Henkel reviews its employee benefits program each year to ensure we are offering our employees and their families comprehensive and competitive benefits. Henkel offers you programs to support your overall health and wellbeing. It s up to you to consider your benefit options carefully during Open Enrollment and to make wise decisions throughout the year. In fact, your daily health and lifestyle decisions have a direct impact on what both you and Henkel pay for the cost of coverage. While Henkel and our employees share the cost of health care benefits, the company pays the majority 77%. This means our employees pay 23% of the cost, and your actions and choices make a difference. We all need to do our part to take healthy actions and become wise health care consumers. Our programs provide tools and resources to help you take charge of your personal well-being. We encourage you to take advantage of all that the plans have to offer. 2 WHAT S NEW FOR 2018 The following benefit changes are effective January 1, Changes to Our Medical Plans All National Plans Now Provided Through Aetna In an effort to provide comprehensive, consistent programs and tools to help you manage your health, we are consolidating our national medical plans to be offered through Aetna. If you are currently covered by BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota (BCBS MN) your coverage will move to Aetna. You do not need to take action during Open Enrollment. Your BCBS MN coverage will automatically transfer to the same plan option with Aetna for Transitioning to Aetna If you are affected by this change, keep in mind: Plan Options: You will continue to have three medical plan options: Point of Service (POS) plan, with the same coverage as the PPO plan HealthFund 90/60 with HSA HealthFund 70/50 with HSA Providers: Approximately 95% of unique providers used by BCBS MN participants are included in the Aetna s POS network. To confirm your provider s participation, visit and search for providers using the Aetna Choice POS II plan network. ID Cards: You ll receive Aetna medical plan ID cards for yourself and your enrolled dependents in the mail in December. You can also download and print your ID card using Aetna Navigator at or access it from the Aetna mobile app, once you ve registered your account beginning in January Transition of Care: If you re undergoing treatment for a specific critical health condition (e.g., third trimester pregnancy, chemo or radiation treatment in progress) as of December 31, 2017, and your doctor or provider is not in Aetna s network, you may be able to continue to receive services with in-network coverage from that provider for a finite period of time. Contact Aetna at (8 am 6 pm EST) for more information on how to transition your care. Prescription Drugs: Your prescription drug coverage will continue to be provided through Express Scripts. Changes to All Aetna Plans Beginning January 1, 2018, the following changes apply to the Choice POS II, HealthFund 90/60 and HealthFund 70/50 plans: Outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy will be limited to 60 visits per calendar year. Limits do not apply to these therapies for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Home health care services will be limited to 120 visits per calendar year. Private duty nursing will be limited to 70 visits per calendar year Contributions Henkel strives to provide competitive and affordable benefit offerings. However, health care costs continue to increase, and Henkel shares the increase in costs with you. Please refer to your 2018 Open Enrollment Guide for the 2018 employee contribution rates. 2

3 HSA Contribution Limits Are Increasing If you participate in one of the HealthFund Plans in 2018, you will be able to make additional pre-tax payroll contributions to the Health Savings Account (HSA), up to the 2018 IRS limit. In 2018 you can contribute: Up to $3,450 for individual coverage Up to $6,900 for family coverage An additional $1,000 catch-up contribution if you are age 55 or older. Don t Forget! If you participate in the HealthFund 90/60 Plan, Henkel contributes to your HSA: Individual: $750 annually Family: $1,125 annually Please note that Henkel s contribution to your HSA count toward the maximum contribution limit; therefore reducing the maximum you can contribute to: Up to $2,700 for individual coverage Up to $5,775 for family coverage Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) Limit Is Increasing For 2018, the amount that you can contribute to your Health Care Reimbursement Account is increasing from $2,550 to $2,600. Increased Tobacco Surcharge Tobacco use plays a key role in your overall health and health care costs. For 2018, the tobacco user surcharge on medical premiums is increasing to $50 per month. Consider participating in the tobacco cessation program to avoid paying the surcharge. Not a tobacco user? Remember! To avoid paying the surcharge, you must certify that you are tobacco-free when enrolling for your benefits. Henkel s New Service Recognition Program In July, Henkel introduced our new Service Recognition Program. When you reach a milestone anniversary date, you will receive a cash award through payroll! When you reach your anniversary, your service award will appear in the first bi-weekly payroll of the month following your anniversary. The award will be titled SVC ANNIV RECOGNITION on your paystub. Awards will be grossed-up, meaning Henkel will pay the taxes and you will receive the full pre-tax value. 4 Enhancements to Life and Accident Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance Increased Company-Provided Life Insurance Henkel provides benefits-eligible employees with basic life insurance coverage, and for 2018 we are improving this benefit to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace. Beginning January 1, 2018, your Company-provided basic life insurance will increase to two times your covered earnings. Covered Earnings Covered earnings is your base salary as of July 1 prior to the plan year. When determining your life and AD&D insurance coverage for 2018, your covered earnings is your base salary as of July 1, New for 2018: Basic AD&D Insurance At No Cost to You Beginning in 2018, Henkel will provide benefitseligible employees with basic AD&D insurance of two times your covered earnings as of July 1, Supplemental Life Insurance and Voluntary AD&D Based on Covered Earnings Beginning January 1, 2018, if you are currently enrolled in supplemental life insurance, your benefit will be based on your earnings as of July 1, 2017, rather than based on the amount of your basic life insurance coverage. Review your coverage at to ensure you have the coverage you want for Voluntary AD&D coverage for 2018 will also be based on your covered earnings as of July 1, 2017 instead of your basic life insurance amount. During Open Enrollment, you will have the opportunity to change your supplemental life insurance and/or voluntary AD&D coverage. You can increase your supplemental life insurance by 1x covered earnings (up to the guaranteed issue amount) without having to provide Evidence of Insurability (EOI). If you are enrolling in supplemental life insurance for the first time, you can elect up to the lesser of 5x covered earnings or $500,000. EOI is not required for voluntary AD&D increases. Go to the Henkel Benefits Service Center to review your beneficiaries and name your beneficiary for AD&D. One!GSC On January 1, 2018, ONE!GSC Horizon will go live in North America. This will lead to a new legal set up: supply chain related activities will be part of the new local supply chain company, Henkel US Operations Corporation, and sales and marketing activities will be part of the new sales and marketing company, Henkel Corporation. According to this new set up, US employees 1 will be employed by one of these two legal entities and may see a change in the legal entity (company) name appearing on paychecks, W-2 forms and other payroll related documents. There is no impact to benefit offerings. We will remain ONE Henkel. Additional information regarding ONE!GSC Horizon will be shared throughout the year. In the meantime, please contact your HR Business Partner with any questions. 1 Henkel Electronics Materials and The Bergquist Company will go live with ONE!GSC Horizon mid 2018 and early 2019 respectively. Henkel Chemical Management will be assigned to a different legal entity and will receive a separate communication. 4

5 YOUR CHOICES MATTER Are you wondering how you can start improving your health today? Aetna provides resources to help you take steps toward a healthier you. Use Aetna s Online Tools and Resources Log in to Aetna Navigator at to find doctors and other providers. You can compare the cost of office visits, tests, and other health care services cost. Aetna also offers programs and tools to help you focus on the issues that matter to you, like weight management, stress management, smoking cessation, and nutrition. Take Advantage of Aetna Health Concierge Aetna Health Concierge offers free, confidential health guidance for you and your covered family members at no cost to you. Through Aetna Health Concierge, you and your family have a dedicated, specially trained nurse to help you make full use of your company benefits for your best health. Get started by calling Aetna Health Concierge at Aetna may also contact you directly. If you get the call, be sure to take advantage of this valuable, no-cost resource! There are a few easy steps you can take to focus on your health and be a wise health care consumer. Use preventive care benefits Preventive care such as annual checkups, annual screenings, or flu shots is provided by Henkel and your medical plan and can reduce your risk of future health conditions. Remember, preventive care is covered at 100% when you use in-network providers! Visit an urgent care facility instead of the ER If you re experiencing a true, life-threatening emergency, don t think twice about going to the emergency room. However, if your condition is not life-threatening, visit an urgent care facility if available in your area. You ll pay less and likely experience shorter waiting times. Choose generic drugs A generic drug is as effective as its brand-name counterpart and costs less to produce. These savings are passed on to you. Ask for the generic equivalent of your prescription drug, and save! Watch for Henkel s New Wellness Program in 2018! Henkel is committed to providing our employees tools and services to help you get healthy and stay healthy. To demonstrate this commitment, we are introducing an enhanced wellness program for Watch for details in the new year! Take Advantage of Your 2017 Wellness Benefits Don t miss out on your Wellness Program rewards for 2017! Complete both actions by December 1, 2017 to receive your 2017 reward. When you take steps to learn about or improve your health, you can be rewarded for your actions. $150 or Fitbit Get the Facts and learn about your health status. Earn 1,000 points to receive $150 or a FitBit: Complete the biometric screening and earn 500 points. Take the health assessment and earn another 500 points. Up to $250 Take Action to earn an additional 100 points and up to $250. Participate in healthy activities such as wellness workshops, healthy challenges, lunch and learns, preventive care, flu shots and health coaching to earn 100 points to receive $250. Or, earn points for joining a health club or participating in a weight management program like Weight Watchers. With 100 points, you can have 50% of your health club or weight management program fees reimbursed by Henkel, up to $250. Visit the Total Rewards Benefits website at to learn more! 5

6 OPEN ENROLLMENT IS OCTOBER 16 THROUGH NOVEMBER 3, 2017 Do you need to take action during Open Enrollment? Yes You need to enroll if you: Are certifying your spouse/domestic partner s eligibility for other medical coverage or your tobacco use status Want to make Health and/or Dependent Care Reimbursement Account and/or Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions in Per IRS regulations, your current savings account elections will not roll over to the new plan year Want to buy or sell vacation. Current elections will not roll over Want to add, change or drop coverage in any of your current benefits Want to enroll or drop coverage in Hospital Indemnity Insurance, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, or Hyatt Legal Services No You do not need to enroll if you: Do not want to contribute to Reimbursement Accounts or Health Savings Account Don t want to buy or sell vacation time for 2018 You do not need to change your information for the spousal surcharge or tobacco use surcharge You want the same benefit at the same coverage level as you ve had in If your current option or plan carrier is no longer available, you will be enrolled in the most similar option. Check your Enrollment Worksheet for your current coverage. 6

7 HOW TO ENROLL Complete your 2018 benefit elections via the Henkel Benefits Service Center at or by calling If you are logging into YBR for the first time, you ll need to register as a new user. You ll answer security questions and create your user ID and password. Online: It s easy to register on YBR by following these simple steps: 1. Go to YBR at and click Are You a New User? 2. Enter the last four digits of your Social Security number, your date of birth and your ZIP code (if needed). 3. Create a user ID, password and password hint. 4. Answer your security questions. By Phone: Review Your Resources Visit the Total Rewards Benefits website at to access education materials, including the 2018 Open Enrollment Guide, and to decide which plans are the best fit for you and your family. Don t forget to use the new website password beginning on October 16!
