The Due Date remains Thursday, September 7, 2017 by 2:00 p.m. local time at the Purchasing Office, 519 E. 7th Street, Panama City, Florida, Pre-bid meeting minutes and attendance sheet are attached. 3. Revised Bid Schedule is attached. Cabbage Palm, Crepe Myrtle, Muhly Grass, Sod, Mulch, 1 ½ PVC Sleeve, Irrigation System, and Temp. Spigot line items have been added, Line Item Drop Inlet removed, Milling & Superpave 9.5 quantities revised. 4. Please see revised Plan set 13 th St. Streetscape Rev posted on the website. 5. 2 13 th Street Streetscape Pre-Bid Meeting Notes Thursday, August 31, :00 pm; City Hall Conference Commission Room Bid date is Thursday, September 7 th at 2:00pm. We go by the Purchasing Office clock. Pre-bid meeting is not mandatory. Will not repeat the administrative/contractual information in the bid docs. Bid docs are a contract and contractors are to read and understand them. Jimmy Appleby will likely be the inspector on this project. Contract time for substantial completion is 100 days. 30 days to final completion. Liquidated damages are $500 per day. The proposal is a mix of LS and unit prices. It is the contractor s job to familiarize himself with the site work and work required. No work shall be done on weekends and holidays without advance approval by city. An addendum with meeting notes, landscaping plans, and revised bid schedule will be posted by close of business tomorrow, Friday September 1st. No FDOT connection permit or stormwater permit needed for this project. City still trying to confirm if the city must get an FDOT drainage connection permit for the storm pipe connection to the FDOT storm inlet at Beck Ave. Local Preference will not apply to this project since the cost is less than $250K. Same for requirement that contractors be pre-qualified by the city. Follow FDOT Specifications as amended by Special Provisions. Irrigation system to be constructed west of Beck Ave; just a hose bib to be constructed east of Beck for use in watering for grow-in. City will provide meter boxes for contractor to connect to, although on west side city may direct contractor to connect to the existing 1 (+/-) service line instead of a new meter box. Contractor to construct BFPs as listed in plan. Milling west of Beck Avenue is intended to reduce cross slope of pavement. Single core by city found over 6 1/2 of existing asphalt; lower portions appeared to be SAHM; top inch or so looked like S3. Leveling tonnage in bid schedule is in case it is needed. Questions? 1.
