4 Page 4 New Continuing Education (CE) Bill in Arizona Adds a new CE requirement as a condition for renewal of all resident insurance producer licenses that are renewed on or after January 1, Requires that a resident licensee applying for renewal shall have completed 48 credit hours of approved CE, including 6 hours of ethics training, during the 48 month license period preceding the renewal. (The first time any resident licensee would need to file a certificate of compliance with a renewal application would be on or after January 1, 2018). Amends the CE requirements applicable to renewal by a resident insurance producer licensee holding a non-resident license in another state, and by a non-resident insurance producer licensee. For renewal of a resident insurance producer license issued or last renewed prior to January 1, 2014, preserves the CE requirements under current law that are applicable to a resident insurance producer licensee holding a nonresident insurance producer license in another state. Requires a non-resident insurance producer licensee applying for renewal to comply with the same Arizona CE requirements as a resident if the non-resident s home state does not require CE. Eliminates the exemption from Arizona CE requirements applicable to a non-resident insurance producer licensee applying for renewal whose home state does not require CE.
