2 SPECIAL PROJECTS 2015 BUDGET 11/26/ Budget Set up Tables 11/25/ Budget Report and Tables 11/24/ Budget Forecast EMS EVALUATION PROJECT This Project is closed. A Service Agreement is being prepared and will be presented to Council. BANKING RFP SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PLAN/POLICY 2014 ROAD PAVING PROJECT Refer to Engineer s Report for detailed update and Construction Inspection Reports. GIS PROJECT E. Peccon has contacted Gateway Engineers to get an update on this project. I have asked Vitali Alexandrov to look into some other GIS out of the box systems and obtain costs. PHASE III PARK REDEVELOPMENT BPI Phase III Bleachers and Press Box Week Ending November 28, 2014 planning schedule a. Continue to work on ADA ramp (there are some design issues to cross an existing parking lot, the ross slope doesn t meet ADA requirement of 2%. We have to make our decision how to proceed. Brentwood Baldwin Whitehall Chamber of Commerce General Meeting Luncheon December 4, 2015 The Georgetown Centre 526 East Bruceton Road Pittsburgh, PA Noon Guest Speaker Angela Garcia Deputy Director, Global Links Global Links is a humanitarian aid organization that works to improve public health and the environment, redirecting millions of tons of medical surplus away from landfills toward resource-poor communities. Based in Pittsburgh, Global Links works with hospitals, healthcare facilities and the community to capture still-useful medical supplies and equipment that can improve or save lives- locally and globally. Angela Garcia, Deputy Director of Global Links, will give a presentation on Global Links' work in Western Pennsylvania and around the world to improve health through the provision of key medical resources. The Chamber will once again collect gifts for South Hills Interfaith Ministries (SHIM) Angel Emporium Each year, SHIM provides gifts to families in their programs. Children and adults shop separately, and then wrap their presents to exchange at home. Gifts are needed for all ages and genders! Simply purchase a gift and bring it unwrapped to the chamber luncheon on December 4 th. 7 Information Technology/Web Page Grant Software 11/25/14 Notified ecivis of Council s decision to enter into an agreement with them. Legal EMS Contract 11/24/14 Indicated to C. Levine that the Draft Agreement is currently being reviewed by EMS. I stated that a question pertaining to the permitted maximum term of the agreement has been raised. I informed C. Levine that former Borough Solicitor Tom Ayoob has indicated that a Borough Council cannot bind another Council into agreements that are longer than 2 years. C. Levine stated he will look into this matter and begin his review of the contract. Brentwood Library Agreement 11/24/14 Indicated to C. Levine that I had sent him and the Library the latest copies of the Agreements. Solicitor 11/24/14 Received a phone call from C. Levine regarding Regular Borough Council meeting. I asked if the Borough could release the Police Chief s Settlement Agreement and the Farrell Investigation. C. Levine indicated that he believes the Settlement Agreement could be relased but that there could be some question on the Farrell Report considering it pertains to personnel. This item will be discussed this evening during Executive Session. Manager s Report Prepared weekly Manager s report. Public Relations 11/24/14 Received a call from the South Hills Record pertaining to their request for information on the Chief s Settlement Agreement and the Investigation.
