2 MEEING OF JANUARY 15, 2019 O: HRU: FROM: Mayor and City Council Don Marr, Chief of taff erry Gulley, ransportation ervices Department Director DAE: December 18, 2018 UBJEC: Approval of 2019 /idewalk Projects RECOMMENDAION: taff and the ransportation Committee recommend a resolution approving the ransportation Division asphalt overlay/sidewalk projects list for BACKGROUND: he ransportation Division reviews the need for street overlays and sidewalk improvements based on conditions, requests, and other factors. he In-House Pavement Improvements program includes asphalt, curb and guttering, pavement striping, and preparation costs for the overlays. he idewalk Improvements program improves the connectivity of the sidewalk system by constructing new sidewalk and replacing or repairing existing sidewalks. his project also includes funding for ADA accessible ramps. DICUION: he 2019 overlay list presents a total of 59,738 linear feet or miles of streets. he 2019 sidewalk improvements list proposes a total of 7,640 linear feet. BUDGE/AFF IMPAC: Funds for labor, equipment, materials and services are included in the 2019 Capital Improvements Program. Attachments: 2019 and idewalks Projects
