The seats to be replaced are located along the right field line. The cmtent seats are fixed in the open position. The new seats will be fold-up style seats that will allow for better access to the seating area. The State of Florida awarded a contract (# ) to Ametican Seating of (]rand Rapids, MI. for stadium seats. City staff obtained a quote fi om Ametican Seating to furnish and install the 308 seats. The quoted cost was $40, Staff has verified that the contract pricing is as awarded by the State of Flmida and that the City may piggyback that contract. Funds for this work are budgeted in the Stadium Fund (Acct # ). The Project Number is I recommend that this purchase be approved as noted above.

The seats to be replaced are located along the right field line. The current seats are fixed in the open position. The new seats will be fold-up seats that will allow the seat to be folded up for better access to the seating area. The State of Florida has a contract (# ) with American Seating of Grand Rapids, ML Vince Gizzi, Parks & Recreation Department Director, requested a quote from American Seating based on the State of Florida contract. The quoted cost was $40, The quoted cost includes work related to the removal and disposal of the existing seats and the installation of the new seats. I was asked to review the quote to verity that the pricing was as awarded by the State of Florida and that the City could piggyback that contract. I have completed the review and found that the pricing is cmtect as awarded by the State of Florida. In addition, the City can piggyback that contract. An award of this work to American Seating will comply with Purchasing Policy. Funds are budgeted in the Stadium Capital Improvement Fund (Acct # ). The Project Number is City Staff request that this item be placed on the consent agenda for the City Commission meeting scheduled for Thursday, December I, Please let me know if you have any questions or require any other information.
3 TO: DATE: MEMORANDUM Chuck Ankney, Purchasing Manager J\ / Vince Gizzi, Parks & Recreation Director~ November 16, 2011 Stadium Grandstand Seat Replacement ================================================================ The Parks & Recreation Department and Engineer staff along with the Dunedin Blue Jays staff performs annual inspections of the Stadium to develop the Capital Improvement Budget. The 308 grandstand seats in the lower portion of the stadium along the right field line were identified and budgeted for replacement in the current fiscal year. The current seats are experiencing deterioration, fading and cracking and are in need of replacement. In addition, the current seats are fixed in the open position. This configuration makes it difficult for individuals to navigate to and from their seats through the crowds. The new seats will be fold-up style to allow for improved access and ease of cleaning and maintenance. The State of Florida has a contract (# ) with American Seating of Grand Rapids, MI. Staff requested and received a quote from American Seating based on the State of Florida contract in the amount of $ Chuck Ankney, Purchasing Department, reviewed the quote and confirmed the pricing was in accordance with the State of Florida contract and that the City of Dunedin could piggyback on the contract. The work includes furnishing the seats along with all installation and disposal of the existing seats. The funds for this work are budgeted in the Stadium Fund (Acct# ) with the project number I will be attending the City Commission meeting on Thursday, December 1, 2011 if there are any questions.
