2 Firstly, find your client through client search or, if you have recently viewed their accounts, from the left hand panel.

3 When setting up or amending a Regular Savings Plan (RSP), an illustration is generally required. Therefore, most changes are done through the Quote and Transact option when you have the client in context. If you want to cancel or suspend a RSP, you can do this quickly and easily in the Account Summary screen. This is explained later in this document.

4 Click on Quote and Transact and then select either an existing account, or Add New Accounts, and then Continue.

5 From the Create a quote screen, scroll down to find the Regular savings plan section. From here you can either amend an existing plan or set up a new one. To amend an existing savings plan, click on the Edit button at the bottom of the Regular savings plan section.

6 When you enter the total value of the RSP and the Adviser Initial Fee, you will see that the actual investment value is the amount of the collection, less the Adviser Initial Fee taken. Please note, if you wish to cancel an existing RSP, you can also do this from the Account Summary screen by clicking on the arrow under Collection and selecting Remove.

7 NEW You now have the option of selecting one of 4 dates on which the money will be taken from the client s bank account. Where this date falls on a weekend or bank holiday, the money will be taken on the next available business day.

8 NEW You can now specify an end date for the RSP which will happen automatically.

9 NEW Another new feature is the ability to specify the number of collections that an Adviser Initial Fee should be applied to. If you set up a plan to run quarterly and the fee term is set to 4, then you will earn Adviser Initial Fees for the first year the plan is in place after which these will stop automatically. If you set up a fee term and review a client after a period of time, the fee term shown on the account will have reduced according to the number of Adviser Initial Fees taken in that period.

10 NEW You can now specify the month you want the RSP to start. If there are fewer than 10 business days from the submission date to your chosen start date and month, then the first collection will be taken the following month. You can also use this option to skip (suspend) the RSP for up to 3 months by amending the month the next collection is to be taken. Alternatively, you can amend the next collection date from the Account Summary screen.

11 NEW RSPs are no longer constrained to monthly collections as you now have the option of 4 frequencies, starting from the next date you have selected as the collection date after the instruction has been setup.

12 You can either align the investment approach for regular contributions to the portfolio s target allocation, or choose to select the investments manually. If you opt to Select manually, you can make regular contributions to any investments already added to the account, or you can add investments by scrolling to the top of the quote screen. You can search for investments, or select from a list of investments already held by the client.

13 Once you have added the preferred investments, they will show in the investments grid further down on the quote screen. From here, enter against each investment the percentage to be invested in the Regular savings plan target column so that the total adds up to 100%.

14 If you are creating a new account you will be asked to specify an Adviser Ongoing Fee at the same time.

15 Finally, at the bottom of the page you can select the documents you want to provide to your client, including the Personal Illustration. You can now either save the quote for later, or continue if you want to submit the instruction immediately.

16 When you submit an instruction for a new RSP, you will be asked to specify the client s bank account.

17 You have the option of choosing an existing bank account if one is already set up for other purposes, or add details of a new bank account.

18 You will be given the option of printing a direct debit confirmation to provide to your client, if you wish to submit the instruction online, or alternatively a paper copy for them to sign.

19 The declaration can now be made and the instruction submitted.

20 Existing regular savings instructions can be viewed from the Account Summary screen. From here you can edit collection dates or cancel an instruction as such actions do not require personal illustrations.

21 To edit a RSP from Account Summary, click on the arrow under Collection, make the required amendments and Submit. You can cancel an existing instruction by selecting Remove or suspend an instruction by amending the next collection date up to 3 months in the future. Click Submit and your changes will be reflected on-screen immediately.
