Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. More than 30,000 people in the United States that are affected with this disease. In 1955, when the Foundation was founded, children with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school. Today, due in large part to the work of the Foundation and CF community, many people with CF are living into their 30s, 40s and beyond. Despite tremendous progress, there is still no cure for CF and far too many young people are losing their battle to this fatal disease. Let s Keep Adding Tomorrows! Food, Breweries, and Wineries Sponsor: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation invites you to host a food, brew, or wine tasting station at Beach, Brews and BBQ. Your company will receive the following benefits: Your company name/logo will be included in event marketing collateral and promotional materials, which will include e-blasts, press releases, posters, and programs. One tasting station, to include one 8-foot table with table cloth, chairs, and sinage at your table. (Signage can be provided by sponsor or by CFF) Your company will have the opportunity to use the Beach, Brews and BBQ event logo for internal and approved external communications. As a participating restaurant of the Beach, Brews and BBQ event, your company agrees to: Prepare a signature tasting size dish or dishes at your table that will accommodate 700-1,000 guests. Staff and provided necessary equipment for your tasting station, which will also include plates and utensils. Contribute a minimum of one silent auction item e.g. a chef dining experience, a gift certificate to your restaurant or basket of goods. As a participating brewery/winery company of the Beach, Brews and BBQ event, your compny agrees to: Prepare beverage to satisfy a tasting for approximately 700-1,000 guests. Staffed and provide necessary equipment for your station. Drink-ware will be provided by CFF. Contribute a minimum of one silent auction item, e.g. a pack or keg of your brew, a magnum or bottle of wine, private tasting experience, etc.

Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has unrestricted financial reserves of about 12 times its budgeted annual expenses, following a one-time royalty sale in These funds, along with the public s continuing support, are needed to help accelerate our efforts to pursue a lifelong cure for this fatal disease, develop lifesaving new therapies and help all people with CF live full, productive lives.
