2 First, find your client through client search by selecting Servicing, or if you have recently viewed their accounts, select them from Recent.

3 Select Quotes, Dealing & Account Management.

4 Then from the menu select Lump Sums.

5 From the Create a quote screen, follow the steps to either create a new account or select one or more existing accounts for your client.

6 When you have selected the accounts to deal on, and clicked Continue you can now proceed to enter your instructions.

7 The existing investments within the account will show in the Investments grid, you can select further investments to add to the account in a couple of ways. Select investments from the Search for assets drop-down and add each one to the investment grid below.

8 If the client has other accounts, you can select from a list of existing funds they hold in their other accounts from the Client s current funds drop-down. Add each of the investments you want individually, or tick the All funds box to add all investments.

9 In the Investments grid you can now see all the investments you have added. If there are already existing investments in the account, you do not need to select additional investments as just described. You can simply choose to top up the existing investments.

10 When you have selected the investments you want to purchase, complete the Lump sum section. Once you have entered the Amount to be invested and the Adviser Initial Fee you will notice that the Total payable inc. fees ( ): value will be updated to show the investment amount plus fees. Select how the client wants to pay from the Source of lump sum drop-down. You can fund a lump sum from available money in the Cash Management Account the available value shown. Please note, if the payment is coming from a third party, please refer to our guide Third party lump sum payments. If the client is paying by debit card, you will be asked to provide debit card information once you proceed to submission. If the client holds cash in their account, which is available to invest, you can do this as a switch from the cash into an investment. See our separate Switch dealing guide if you need more information on this. You can also select to phase the lump sum instruction this is described in the Phasing investments guide.

11 The next step is to add the percentage of the lump sum amount against each investment in the Investments grid you want to buy. If you have added an investment in error, you can remove it from the Remove all column. You can also remove all investments and start again. Make sure your total allocation adds up to 100%. At this point you can amend the income preference at both the account level, or for each income paying investment individually. Where no individual investment income preferences are specified, the account level preference will be followed.

12 Remember to set your Adviser Ongoing Fee. For more information please see our Adviser Ongoing Fees guide.

13 In the Documents section you will be provided with a range of documents including the required Doing Business with FundsNetwork and Client Terms. At this stage you can also produce a personal illustration for your client. See our Illustrations guide for more details.

14 You now have the option to continue to submission or save your quote for later. Saved quotes can be found in the Quotes & Instructions tab for your client.

15 If you proceed to submission, you will be required to confirm source of funding for AML purposes. You can do this by clicking on the Confirm source of funding link in the Action column.

16 If your client is paying by debit card, you will now be required to enter the relevant details by clicking on the Add debit card link from the Action column.

17 Once source of funding and payment information has been supplied, you are now ready to proceed. If your client is not yet AML verified, you will at this stage be asked to complete all relevant information. If you need more details on AML and other regulatory information required, please see our Creating a new client guide. Tick to confirm the declarations and submit your instruction.

18 A summary of your submitted instruction will be displayed and you will also have the option of printing a copy for your records, by clicking on the Print button.
