2 Wellness for all of you True wellness is well rounded. It s more than nutrition and exercise. Physical, mental and financial wellness everything we do and feel affects our overall well-being. A brisk walk in the evening energizes your next morning. A little extra saving each month gives you peace of mind and adds up to bigger savings over time. Daily meditation and mindfulness workshops help you concentrate better at work. Every little gain made in one area leads to healthier habits for mind, for body and for life.
3 Set your baseline Your annual health baseline is an excellent entry point for your optimal wellness journey. It helps you assess the true current condition of your health and take proactive steps to ensure a longer, healthier life. Set aside 10 minutes to complete the Health Questionnaire on the StayWell portal (via bp.com/lifebenefits). The results will give you a roadmap to go for your personal best while also earning points. 125 points Then schedule an annual physical and/or a well-woman exam. The BP medical plan covers one in-network annual physical and one well-woman exam per calendar year at 100%. Try to schedule it early in the year so you can identify any lifestyle changes needed to become a healthier you. 500 points
4 Move your body Excess sitting is now linked with 35 diseases and conditions, including obesity, hypertension and depression. Get moving with the BP Million Step Challenge (MSC). From January 1 December 31, 2019, earn 250 points for each one million steps, up to four million steps for 1,000 points and a special prize. Don t stop there. Watch for: Cool MSC bonus challenges worth up to 100 points New! Two mini-challenges one in the spring and one during the holiday season 125 points each Lots of local activities to keeping you moving points, up to 500 points Need a new Fitbit? You have from now until the end of 2020 to redeem your one-time Fitbit credit. Choose one of five options available at no cost to you.* * Only active employees and their spouses/domestic partners who are enrolled in a BP medical plan will be eligible for a one-time Fitbit credit from January 2019 through December 31, Retail employees and retirees are not eligible for the Fitbit subsidy or any incentive. Certain devices obtained by redeeming your Fitbit promotional code may be considered income by the IRS. Applicable taxes will be deducted from your pay.
5 Feed your mind As important as it is to feed your body, it s just as important to feed your mind. Choose from a wide variety of wellness education, both live and online, including: Four new workshops (one per quarter) on a range of topics to increase your health aptitude and your points 125 points each, up to 375 points 15-minute digital workshops on a range of wellness topics to help you shape your health and boost your mind power 25 points each, up to 125 points The Daily Dash, a selection of mini challenges, videos and useful tips to keep wellness top of mind 10 dashes, 25 points, up to 250 points The best possible you, a mindfulness digital workshop series that helps enhance your emotional and physical well-being 3 workshops, 75 points The 21-day meditation experience Complete 14 videos, 125 points
6 Know your number$ Money plays a critical role in our lives. Financial worries can cause stress and stress can make us sick. Take action now to develop sound money management habits and build toward a secure financial future. An annual financial checkup should be part of everyone s financial plan. Complete a quick online financial fitness assessment to discover your strengths and areas for improvement, then discuss your results with a PwC financial coach to create a plan to achieve the life you want. 125 points If you are within 15 years of retirement and your goal is a secure retirement, take the retirement readiness assessment. Find out your current state and follow up with a PwC financial coach to plan how to create a retirement lifestyle that s meaningful to you. 125 points New this year! You and your spouse/domestic partner can now earn up to 750 points through PwC financial wellness programs.
7 Get fiscal A recent study revealed that two-thirds of all Americans would fail a financial literacy test. Pump up your financial know-how with courses and coaching from PwC. Check out one of the many personal online financial classes from PwC s award-winning financial education program, including a new class, Financial planning for families supporting loved ones with special needs. 125 points each More interest than time? Choose from one of the fastpaced financial digital workshops on a wide range of subjects. 25 points each, up to 125 points Need help with a financial goal? Work one-on-one with a PwC Financial Counselor to pay down debt, save for education, buy a first home, plan for retirement or prepare for the unexpected. Complete three calls by December 19, 2019 for 250 points bp.com/lifebenefits/wellness
8 Live better Lifestyle management gives you access to a personal health coach at your service via telephone to assist you with reaching your health goals. 250 points Livongo s comprehensive diabetes management program provides free test strips on-demand, a complimentary blood glucose meter and support from certified diabetes educators. 3 coaching sessions, 250 points StayWell Ignite Weight Management, a 12-week, virtual group weight management program, with a dedicated health coach is for individuals with a BMI of 30 or higher or metabolic syndrome. 250 points Care management includes condition management and complex case management through various providers.
