tea, coffee, soft drinks and fresh fruit juices are free of charge at the Salkantay Lodge. NOT INCLUDED: Massage & Spa Services. Laundry Service. Alcoholic beverages. Bottled water and sports drinks are not included. In an effort to reduce plastic waste on the trail and at the lodge we encourage guests to use refillable water bottles. For this purpose we provide an ample supply of the highest - quality filtered water. Local taxes (18% IGV) on meals and lodging applicable to Peruvians, foreign residents in Peru and tourists traveling in Peru for 60+ days. 1

3 HALF DAY AT MACHU PICCHU Extending the feeling of adventure and exploration, Mountain Lodges of Peru offers an additional day to visit Machu Picchu. We depart Salkantay Lodge in the afternoon and drive to our hotel in Sacred Valley. The next morning we rise early to catch the train to Aguas Calientes and by bus we arrive at Machu Picchu Sanctuary. After a guided visit, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and train ride back to Ollantaytambo where we meet our vehicle for transfer to Cusco. WHAT IS INCLUDED? Guided half day visit of Machu Picchu Sanctuary (includes entrance and transportation to and from the site). All services and transportation (vehicles and trains) until drop off in the City of Cusco. 1 night hotel accommodation in The Sacred Valley of the Incas. All meals except dinner upon arrival in the City of Cusco. Service of a bilingual guide (English/Spanish). Wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) at the hotel. US$20.00 gratuities for service staff (MLP lodge staff), excluding guides. Water, tea, coffee, soft drinks and fresh fruit juices are free of charge. NOT INCLUDED: Tickets to Huayna Picchu Mountain. Massage & Spa Services. Laundry Service. Alcoholic beverages. Bottled water and sports drinks are not included. PRIVATE GUIDES Depending on group size, MLP schedules one main guide or one main and one assistant guide. Private English speaking guides can be arranged at the additional cost per guide for the standard itinerary (regardless of the number of guests). The private guide would join the group in addition to the standard guides or assistant guides provided by MLP. Please inquire for guiding in other languages. 2

4 Terms and Conditions RESERVATIONS At time of reservations, MLP will need the following information: Departure Date, Full Name, Passport Number, Nationality and Date of Birth of all participants. A reservation is usually granted a 48 hours hold until a deposit is paid and confirmed. If a deposit is not made during this time frame, MLP may release the space to serve another request. However existing reservations on hold will be contacted before to be released. Full guest information needed 90 days prior to departure date. PAYMENT A non-refundable deposit of US$ per person is required to confirm a reservation for the 3-Day Salkantay Excursion. An additional US$ per person non-refundable deposit is required for guests who choose to add the Half-Day Machu Picchu Excursion to their itinerary. The full balance payment will be due 60 days prior to arrival, regardless of itinerary length. Additional travel services purchased through MLP may have different payment and cancellation terms. Please inquire with your MLP travel specialist for more detailed information. CANCELLATIONS MLP requires written notification of cancellations by or fax. For both the and Half-Day Machu Picchu Excursion the following cancellation rules apply: 30+ days prior to trip start date: US $ per person deposit is non-refundable days prior to trip start date: guests will forfeit 100% of the trip cost. TRANSFER FEE: TRANSFERRING FROM ONE DEPARTURE TO ANOTHER 60+ days prior to trip start date: US$ per person 59 to 30 days prior to trip start date: 25% of the total trip cost 29 days or less prior to trip start date: 50% of the total trip cost ADDITIONAL NOTES ON TRANSFERS Guests do not have to decide when requesting a transfer which future departure date they would like to join. The transfer fee is due when confirming the future departure date. Transfers are only valid until the end of the following year depending on availability (for example: if a guest cancels in 2018, the guest must travel on a departure date by December 2019). If there is an increase in the rates from one year to the next, the guest is responsible for assuming the difference, in addition to the transfer fee. 3

5 TRAVEL INSURANCE The Salkantay Trek is an Adventure Travel Activity which takes place in remote locations and at certain times at high altitudes. As such, it contains a certain level of risk. In order to ensure a safe experience for every guest, we kindly request that every guest presents valid proof of insurance coverage as a minimum for Medical Emergency Treatment and Evacuation. Please note that some insurance policies exclude Adventure Travel Activities or similar from the coverage, so please be careful when assessing and/or purchasing your insurance policy and please make sure that the insurance policy includes Adventure Travel Activities or similar. DEFINITION OF VALID PROOF OF INSURANCE Mountain Lodges of Peru requires presentation of the following information at least 60 days prior to trip start date: Name of Insurance Company and Name of Specific Policy (if applicable) Coverage registration number or code 24hr emergency telephone numbers provided by the insurance company Mountain Lodges of Peru (MLP) partners with an insurance company called BUPA GLOBAL TRAVEL a member of the BUPA Group to offer insurance coverage for Medical Emergency Treatment and Evacuation, including Adventure Travel Activities. Upon your request, MLP may purchase this insurance coverage ON YOUR BEHALF from the mentioned supplier at a rate of US$10 per person per day. The full terms of coverage of the mentioned policy can be found at: In the event that a guest has not presented valid proof of insurance to MLP at least 30 days prior to the trip start date, MLP will provide the aforementioned insurance policy at the rate of US$10 per person per day, for the duration of the itinerary purchased through MLP.
