25 A R E A T R A N S P O R T A T I O N M I A M I H I G H W A Y S Miami Dade Counties highway infrastructure is an extensive network of roads and highways that connect major employment hubs like Miami International Airport and PortMiami to residential suburbs. This roadway network includes the Florida Turnpike, Interstate 95, State Road 826 (Palmetto), State Road 836 (Dolphin), State Road 821 (Turnpike Homestead Extension) and State Road 874 (Don Shula). Among the twelve largest urban statistical areas, Miami has the most efficient road system.
