1 Online Switch and Redirection Requests Switch and Redirection requests can now be submitted through the Service Centre. This documents outlines the process for submitting a request to Generali
2 Switch and Redirection Requests Introduction A Switch request allows existing fund holdings to be sold and reallocated into different funds. This may be done to remove holdings from an underperforming fund, or to rebalance a portfolio. A Redirection request only applies for plans where new money is being paid into the plan. It specifies in which fund and how much of any new investment should be allocated to that fund. Both types of request are available to be requested through the website, though Redirections will only be shown on plans on which regular investment is being made.
3 Switch and Redirection Requests Getting Started Switch and Redirections are only available online for Choice and Vision products. To start the Switch and Redirection process, view the plan details and click on the Switch/Redirection tab shown in the top menu. The tab is highlighted in the image on the below
4 Switch and Redirection Requests Switches, Part 1 Switching is available to all Vision and Choice plans. Redirections are only available on premium paying Vision plans. To perform a switch, at least one fund must be chosen to sell, along with the percentage of the holding to be sold. Target funds where the proceeds of the sale are to be invested must also be selected. More than one target fund can be selected, however the total percentage allocated must be 100%. Example Plan has a holding in JF Eastern Trust. 50% of this fund is selected to be sold ( switched ), leaving the other 50% still held.
5 Switch and Redirection Requests Switches, Part 2 This sales results in 100% proceeds. These proceeds now need to be used to buy replacement funds. At least one target fund must be specified, though multiple funds can also be used (by clicking on Add Fund). The total amounts must add up to 100% to use up all of the proceeds of the original fund sale.
6 Switch and Redirection Requests Switches, Part 3 If no Redirection is required (or is unavailable), prior to providing the request to Generali you must confirm you wish Generali to proceed with the instruction by ticking on the Confirmation box, highlighted in the image below.. Double check all details as, once submitted, Generali will act on the instruction - Any changes will require contacting Generali directly. Once all details are completed, click on the Proceed button to submit the request to Generali:
7 Switch and Redirection Requests Switches, Part 4 Once submitted, all Switch and Redirection requests are available to view from the Documents tab under the Switches and Redirections subcategory.
8 Switch and Redirection Requests Redirections, Part 1 Redirections are available to all premium-paying Vision plans. To perform a Redirection, at least one fund must be chosen in which to invest future investments. along with the percentage of the premium to invest. More than one target fund can be selected, however the total percentage allocated must add up 100%. Note that the specified investment REPLACES all previous allocations. Example Current premium allocations are shown in the image below
9 Switch and Redirection Requests Redirections, Part 2 If a change is required, select the new funds and the investment percentages from the list on the right. To specify additional funds, click on the Add Fund button. The total percentage across all funds must add up to 100%. This new selection will REPLACE all of the previously selected allocations.
10 Switch and Redirection Requests Redirections, Part 3 Prior to providing the request to Generali you must confirm you wish Generali to proceed with the instruction by ticking on the Confirmation box, highlighted in the image below.. Double check all details as, once submitted, Generali will act on the instruction - Any changes will require contacting Generali directly. Once all details are completed, click on the Proceed button to submit the request to Generali:
