LaSWAP The Headteacher prvided an update n issues relating t LaSWAP: The Educatin Funding Agency has accepted the business case made by the Schl which related t a lss f funding due t nn-cmpliance with regulatins fr the delivery f English and Maths curses t Talacre students in 2014/15 academic year. The business case clarified that the Schl was cmpliant with the funding criteria in peratin at the time. The full 50k has been returned. The Schl anticipate that a similar situatin may arise next academic year as the data is retrspective.

2 William Ellis Schl (WES) has taken respnsibility fr cmmissining curses fr Talacre students. The three ther schls have agreed t cntinue the existing funding mdel and WES will nt need t redistribute a share f the net incme this year. 4 Staffing Update The Headteacher reprted that he is cnsulting n a rerganisatin that will result in the creatin f full-time pst fr an exams fficer. The rerganisatin is prpsing ne pst will be redundant and ne member f the teaching staff will lse a teaching and learning respnsibility pint. The Schl is being supprted by Camden HR. Only tw members f teaching staff are leaving in the summer. Recruitment t the vacant English pst was undertaken in February. The Schl is currently fully staffed fr September with the exceptin f ne mdern languages pst. An advert is ut fr a part-time Spanish tutr. The Headteacher is currently trying t create bth flexibility and develpment pprtunities within the staffing structure. Discussin is underway with the Head f Year 8 t take time t develp the pastral prgramme. The Headteacher is cnsidering hw t fill the Head f Year rle and will be lking at mdels f vertical integratin in the future. Additinal supprt will als be required t ensure the site is safe during the building prgramme. Three staff had requested t wrk part-time. The requests have been apprved and will result in savings equivalent t ne FTE pst. 5. Budget Nted that the Year End 2015/16 budget had been apprved at the last PRC meeting subject t any adjustments required in respect f the Talacre redistributin invice and the EFA clawback. The budget has nw been rebalanced t accunt fr the return f the 50k referred t in item 3. Budget prjectins anticipate verspends in 2017/18 (447k) and 2018/19 (1,215k) even when taking int accunt the current carry frward amunt. The detail f changes t the schl funding frmula is still nt yet knwn and there is likely t be a delay in implementatin f the funding frmula. Camden Cuncil are predicting a 12% reductin in funding ver 3 years. Camden are paying fr tw days f cnsultancy t supprt each schl in dealing with the budget issues. Gvernrs agreed that the Autumn term meetings will fcus n understanding and develping planning ptins fr the anticipated budget reductins. Discussins shuld include pprtunities fr sharing resurces with ther lcal schls as well as being clear n the dates when decisins have t be made. Capital funding fr Lndn Vluntary Aided Schls will be subject t a pilt prgramme with funding held in a single pt fr which schls are invited t bid. Student numbers n rll will impact funding: the Schl is currently hlding 10 vacancies with n children n the waiting list. This is equivalent t 65k f funding. Gvernrs cnsidered hw the Schl can alert families in ther brughs that there are vacancies. Prpsals included: advertising within the brughs with easy access t Lndn Overgrund statins. visiting primary schls further afield the Schl currently visits schls in Camden, Islingtn and Barnet. 2

3 Actin: The first meeting in the Autumn Term 2016/17 will primarily fcus n hw the Schl will plan fr the anticipated budget deficits in 2017/18 and 2018/19. 6 Summary f Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the Camden Schls Led Partnership (CSLP). Papers: A summary paper setting ut estimated charges fr 2016/17 SLAs with CSLP was circulated prir t the meeting. A cpy f the Camden Traded Services Prspectus was circulated as backgrund infrmatin. Nted that: The CSLP has been set up as a cmpany and has invited schls represented n the interim CSLP Bard t be funder members. The Chair f WES Gverning Bdy is currently a member f the interim Bard. Gvernrs fcused their discussin particularly n the higher value SLAs which included ICT, Schl Imprvement Supprt, Insurance, Cnnexins/Careers and HR. The ICT csts include ne fte supprt staff in schl with additinal cver when needed. The Schl culd cnsider ther prviders that may charge less as well as pprtunities fr sharing a team f ICT supprt with Parliament Hill. The Headteacher reprted that the Schl is well supprted by the Camden HR team. Opprtunities t seek a schl imprvement service frm ther brughs culd be cnsidered. The Schl reverted back t using the Camden Cnnexins service in 2014/15 and have seen an imprvement in the delivery f these services. WES shares the Lndn Grid fr Learning Bradband csts with Parliament Hill t secure a reductin. Discussin f the SLAs with the CSLP will frm part f the Autumn term budget planning actin set ut in item 5. 7 Safeguarding Nted that: New regulatins fr safeguarding cme int effect in September A Parent Supprt Adviser is leaving this year and the Schl will need t recruit t fill this pst. The Schl will cnsider amending the jb descriptin t incrprate mre respnsibility in respect f safeguarding. This wuld have the added benefit f prviding a nn-teaching member f staff with safeguarding expertise. Actin: An update n the new safeguarding requirements t be prvided at the next PRC meeting in the Autumn term. 8. Review f Plicy fr Dealing with Allegatins Against Members f Staff. Papers: The current plicy fr Dealing with Allegatins Against Members f Staff was 3

Review f the Sickness Absence Management Plicy and Prcedure Papers: The current Sickness Absence Management Plicy and Prcedures were circulated prir t the meeting. Nted: N changes had been made t the existing plicy which was based n the mdel Camden plicy. Reslved: Gvernrs reslved t apprve the Sickness Absence Management Plicy and Prcedures. 10. Disaster Recvery Plan Papers: The Disaster Recvery Plan was circulated prir t the meeting. Nted: Off-site back-up remains an issue. The Schl are planning t purchase a mbile server until the LaSWAP building is cmpleted, which will then huse ff-site prvisin. Reslved: Gvernrs reslved t apprve the Disaster Recvery Plan recgnising the issue raised abve. 11. Building Update Nted: The Headteacher is meeting with architects after the PRC t hear hw the issues with the frnt steps will be reslved. The prpsed landscaping changes can n lnger be funded within the building prgramme, hwever the extensin, learning exchanges, fd technlgy rm and sixth frm building will be fully delivered. Mre will be knwn abut the timetable fr delivery tmrrw. 12 Future agenda items (ther than standing items) A frward plan f meetings is being agreed fr the next academic year. Agenda items fr the next meeting have been agreed as actins at items 5 and 7. 4
