2 Dear Potential Sponsor, Grab your cowboy hat, put on your boots & jeans, and prepare to raise some bucks at the American Cancer Society s 8 th Annual Cattle Baron s Ball in Shreveport, Louisiana! This social event, benefiting the American Cancer Society in Northwest LA, is scheduled for Saturday, August 22 nd This western themed gala will feature a delicious dinner, including live music, dancing, party photos, as well as silent and live auctions. You do not want to miss a part of this incredible evening! Last year s Baron s Ball raised over $47,000 and we anticipate an even bigger and better event this year. The money and awareness raised for the local American Cancer Society programs through this event is what makes this a party with an amazing purpose! In 2014, over 640 cancer patients in Caddo/Bossier were served by the American Cancer Society with approximately 1,400 FREE services and programs, such as wigs, prosthesis, Look Good Feel Better program, Reach to Recovery program, as well as Road to Recovery program. In addition to local services provided, Louisiana currently has 2 ACS funded research grants, including 1 grant inside LSU- Health Science Center in Shreveport totaling over $1 million!
